Bei dem geringsten Versuche, mit einem Nachschlüssel oder sonstigem Werkzeuge das Schloß von außen as zu öffnen, muß also dieser Bolzen e berührt und dadurch verschoben oder verdreht werden, wodurch die nichtleitenden Stellen f außer Berührung mit den Kontakten c, c¹ kommen, so daß diese an dem blanken Schaft des BoI-zens e anliegen und der Stromkreis geschlossen ist, worauf sofort die Alarmeinrichtung i in Tätigkeit tritt. Der Stromkreis kann auch ein sogenannter Ruhestromkreis sein, also der Kontaktstift aus nichtleitendem Material, Vulkanfibre, Hartgummi usw., bestehen mit leitenden Stellen daran für die Berührungspunkte der Federn c, c¹, so daß ebenfalls bei der geringsten Berührung deis Stiftes die Alarmvorrichtung in Tätigkeit tritt. Die Leitung zu dieser Alarmglocke kann¹ beliebig lang sein, so daß diese Glocke auch fern von der Tür angebracht werden kann. Auch der Steckkontakt h kann etwas abseits des Türrahmens liegen, da ja die Leitungsschnur I so lang genommen werden kann, um bis zum Steckkontakt /; zu langen, so daß am Tage niemand etwas von dem Zwecke, dem dieser Steckkontakt dienen soll, merken kann. Tagsüber bleiben dann die Tür m und der Türpfosten η völlig frei von allem, was auf eine Sicherung des Schlosses oder auf eine Leitung schließen lassen könnte. Aus diesem Grunde ist auch die Befestigung des Kastens durch eine Kramme k vorgesehen, die sich fest um den Hals des Türdrückers 0 legt. Ein Zurückschieben des Kastens, wenn mit dem Nachschlüssel gegen den Bolzen e gestoßen wird, ist schon dadurch nicht möglich; immerhin kann natürlich; auch unten am Kasten noch, eine Festhaltung vorgesehen sein, die natürlich gänzlich unauffällig sein muß, und zu welcher man, genau wie oben, am besten einen schon vorhandenen Haltepunkt, vielleicht den Riegelgriff 0. dgl. wählt. Um zu verhindern, daß mit einem Ruck der BoI-zen e etwa herausgeschleudert wird und durch ein Werkzeug die Federn eventuell auseinandergebogen werden könnten, ist der Bolzen durch einen Sperrstift g gesichert, so daß ein weiteres Zurückschieben desselben nicht möglieh ist; auch kann ein außen angeordneter Stift g¹ die Bewegung nach vorn begrenzen.
