Die Erfindung bezeiht sich auf eine Mttelzug-JPelgenbremse
für ein Fahrrad und betrifft insbesondere eine Mittelzug-Felgenbremse
mit einem am Eahmen des Fahrrads feststehend angebrachten Bügel, einem Paar schwenkbar an den Enden des
Bügels angelenkter, jeweils einen Bremsschuh tragender Bremshebel und einem Zugdraht zum Verschwenken der Bremshebel.

Bekannte Bremsen der genannten. Art haben gewöhnlich, einen,
die hinteren. Enden der Bremshebel miteinander verbindenden Zugdraht, an dessen mittlerem Teil eine U-förmige Klemme
angreift, welche über eine Stellschraube mit einer Mutter mit einem Zugseil verbunden ist, so daß bei Betätigung des
Zugseils ein Zug zum Verschwenken der Bremshebel auf den Zugdraht ausgeübt wird. Durch den über den Zugdraht ausgeübten
Zug werden die Bremshebel· so verschwenkt, daß sich die Bremsschuhe einwärts in Anlage an die Radfelge bewegen
und diese abbremsen.
Bei einer solchen bekannten Mittelzug-Felgenbremse müssen
die beiden Enden des Zugdrahts an den hinteren Enden der Bremshebel und das Zugseil muß unter Verwendung der Stellschraube
und der Mutter am Zugdraht befestigt werden. Die Verbindung vom Zugseil zu den Bremshebeln ist also ziemlich
aufwendig und dementsprechend teuer.
Das Einstellen des Abstands zwischen den Bremsschuhen geschieht bei der bekannten Mittelsug-Felgenbremse durch
Verstellen eines abgestützten Endes einer das Zugseil umgebenden Umhüllung und ist dementsprechend umständlich und
zeitraubend. Zum Auseinanderschwenken der Bremsschuhe auf ihren größten Abstand, etwa zum Wechseln des gebremsten
Rades, muß darüber hinaus eine Einrichtung zum schnellen Freigeben des abgestützten Endes der Umhüllung vorhanden
sein, wodurch die Bremse wiederum komplizierter und ihre Herstellung teuerer wird.

Angesichts der genannten Mangel bekannter Mittelzug-Felgenbremsen
schafft die Erfindung eine Bremse der genannten Art, welche keinen mit dem Zugseil zu verbindenden Zugdraht
aufweist und dementsprechend einfach und wohlfeil herstellbar und mühelos montierbar ist. Bei der erfindungsgemaßen
Bremse ist der Abstand zwischen den einander gegenüberstehenden Bremsschuhen mühelos einstellbar, und eine dafür
vorgesehene Einrichtung ermöglicht ein schnelles Auseinanderschwenken
der Bremsschuhe auf ihren größten Abstand zum Auswechseln des gebremsten Rades.
Die Erfindung ist zunächst dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Ende des Zugseils direkte am hinteren Ende des einen Bremshebels
befestigt ist und daß am hinteren Ende des anderen Bremshebels ein Zugglied angelenkt ist, welches an einem
in der Zugrichtung verlaufenden Teil des Zugseils angreift. Zum Einstellen des Abstands zwischen den einander gegenüberliegenden
Bremsschuhen ist die Länge des Zugglieds zwischen seiner Anlenkung an dem betreffenden Bremshebel und seiner
Angriffsstelle am Zugseil verstellbar.
Eine sum Einstellen des Abstands zwischen den Bremsschuhen
vorgesehene Einrichtung ermöglicht außerdem eine größtmöglicherErweiterung
dieses Abstands,cso/idaB sich die Badfelge
zwischen den beiden Bremsschuhen hindurch hervorziehen läßt.
Im folgenden ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung
anhand der Zeichnung erläutert. Es zeigen:

Die Zeichnung zeigt eine Mittelzug-Felgenbremse für ein
Fahrrad mit einem Paar Bremshebel, an deren einem das eine Ende eines Zugseils befestigt ist und an deren anderem ein Zugglied angelenkt ist, welches mit einem Greifer an einem in der Zugrichtung verlaufenden Teil eines Zugseils angreift.

Die dargestellte Bremse hat einen Bügel 1, welcher mittels
einer Schraube 2 feststehend an einem (nicht gezeigten)
Fahrradrahmen befestigbar ist und Überkopf stehende U-Form aufweist. An den beiden Enden des Bügels 1 sind zwei
Bremshebel 3ι 4- in Gelenken 7 bzw. 8 schwenkbar angelenkt.

Die Bremshebel 3i 4- sind überkopfstehend L-förmig und
tragen nahe den Enden ihrer abwärts verlaufenden Schenkel
jeweils einen Bremsschuh 5 bzw. 6. Ihre waagerecht verlaufenden Schenkel überlappen einander entlang dem feststehenden Bügel 1 und haben an ihren leicht aufwärts gebogenen Enden jeweils einen kreisförmigen Haltesitz 31 bzw. 4-1.

