Um diesem Nachteil abzuhelfen, hat man in der Trommel am Umfang oder an der Welle Bürsten angebracht. Versuche haben aber gezeigt, daß die Bürsten bald unbrauchbar wurden, da immer das ganze Gewicht der Früchte bei der Umdrehung der Trommel auf die Borsten fiel und diese abknickte.Potato washing drum.
