Die Erfindung betrifft ein Paneel, das beispielsweise für Fußboden-, Wand- und/oder Deckenverkleidungen bestimmt ist, insbesondere ein Laminatpaneel, das wenigstens an den Längskanten des Paneelkörpers und/oder seinen Stirnkanten angeordnete Profile aufweist, die zum Verbinden benachbarter gleicher Paneele formschlüssig ineinandergreifend zusammenzusetzen sind. Die Erfindung ist aber auch für Paneele geeignet, die für andere Zwecke bestimmt sind. Paneele dieser Art sind in vielfältiger Ausführung bzw. Gestaltung bekannt. So ist es bekannt, benachbarte Paneele zum Verbinden derselben horizontal ineinanderzuschieben und dabei formschlüssig miteinander zu verriegeln. Auch ist es bekannt, Paneele zunächst winkelförmig aneinander zu stecken und sodann in eine gegenseitige Verriegelungsposition zu verschwenken. Um jedoch eine spaltfreie Verbindung benachbarter Paneele zu erreichen, verläßt man sich auf die Nachgiebigkeit oder Elastizität der Materialien der miteinander zu verbindenden Paneele. Für beispielsweise aus Holzwerkstoffen bestehende Paneele, insbesondere Laminatpaneele, welche verhältnismäßig harte und auch schwierig zu bearbeitende Oberflächen aufweisen, sind die vorbekannten Paneele mit Profilansätzen wenig geeignet.Panels of this type are known in a wide variety of designs. Das erfindungsgemäße Paneel läßt sich mit gleichen Paneelen formschlüssig miteinander verbinden, ohne daß die benachbarten Paneele und insbesondere deren Laminatoberflächen beschädigt werden können. Aus Fig. 1 ist erkennbar, wie zwei gleiche Paneele (1 und 2) mittels an ihren Kanten vorgesehenen Profilierungen miteinander zu verbinden sind, wobei eine leimlose Verbindung möglich ist.
