Description "Self-adhesive small bottle holder"

This is a hanging device for small bottles and containers for private use, which are particularly common for shower gel, hair shampoo and soap.

Until now, such bottles have either had no hanging device at all or, at best, a bracket or something similar with which they can be hung on the washing taps, for example.

When showering, bathing, etc., the bottles without any kind of hanging device either have to be awkwardly placed on the floor or on special shelves. The latter are often missing or are much too small given the large number of bottles - especially in private bathrooms that are also used by women. In public bathrooms, there are usually either no suitable shelves at all, at least not directly next to the showers, or only traditional soap troughs in which the bottles have no space or at least no good hold.

The bottles with hanging loops are only useful where there are enough hooks etc. This is usually not the case, as such hooks look unsightly and can become a hazard if you slip in the bathroom. Hanging them on the water taps is often not possible or difficult because the taps are too wide, and it also makes it difficult to regulate the water flow.

The problem is therefore to find a hanging device for such small bottles that is not tied to the availability of appropriate shelves or hooks. It should be possible to easily attach the shower gel or shampoo bottle you have brought with you in any private bathroom, hotel bathroom or swimming pool, within easy reach while showering, and to take it away again just as easily and of course without damaging the bathroom after showering. The fastening technology should also be neither expensive nor take up too much space in the bathing bag.

The self-adhesive small bottle holder described below solves this problem. One of the two components of the holder is a simple suction cup, which is already used in many bathrooms as a holder for wall hooks. However, here it does not have a hook, but is attached directly to the plastic bottle using a groove on the back of the bottle. There are two variants for this groove as the second component of the holder:

• In variant 1, the groove is located at the top of the bottle, ideally on the lid, which is usually made of a slightly stronger material than the rest of the bottle. The groove has the shape of a funnel-shaped slot at the bottom, so that the bottle can be easily put on and taken off the suction cup without having to look closely (shampoo in the eye!). The slot is wider towards the body of the bottle and narrows on the opposite side due to the appropriate profile, so that the suction cup can find a light but secure hold in it. The standard thickening of the suction cup at the top (which is otherwise the support of the hook) prevents

This design prevents the bottle from falling off the suction cup. The only way to release the bottle from the suction cup is to push it upwards. Towards the top of the bottle, the groove narrows so much that the bottle can only be released from the suction cup by lifting it, not by turning it sideways. By turning the bottle slightly to the left or right, it can now be easily released from the wall together with the suction cup, while the suction cup remains stuck to the bottle. Conversely, when you start to shower, you can simply press the bottle you brought with you against a smooth surface (tile, etc.) with the suction cup and then pull it out upwards to easily remove the gel, etc. It can then be used as desired and immediately hung up on the suction cup again.

• Variant 2 differs from the previously described variant only in the point where the groove is attached to the bottle. It may be useful for bottles that have an opening that is secured against accidental leakage. In this case, the suction cup is attached to the bottom of the bottle so that the bottle hangs on the wall with the opening facing downwards. This would allow shampoo etc. to be removed without removing the bottle from the wall. The technical design of the hanging device remains unaffected.

The described shape of the groove and the hanging principle (for variant 1) can also be seen in the attached illustration. On the left you can see the suction cup, already hanging on the wall, on the right the plastic bottle with the groove. For standard shower gel bottles, a suction cup with a diameter of a few centimeters is completely sufficient to hold the bottle securely on the wall.

The main advantage of the plastic bottle holder described is that it allows you to temporarily attach shower gel bottles etc. to any smooth surface you want when showering, and then remove them again just as easily. Since there are plenty of smooth surfaces such as tiles etc. in practically every bathroom, including right next to the shower, this makes cleaning your body much easier. Coloring the suction cup the same color as the bottle would give the whole thing an extra "twist".

Another possible application is hanging detergent bottles and the like in kitchens.

1. Self-adhesive small bottle holder for temporarily attaching shower gel bottles, shampoo bottles, etc. to the wall in the immediate vicinity of the shower or bathtub, characterized in that a suction cup is attached to the upper back of the bottle, with which the bottle can be attached to smooth surfaces by simply pressing it on, the suction cup being inserted into a groove on the bottle which is open at the bottom and funnel-shaped in the lower part, so that the latter can be detached from the suction cup pressed against the wall and then reattached to it simply by lifting it. 2. Self-adhesive small bottle holder according to claim 1, characterized in that the suction cup is attached in the same way as described above, but on the lower back of the bottle, so that the bottle can be hung on it with the opening facing downwards.
