Das in dem übergreifenden Rande bei m befindliche Schlitzloch gestattet das freie Auf- und Niedergleiten der Führungsschraube, also auch das der Hülse D und des mit letzterer verbundenen Zeichenstiftes i. Es hat diese Einrichtung den doppelten Zweck, den beim Bewegen der Drehhülse nicht zu vermeidenden Druck von oben für den Zeichenstift wirkungslos zu machen, sowie beim Niedersenken des Tubus das zu starke Aufstofsen der Diamantspitze auf die Deckglasfläche zu vermeiden. Der Zeichenstift ist in dem Schlittenstück h befestigt, welches in seinem am Vordertheil der Hülse D befindlichen Lager durch die Schraube f, und in entgegengesetzter Richtung durch die Feder g bewegt werden kann.