Der Sitz 31 am hinteren Ende des einen Bremshebels 3 trägt
eine Halterung in Form einer Schraube 9 mit einer Mutter für die Befestigung des einen durch eine Bohrung 9a der

Schraube 9 gesteckten Endes eines Zugseils w. An dem Sitz
am hinteren Ende des anderen Bremshebels 4 ist ein' Zugglied
11 angebracht, welches wie nachstehend beschrieben an einem '
Teil des Zugseils w angreift.
Das Zugglied 11 ist·.an einem Ende mit einem Fußteil Hd.
in Anlage an der Oberfläche des Sitzes .41 und erstreckt sich mit dem anderen Ende in Richtung auf eine gemeinsame
senkrechte Mittellinie der waagerechten Schenkel der Brems- "
hebel. An diesem Ende hat das Zugglied einen TJ-forrnig
gesehweiften, hakenförmigen Greifer Ha1 mit welchem es
rückwärts des befestigten Endes des Zugseils w an diesem
angreift \ so daß die betreffende Stelle des Zugseils zu
der genannten Mittellinie hin gezogen wird. Das der Befestigung des Zugglieds 11 am Bremshebel 4 dienende Fußteil Hd
hat ein in Längsrichtung verlaufendes Langloch 11b und einen aufrecht stehenden hinteren Rand 11c. Ein das Langloch
11b durchsetzender Zapfen 12 für die schwenkbare Befestigung des Zugglieds 11 trägt außerdem eine mit einem
Griffteil 13a versehene Nockenscheibe 13 derart, daß sich der aufrecht stehende Rand 11c des Zugglieds 11 in Anlage
am Umfang derselben befindet. Durch Verdrehen der Nockenscheibe 13 läßt sich somit der Abstand zwischen dem Sitz
und dem Greifer 11a und damit auch der Abstand zwischen den einander gegenüber liegenden Bremsschuhen 5» 6 verstellen.
Anstelle der Nockenscheibe 13 kann für das Einstellen der
wirksamen Länge des Zugglieds 11 auch ein an dessen Fußteil in Längsrichtung hervorstehender. Gewinde stab mit einer

Einstellmütter vorgesehen· siein, welcher einen kreisbogenförmigen
Schlitz "in einer aufgestellten Wandung des Sitzes 4-1 durchsetzt, "so daß das Zugglied um den Zapfen 12 herum

Ferner kann,anstelle des hakenförmigen Greifers, weichet"
mit seiner gerundeten Innenfläche am Zugseil angreift, auch eine andere Art von Greifer oder Klammer vorgesehen
Wird bei der vorstehend beschriebenen Mttelzug-Felgenbremse
ein Zug auf das Zugseil w ausgeübt, so bewegt sich der
Greifer 11a unter Verschwenken des Zugglieds 11 aufwärts und das zwischen dem Greifer 11a und dem befestigten Ende

verlaufende Teil des Zugseils w wird nach oben gezogen, so daß die Bremshebel um ihre Gelenke herum verschwenkt werden,
um das Rad abzubremsen. Beim Anbringen der Bremse an einem Fahrrad oder beim Auftreten von Verschleiß an den Bremsschuhen
5» 6 läßt sich der Abstand zwischen den Bremsschuhen schnell und mühelos durch Verdrehen der Nockenscheibe 13
einstellen.
Zum Anbringen der Bremse an einem Fahrrad oder zum Auswechseln des gebremsten Rades nach dem Anbringen der Bremse
wird die Nockenscheibe 13 so verdreht, daß sich das Zugglied bis in seine Endstellung in Richtung auf die gemeinsame
Mittellinie der Bremshebel 3» 4- bewegen läßt, wodurch die
Bremsschuhe 5> 6 auf ihren größten gegenseitigen Abstand
eingestellt werden. Die Größe dieses Abstands ist abhängig

