Demgegenüber bietet das neue Färbeverfahren für Strähngarn den Vorteil, daß ungleiches Ausfärben infolge nicht sorgfältiger Beschickung der Kasten oder der Färbebottiche mit Garn so gut wie nicht mehr vorkommen kann, weil die Garnstäbe mit ■ dem Garn sich gegeneinander nicht verschieben können. Auch werden die lose hängenden Garnsträhne durch den Druck der durchströmenden Flotte etwas aufgebauscht und bieten dadurch der Flottenströmung einen ganz gleichmäßigen Widerstand, so daß die Durchlässigkeit im Garn überall eine gleiche bleibt und sich auch während des längeren Färbens nicht verändert. Deshalb macht auch das Nuancieren auf Muster nach dem neuen Färbeverfahren, selbst bei Alizarinfarben, nicht die geringsten Schwierigkeiten. Das aufgehängte Garn wird auch durch den Druck der strömenden Flotte nicht mehr zusammengepreßt, weil die Flotte in der Richtung der Garnsträhne und nicht senkrecht dazu umläuft und das Garn im Block in Richtung der bewegten Flotte beweglich ist. Druckstellen im Garn können sich daher so gut wie nicht bilden, und ein Zusammenpressen und Dekatieren des Garnes während des Färbens so-' wohl auf Kosten seiner Qualität und Stärke als auch seines Aussehens wird vermieden. Ein Filzen der Garne beim Färben ist ebenfalls so gut wie ausgeschlossen, weil die Garngestelle oder Kasten mit den aufgehängten Garnsträhnen in der Flotte stillstehen und nicht bewegt werden; einfache, weiche und lose Kammgarne, welche besonders leicht filzen, zeigen deshalb auch nach langen Färbeprozessen keine Verfilzung. Der umkehrbare Flottenlauf aber verhindert, daß die Aufliegestellen der Garnsträhnen auf den Stäben ungefärbt bleiben. Letztere werden entweder auf Tragleisten oder in Schlitzen g und h des Gestelles nebeneinander gereiht, wobei diese Tragleisten verstellbar bzw. eine größere Anzahl Schlitze h übereinander angeordnet sind, damit die Stäbe, entsprechend der Länge der Garnsträhne, im Gestell höher go oder tiefer eingesetzt werden können. Die in der angegebenen Weise mit Garn angefüllten •Stäbe werden im Gestell dicht aneinander geschoben, so daß sie sich berühren, bis das ganze Gestell mit Garn beschickt ist. Wird vorteilhaft als Traggestell, wie in der Zeichnung dargestellt, ein oben und unten offener Kasten benutzt, so wird zwecks Einsetzens des Garnes eine Seitenwand dieses Kastens abnehmbar oder aufklappbar eingerichtet.
