Description

Der naheliegende Gedanke, das Abwasser der Straße zur Bewässerung der Bäume zu verwerten, ist bereits in mehreren Verfahren nutzbar zu machen versucht worden. So in dem Verfahren der Patentschrift 293440, wobei das Abwasser den Bäumen unterirdisch durch ' besondere Wasserkammern zugeführt wird. ' Auch bei diesem Verfahren wird aber der Baum selbst in der allgemein üblichen Weise derart gepflanzt, daß der Wurzelhals etwa in gleicher Höhe mit der Oberfläche des Bürgersteiges zu liegen kommt. Bei dem hier vorliegenden Verfahren tritt eine wesentliche Änderung insofern ein, als der Baum-selbst bedeutend tiefer gesetzt wird, und zwar so tief, daß oberhalb der Baumscheibe genügend Raum vorhanden ist zur Aufnahme des Straßenabwassers, das vom Rinnstein her durch einen durch die Bordschwelle hindurchgeführten Kanal zufließt. Dieser Kanal erhält vom Rinnstein bis zur Baumscheibe ein Gefalle und ist an der Eingangsöffnung siebartig abgeschlossen, um das Verstopfen des Kanals durch Straßenschlick zu vermeiden und nur das an sich schon mit Pflanzennährstoffen versehene Abwasser dem Baume zuzuführen.
