Base for sales display

The innovation relates to a base made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard or similar materials with integrated support bars for placing on pallets, in particular rental pallets, so-called Chep pallets, for holding attachments filled with goods, such as trays, trays, chutes, whereby the base for shipping is formed as a folding element from interconnected wall parts.

The problem with such bases is that relatively heavy goods, such as chocolate or baking ingredients, which are contained in a top, must be carried by the base without collapsing. In addition to the stationary support, the external stress when the sock! touches the product at the point of sale must also be taken into account.

The well-known one-piece base constructions have load-bearing wall parts as well as support webs inside the base and solve the problems that arise by using appropriately stable materials or reinforced materials. The support webs run parallel and are stabilized by lashings connected to the outer walls, which also serve as a support surface for attachments.

These arrangements therefore have the disadvantage that the base is subject to price competition due to the additional material required for stabilization in the form of straps or due to the use of relatively expensive, stable materials, or if the stabilizing support bars and straps are omitted or thinner materials are used, the base collapses under greater loads, particularly in connection with contact, and the goods resting on it fall down. In addition, locking the straps in the side walls requires additional work steps during assembly.

The aim of the innovation is to improve the generic design of a base and to ensure a relatively high level of stability with a simple design of the structure while maintaining the standard dimensions required by the trade and optimising the use of materials.

The solution to this problem is achieved by at least two V-shaped support webs

which are at least partially connected to wall parts of the base and on the underside of the wall parts and support webs associated with the pallet, protruding pin-like holding elements are formed, which can be inserted into corresponding receptacles of the pallets.

This makes it possible for the load distribution of the attachment to take place over all four walls and also over the support webs, whereby the V-shaped support webs serve as a support surface and increase the support surface. This means that the thickness of the individual wall sections can be less than in previous designs. This improves the specific load-bearing capacity of all wall and support elements.

This design significantly reduces the use of materials by eliminating the lashings that serve as a support surface, and as a result, the work step for pivoting and locking this lashing via corresponding recesses in the lashings and side walls is no longer necessary.

To assemble the base from the flat shipping state, it is only necessary to pull the base apart along the grooved lines and insert protruding retaining elements on the underside of the side walls and support bars into the corresponding recesses in the rental pallet.

Further advantageous embodiments are characterized by the features of the subclaims.

The drawing shows a schematic example of the innovation. It shows:

The base S shown consists of a front wall 1, a rear wall 2 and two side walls 3 and 4 with groove lines 5. The connected wall parts 1, 2, 3, 4 are designed as a folding element for shipping and accommodate two V-shaped support webs 6 in the interior, which are formed on one side by a groove line 7 and are each connected to a wall part 1, 2. The front 1 and rear wall 2 have pin-like holding elements as projections 8, 9, 10 on their undersides, like the side walls 3, 4 have projections 11 and the support webs 6 have projections 12 for insertion into corresponding openings 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 in the associated pallet P, onto which the base S is placed. The holding elements 8 to 12 are formed from the material of the wall parts 1 to 4 and the support webs 6 .

To assemble and stabilize the base, the base S is pulled apart along the groove lines 5 of the side walls 3, 4 and fixed by inserting the holding elements 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 into the openings 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 of the pallet P.
