Abstract

The cabinet, assembled of two side panels, a double-walled rear panel, a top and a bottom, can be closed with a vertically movable shutter (24), guided along grooves, located at the inner surfaces of the side panels, and into a space between the two layers of the rear panel. The interior is divided into three main areas. A first aid kit can be stored in the upper area closed with a horizontally rotating flap, a second area can be used for prescription-free tablets and creams, and a third area is used for the storage of individually required medicine.

Da zum Aufklappen der Türen ein gewisser Raumbedarf besteht, können bekannte Hausapothekenschränke nicht in einem Küchenschrank, Badschrank o.dgl. untergebracht werden. Dies führt dazu, dass in vielen Haushalten kein Hausapothekenschrank vorhanden ist und die Arzneimittel beispielsweise in Schubladen aufbewahrt werden. Die Medikamente sind somit häufig unverschlossen und für Kinder zugänglich.
