Abstract

Programme-controlled washing machine or dishwasher with an ion exchanger for water softening and with a salt-supply container for regenerating the ion-exchanger mass. The ion exchanger is connected to fresh water via a water inflow which is controlled by a valve switched by the programme control unit of the machine. The opening duration of the valve in the water inflow to the ion exchanger is recorded by means of a time meter. The recorded opening duration of the valve serves as a measure for initiating the operation of regenerating the ion exchanger.

Durch diese Maßnahme wird eine optimale Ausnut­ zung des Ionenaustauschers und gleichzeitig eine Ein­ sparung von Regenerierungssalz erreicht, da die Rege­ nerierung des Ionenaustauschers auf die von diesem tat­ sächlich gelieferte Weichwassermenge bzw. auf dessen maximalste Ergiebigkeit abgestellt ist. Als Zeitmeßgerät kann dabei ein mechanisches Zeitschaltwerk üblicher Bauart Verwendung finden, das elektrisch parallel zum Stromkreis für das Ionenaustauscher-Ventil geschaltet ist. Ist die Ergiebigkeit des Ionenaustauschers z. B. für 60 l enthärtetes Wasser (Weichwasser) bei etwa 21 Grad deutscher Härte (21° D. H.) ausgelegt, so gibt bei einem Ventildurchsatz von IO l/min das Zeitmeßgerät dann nach ca. 6 min. ein Signal (Kommando) an das Programmschaltwerk der betreffenden Waschmaschine zur Einleitung des Regenerierungsvorganges ab und bleibt dann selbst stehen. Nach Beendigung des Rege­ nerierungsvorgangs wird das Zeitmeßgerät wieder be­ triebsbereit (zählbereit) geschaltet und zählt wieder die Öffnungsdauer des Ionenaustauscher-Ventils. Wie aus den vorstehenden Ausführungen hervorgeht, wird die Einleitung des Regenerierungsvorgang für den Ionen­ austauscher (Wasserenthärter) zweckmäßig in Abhän­ gigkeit von der durch diesen geförderten Frischwasser­ menge gesteuert. Besonders vorteilhaft ist es, einen mit dem Zeitmeßgerät zusammenwirkenden Eingabeschal­ ter vorzusehen, über den der jeweilige Härtegrad des Frischwassers vorgegeben werden kann. Damit wird er­ reicht, daß auch die Wasserhärte als zusätzliches Maß für die Einleitung des Regenerierungsvorganges beim Ionenaustauscher mit berücksichtigt wird.This measure ensures optimum utilization of the ion exchanger and, at the same time, a saving of regeneration salt, since the regeneration of the ion exchanger is based on the amount of soft water actually supplied by the latter or on its maximum yield. Programmgesteuerte Wasch- oder Geschirrspül­ maschine mit einem Ionenaustauscher zur Wasser­ enthärtung und einem Salzvorratsbehälter zum Re­ generieren der Ionenaustauschermasse, und der Ionenaustauscher über einen Wasserzulauf, der durch ein vom Programmsteuergerät der Maschine geschaltetes Ventil beherrscht wird, mit der Frisch­ wasserzuleitung in Verbindung gebracht ist, da­ durch gekennzeichnet, daß die Öffnungsdauer des Ventils im Wasserzulauf zum Ionenaustauscher mittels eines Zeitmeßgerätes erfaßt und die erfaßte Öffnungsdauer des Ventils als Maß zur Einleitung des Regenerierungsvorganges für den Ionenaus­ tauscher herangezogen wird.1.