von den Abmessungen des Langlochs 11b. Dieses hat daher
eine solche Länge, daß der größtmögliche Abstand zwischen
den Bremsschuhen größer ist als die größte Breite des Rades. Die Nockenscheibe 13 wird bis in ihre Endstellung verdreht,
um den größtmöglichen Abstand einzustellen, so daß sich die Bremse ohne Behinderung am Fahrrad anbringen läßt
bzw. daß das gebremste Rad mühelos auswechselbar ist.
Tritt nach längerem Gebrauch ein Verschleiß der Bremsschuhe 5, 6 ein, so läßt sich der dadurch vergrößerte Abstand
zwischen ihnen durch Verdrehen der Nockenscheibe 13 ausgleichen. Dabei wird die Nockenscheibe jeweils um den
zum Ausgleich des Verschleißes notwendigen Winkel verdreht. In der gewählten Einstellung kann die Nockenscheibe aufgrund
ihrer Umfangsform festgehalten werden, vorzugsweise ist jedoch eine Feststelleinrichtung, etwa eine Klemmschraube
od. dergl. dafür vorgesehen. Ist anstelle der Nockenscheibe 13 der vorstehend erwähnte Gewindeschaft vorhanden, so ist
eine Feststelleinrichtung nicht notwendig.
Die Verwendung der Nockenscheibe 13 ermöglicht jedoch ein sehr schnelles Einstellen der Bremsschuhe auf ihren größten
Abstand und damit einen schnellen Radwechsel.
Die Erfindung ermöglicht also das Einstellen des Abstands
zwischen den einander gegenüberliegenden Bremsschuhen durch Veränderung der wirksamen Länge des Zugglieds zwischen
seiner Befestigung am hinteren Ende des einen Bremshebels und seiner Angriffssteile am Zugseil. Das Einstellen der

wirksamen. Länge des Zugglieds und damit des Abstand zwischen
den Bremsschuhen ist schnell und mühelos bewerkstelligbar. Darüber hinaus ermöglicht die Erfindung das Schnelle und
mühelose Einstellen der Bremsschuhe auf einen Abstand, welcher größer ist als die größte Breite des gebremsten Rades, so
daß sich die Bremse ungehindert an einem Fahrrad anbringen läßt bzw. das gebremste Rad schnell und mühelos auswechselbar
ist.
Die Erfindung ist nicht auf das vorstehend beschriebene Ausführungsbeispiel beschränkt, sondern erstreckt sich auf
verschiedene Änderungen und Abwandlungen desselben.

Claims (5)
1. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse für ein Fahrrad, dadurch g e k e η η ζ e i c h η e t, daß sie einen feststehend
am Fahrradrahmen angebrachten Bügel (1), ein Paar an den Enden des Bügels in Gelenken (7* 8) schwenkbar angelenkter
Bremshebel (.3* 4-) mit jeweils einem Bremsschuh (5, 6) an
jeweils einem Ende und ein Zugseil (w) zum Verschwenken der Bremshebel aufweist, daß der eine Bremshebel an
seinem hinteren Ende (31) eine Halterung (9, 10) für die Befestigung des einen Endes des Zugseils hat, daß
am hinteren Ende des anderen Bremshebels ein Zugglied (11)
angelenkt ist, welches an einem in Zugrichtung verlaufenden Teil des Zugseils angreift, daß das Zugglied an einem
Ende ein Fußteil (Hd) für seine Anbringung am hinteren Ende des anderen Bremshebels hat und sich mit dem anderen
Ende in Richtung auf eine gemeinsame Mittellinie der waagerechten Schenkel der Bremshebel erstreckt, und daß
das Zugglied am letzteren Ende einen Greifer (11a) hat,
mit welchem es an einem in der Zügrichtung verlaufenden Teil des mit seinem einen Ende an der Halterung befestigten
Zugseils angreift.
2. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse nach Anspruch 1, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß die Länge des Zugglieds
(11) zwischen seiner Anlenkung am hinteren Ende (4-1) des
anderen Bremshebels (4-) und der Stelle, an welcher es am
Zugseil (w) angreift, und dadurch der Abstand zwischen den beiden Bremsschuhen (5» G) verstellbar ist.

3. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse nach Anspruch. 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Zugglied (11) an seinem
Fußteil (11d) ein sich in seiner Längsrichtung erstreckendes Langloch (11b) hat, daß der andere Bremshebel (4-)
an seinem hinteren Ende (4-1) einen Zapfen (12) trägt, welcher in dem Langloch geführt ist, so daß das Zugglied
längsverschieblich und um den Zapfen herum schwenkbar mit dem Bremshebel verbunden ist, und daß der Zapfen ferner
eine nockenscheibe (13) trägt, welche zum Längsverschieben des Zugglieds und damit zum Verändern seiner Länge zwischen
der Anbringung am Bremshebel und dem am Zugseil angreifenden Teil verdrehbar ist.
4-. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse nach Anspruch 3» dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß das Langloch (11b) eine solche Länge hat, daß sich die Bremsschuhe (5, 6) durch
Verdrehen der Nockenscheibe (13) auf einen Abstand einstellen lassen, welcher größer ist als die Breite eines
am Fahrrad montierten Rades.
5. Mittelzug-Felgenbremse nach Anspruch 3 oder 4-, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Nockenscheibe
(13) mittels einer Feststelleinrichtung in der jeweils gewählten Stellung feststellbar ist.
