Die Fadenführer- und Mitnehmereinrichtung, welche einen Theil des Inhaltes vom Patent No. 17458 bildet und nur zur Herstellung je einer Strumpflänge ausreicht, ist in folgender Weise dahin erweitert worden, dafs sie an Stühlen von zwei oder drei Längen Breite Anwendung finden kann.The thread guide and entrainment device, which is part of the content of the patent No. 17458 forms and only for manufacture ever one stocking length has been extended in the following way so that it is on Chairs two or three lengths wide can be used.

Für zwei Längen α und b, Fig. 5, welche z. B. mit dreifarbig verschiedenen Streifen (Ringeln) gearbeitet werden sollen, sind die zwölf Fadenführer 1 bis 12, Fig. 1 und 2, vorhanden, von denen die Fadenführer 7 bis 12 allein die beiden Längen und in Gemeinschaft mit 1 , bis 6 die vier Fersentheile a, a₂ ^₁ b₂ wirken. Je zwei zusammengehörige Führer 1 und 4, 7 und 10 etc. sind durch eine Schiene 13 oder 14 mit einander verbunden. Ist der Stuhl noch breiter (drei- oder vierlängig), so verbindet eine solche Schiene 13 drei oder vier gleichartige Führer mit einander, oder für mehrfarbige Muster enthält er mehrere Führer hinter einander. Die Aus- .und Einrückung der einzelnen Führerpaare erfolgt in der bei Ringelarbeit bekannten Weise (Patent No. 17458) durch die schwingenden Arme d₁ und e_u die Naben de und Mitnehmer w W₁ von den neuen Gleitkästen k i und k_l i_u welche ihre Bewegung durch die Stofsarme g ^₁ g₂ der mit einander verbundenen Röfschenkapsel c und C₁ erhalten. c trägt das Röfschen für den Längen α und C₁ dasjenige für b. Die Führer 1 bis 3 für die Ferse stehen links von α und diejenigen 4 bis 6 in der Mitte zwischen α und h in Ruhe, so lange die Längen gearbeitet werden. Während dieser Zeit ist auch der Stofsarm g₁ durch Haken g_s ausgerückt und g schiebt an i_lt Fig. i, den Schlitten I₁ Ze₁ nach links, und dieser nimmt mittelst W₁ e e_x irgend ein Paar der Führer 12 bis 7 nach links hin mit fort; ebenso schiebt g% den Schlitten It₁ Z₁ nach rechts hin und bewegt irgend ein zusammengehöriges Paar derselben Führer nach rechts. Dabei stöfst A₁ rechts an das bekannte Bufferstück /, und I₁ links zunächst an den als Buffer und Ausrücker wirkenden Schieber k q, welcher endlich an das Stück / sich anstemmt. Der Schieber k q hat deshalb die Erhöhung q zum Auslegen des Stofsarmes g, und die linke Seite dieser als Mitnehmernase wirkenden Erhöhung q ist durch die drehbare keilförmige Platte r verdeckt (s. auch r₁ in Fig. 3). Sollen die Fersen gearbeitet werden, so wird die Decke r von k q, wie in Fig. 3, emporgewendet und der Schieber wirkt dann mit I₁ K₁ gemeinschaftlich als Gleitkasten ; er ist durch / mit dem Gleitstück i, Fig. i, verbunden, welches ihn sicher führt und zugleich die Feder y enthält, welche während der Längenarbeit den Schieber I₁ M₁ bei y_x auffängt und am Ende des Schubes nach links festhält. Es wird ferner der Stofsarm gt frei herabgelassen zur gemeinsamen Thätigkeit mit g und £2, man senkt auch von der Traverse des Stuhles herab den Schieber O₁ mit dem zweiseitigen Ausrücker 0 auf die Schiene x₃ For two lengths α and b, Fig. 5, which z. Werden nun die Führer 1 bis 6 über die Nadelreihen geschoben, so bewegt jetzt beim Röfschenschube nach links hin der Stofsarm g allein zunächst durch Anstofsen an Z₁ das Gleitstück Z₁ k_x bis 0, Fig. 3, also die entsprechenden Führer von 7 bis 12 für die rechtsseitigen Fersenteile a_s b₂. Durch 0 wird der Arm g ausgelöst und verschiebt durch Anstofsen an k den Schieber k i bis / und mit ihm die Führer ι bis 6 für die linksseitigen Fersentheile. Beim Schübe nach rechts hin stöfst zunächst der Arm ^₁ an die Nase q und verschiebt k i bis 0; dann stöfst ^₂ an k und verschiebt k₁ I₁ bis I₁ . Damit die Führer beim Auslösen der Stofsarme g g_y g₃ genau an ihrer Stelle bleiben, sind die Federn ζ y u t 17 etc. an geeigneten Stellen angebracht, welche durch Einfallen über Rundstäbchen z, Fig. 1, oder 18, Fig. 4, oder über Schraubenköpfe ^₁ 4 etc. theils die Führerkästchen, theils die Gleitschieber sicher festhalten.and finally brings the buffer piece h, Fig. 2 and 4, which is held by the bolt A ₁ on the guide rails χ X ₁ , h and ο correspond to the pieces pq of the main patent no. 17458, but they must be completely removed from their rails during the length work. Um zwischen die Farbmuster der bunten Waaren zeitweilig Langreihen einzuschalten, ist es nöthig, in gewissen Zwischenräumen das Mühleisen und Röfschen zu senken, was bisher vom Arbeiter mit der Hand verrichtet worden ist; zur selbstthätigen Regulirung wird ein Zähl- und Regulirungsrad oder eine Regulirungskette verwendet, welche in gewöhnlicher Weise zur Einrückung des Minders und nach dem Patent No. 17458, Fig. 9 und 10, zur Regulirung der Prefsmuster benutzt wird. Kette oder Rad werden durch ein Klinkrad mit Klinke in bekannter Weise während jeder Reihe um ein Glied fortgedreht. Gelangt nun eine Lücke H unter G, so schwingt der Hebel E F nach links und senkt D mit dem Stirnbaum A und dem Mühleisen und Röfschen; es entsteht also eine Langreihe. Die Schrauben C kann man drehen, um beide Arme D gegen A gleichmäfsig zu verstellen.
