Auch PKW-Systeme, die bei Einlegen des Rückwärtsganges den rechten Rückspiegel leicht nach unten neigen, können diesen Mangel beim Einparken in Vorwärtsrichtung, nicht beheben. Darüber hinaus sind noch sog. Parktroniksysteme zu erwähnen, die sich die Technik von Ultraschallsensoren zu nutze machen, um vor Objekten zu warnen, die zu nahe an Front oder Heck geraten. Diese Systeme beschränken sich aber auf eine Überwachung von Bug und Heck eines PKW, und können keine Objekte auf Bordsteinhöhe erkennen.In order to determine the distance between the vehicle and the curb, you have to rely on rear-view mirrors. Hierdurch wird das durch aufgeriebene Reifen entstehende Sicherheitsrisiko, das von Laien oft unterschätzt wird, da die dadurch am Reifen entstehenden Risse und Scheuerstellen harmlos erscheinen oder nur schwerlich erkannt werden, beträchtlich verringert. Auch teure Reifenerneuerungen, die nach einer Kollision eines Reifens mit dem Bordstein entstehen würden, entfallen. Ein weiterer Vorteil besteht darin, daß sich ein Einparken am Straßenrand oder auf einem Parkstreifen viel einfacher gestaltet.The invention means that the risk of a tire hitting the curb is greatly reduced.
