Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Maschine zum Kaltziehen von Stangen und Röhren, aufweicher, bei erhöhter Leistungsfähigkeit, Röhren beliebiger Länge gezogen werden können. Der Prefsring dieser Maschine, durch welchen die Stangen oder Röhren gezogen werden, ist selbstcentrirend gemacht; dadurch ist es möglich, Röhren und Stangen von gleichmäfsigem Querschnitte und wirklich frei von Biegungen und Krümmungen herzustellen. Das Schneckenrad C greift in die Schraube ohne Ende E ein. Die Schraube E wird durch das Stirnrad F und das Getriebe G in Bewegung gesetzt. Je nach der Richtung, in welcher sich das Rad C dreht, bewegt sich die Welle A nach vorwärts oder rückwärts.
