Das Natriumperborat NaPO9 + A aqu hat
seit einer Reihe von Jahren eine ausgedehnte medizinische Anwendung gefunden. Die letztere
ist jedoch für manche Zwecke stark durch die alkalische Reaktion des Salzes eingeschränkt,
so daß teilweise die weniger alkalischen Perborate des Calciums, Magnesiums und Zinks
in der Therapie Eingang gefunden haben.

Man stellt dieses Calcium-Aluminium-Borat dadurch her, daß man Aluminiumchlorid und Borsäure in Wasserstoffsuperoxydlösung löst und das Doppelborat mit Ätzkalk ausfällt. Je nachdem das Salz mehr oder weniger Tonerde oder Borsäure enthalten soll, können die Zusätze von Aluminiumchlorid und Borsäure geändert werden. Zur technischen Darstellung des Salzes verfährt man in folgender Weise:For the technical representation of the salt one proceeds in the following way:
In 100 kg Wasserstoffsuperoxyd von 10 Prozent werden 55 kg AI Cl3 4- 6 aqu und 13 kg H3 BO3 gelöst und die abgekühlte Lösung mit einer aus 25 kg Ätzkalk bereiteten Kalkmilch versetzt. 55 kg of Al Cl 3 4-6 aqu and 13 kg of H 3 BO 3 are dissolved in 100 kg of hydrogen peroxide of 10 percent and a milk of lime prepared from 25 kg of quick lime is added to the cooled solution.
