  • Indirekt beheiztes Bimetall
  • Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein indirekt beheiztes Bimetall aus Tragkörper und isoliert darauf angeordneter Heizwicklung.
  • Ublicherweise wird bei indirekt beheizten Bimetallen eine isolierte Heizwicklung aufgebracht. Dabei kann das Bimetall selbst in einem Parallelpfad auch stromdurchflossen sein. Solche Bimetalle biegen sich nach entsprechender Erwärmung aus, so daß sie zeitverzögert einen Kontakt öffnen können und ein Gerät abschalten.
  • Sie werden unter anderem in Leitungsschutzschaltern als thermischer Auslöser eingesetzt, der das Schaltschloß entklinkt, oder auch bei Motorschutzschaltern.
  • Bekanntlich gibt es vielfältige weitere Anwendungsgebiete.
  • Die Isolation besteht üblicherweise aus mehreren Lagen eines temperaturstabilen Werkstoffs - Mineralfaserbänder -, da in der Heizwicklung Temperaturen von 600 bis 700 0C auftreten können. Ein solcher Aufbau ist in der Herstellung sehr aufwendig und dennoch besteht die Gefahr, daß die Isolation beim Aufbringen der Heizwicklung beschädigt wird. Auch das Wickeln und die Einbeziehung der Heizwicklung in einem elektrischen Leitungszug, also das Anschweißen, ist technisch aufwendig.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein indirekt beheiztes Bimetall zu entwickeln, das wirtschaftlich auch in großtechnischem Maßstab herzustellen ist und das eine hohe Betriebssicherheit erreicht.
  • Die Lösung der geschilderten Aufgabe besteht nach der Erfindung darin, daß auf dem Tragkörper eine bewegungsnachgiebige Isolierschicht aufgebracht ist und hierauf eine bewegungsnachgiebige Schicht aus Widerstandsmaterial. Die Schicht aus Widerstandsmaterial führt hierbei den Heizstrom. Ein solches Bimetall kann sich leicht bei Erwärmung ausbiegen.
  • Die Schicht aus elastischem Widerstandsmaterial kann den Stromdurchgangsweg zwischen den Anschlußstellen für die Bimetallheizung nach Art einer Wicklung verlängern, wenn verlängernde Ausnehmungen ausgebildet sind. Insbesondere können die Ausnehmungen einen Mäanderpfad stehen lassen.
  • Ein derartiges indirekt beheiztes Bimetall läßt sich leicht dadurch herstellen, daß auf dem Tragkörper, dem eigentlichen Bimetall, mit einem Plasmabrenner eine 0,05 bis 0,2 mm dicke Schicht aus elektrisch isolierendem Material, wie Al203, aufgespritzt wird. Hierauf kann man dann eine bis zu 0,2 mm Schicht aus Widerstandsmaterial, z. B. Metalloxide, mit dem Plasmabrenner aufbringen, in das durch an sich bekannte Maßnahmen Einschnitte bis auf die Isolierschicht derart eingebracht werden, daß sich zwischen den Anschlußstellen für die Bimetallheizung durch eine Wegverlängerung der gewünschte Widerstandswert ergibt. Man kann hierbei auf die Erfahrungen mit Schichtwiderständen zurückgreifen.
  • Die Erfindung soll anhand eines in der Zeichnung grob schematisch wiedergegebenen Ausführungsbeispiels näher erläutert werden: In Fig. 1 ist ein indirekt beheiztes Bimetall in Aufsicht wiedergegeben.
  • In Fig. 2 ist das Bimetall nach Fig. 1 in Seitenansicht dargestellt.
  • Das indirekt beheizte Bimetall nach Fig. 1 besteht im wesentlichen aus einem Tragkörper 1, dem eigentlichen Bimetallstreifen, auf dem eine bewegungsnachgiebige Isolierschicht 2 aufgebracht ist. Hierauf ist eine bewegungsnachgiebige Schicht 3 aus Widerstandsmaterial aufgebracht. Im Ausführungsbeispiel sind in der Schicht 3 aus Widerstandsmaterial den Stromdurchgangsweg zwischen den Anschlußstellen 4 für die Bimetallheizung verlängernde Ausnehmungen 6 dadurch ausgebildet, daß die Ausnehmungen einen Mäanderpfad stehen lassen. Die Ausnehmungen 6 können durch Schleifscheiben oder durch Laser-Abtragung eingebracht werden.
  • Die Anschlußstellen 4 können als breitflächige Kontaktierungen in an sich bekannter Weise ausgebildet sein. An einem Loch 5 kann das Bimetall in einem Gerät befestigt werden.
  • Ein solches indirekt beheiztes Bimetall kann man herstellen, indem mit einem Plasmabrenner auf einem Tragkörper eine 0,05 bis 0,2 mm dicke Schicht aus Alu03 als Isoliermaterial aufgespritzt wird. Mit dem Plasmabrenner kann dann eine dem gewünschten Widerstandswert entsprechend dünne Schicht aus Widerstandsmaterial bis zu einer Dicke von 0,2 mm aufgetragen werden. Die Dicke wird zweckmäßigerweise so gewählt, daß in Verbindung mit den Strom- durchgangsweg verlängernden Einschnitten eine ausreichende Biegbarkeit des Bimetalls erzielt wird, ohne daß Widerstandsmaterial abspringt. Die den Stromdurchgangsweg verlängernden Ausnehmungen können in an sich bekannter Weise, beispielsweise auch durch Atzvorgänge, eingebracht werden.

Claims (4)

  1. Patentansprüche 1. Indirekt beheiztes Bimetall aus Tragkörper und isoliert darauf angeordneter Heizwicklung, d a d u r c h g e -k e n n z e i c h n e t, daß auf dem Tragkörper (1) eine bewegungsnachgiebige Isolierschicht (2) aufgebracht ist und hierauf eine bewegungsnachgiebige Schicht (3) aus Widerstandsmaterial.
  2. 2. Bimetall nach Anspruch 1, d a d u r c h g e k e n nz e i c h n e t, daß die Schicht (3) aus Widerstandsmaterial den Stromdurchgangsweg zwischen den Anschlußstellen (4) für die Bimetallheizung verlängernde Ausnehmungen (6) aufweist.
  3. 3. Bimetall nach Anspruch 2, d a d u r c h g e k e n nz e i c h n e t, daß die Ausnehmungen (6) einen Mäanderpfad stehen lassen.
  4. 4. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines indirekt beheizten Bimetalls nach Anspruch 1 oder einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t, daß auf dem Tragkörper (1) mit einem Plasmabrenner eine 0,05 bis etwa 0,2 mm dicke Schicht aus Isoliermaterial aufgespritzt wird, hierauf eine bis zu etwa 0,2 mm dicke Schicht aus Widerstandsmaterial, in das durch an sich bekannte Maßnahmen Einschnitte bis auf die Isolierschicht derart eingebracht werden, daß sich zwischen den Anschlußstellen (4) für die Bimetallheizung eine Wegverlängerung ergibt.
