The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner adapter with a flexible hose attached to it. Various vacuum cleaner adapters are known that are supplied by the manufacturer as accessories, e.g. upholstery nozzles with slot-like suction openings, brushless vacuum cleaner adapters for use on carpets and suction tube extensions, as well as manufacturer-independent suction tube extensions that are slipped onto the outside of the tailpipe.

With the known vacuum cleaner adapters, it is not possible to provide a device that can be attached to all makes and that, on the one hand, extends the suction hose and/or provides an adapter with a specially shaped suction opening, and, on the other hand, ensures that particles, liquids or moist substrates are picked up while protecting the end of the vacuum cleaner tube or suction hose from contamination. With known vacuum cleaner adapters, particularly when vacuuming up liquids or moist substrates between the slipped-on adapter and the end piece of the suction hose, contamination occurs on the outside of the end piece of the vacuum cleaner, as the substrate being sucked in comes into contact with the outside of the end piece of the suction hose. This contamination makes cleaning necessary during or after use.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a vacuum cleaner adapter suitable for all or almost all vacuum cleaner brands, which enables an extension of the suction hose and/or a specially shaped suction opening, but in which the end of the vacuum cleaner tube or the suction hose is protected from contamination.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in a vacuum cleaner adapter of the type mentioned at the outset in that a preferably conical-shaped connecting piece is provided, preferably consisting of a flexible material, wherein on the side of the connecting piece facing away from the end piece of the vacuum cleaner suction hose, a

This hose is connected to the connector in a pressure-tight manner or forms a unit with it. Said hose can be of any length, preferably more than 0.5 m. The hose can be provided with a variety of contours and/or end pieces shaped in a variety of ways.

In a preferred embodiment, the outside of the connector has a surface with a defined roughness in order to enable the vacuum cleaner adapter to sit firmly in the vacuum cleaner tube through increased friction. The invention is described in more detail below using exemplary embodiments that are shown schematically in the drawing. Figure 1 shows an embodiment of the vacuum cleaner adapter (10) with a connector (1) in a conical shape and a hose (2) pressed into it. The connector (1) is pushed into the end of the vacuum cleaner tube (R) so far that an elastic deformation of the connector (1) made of flexible material occurs, which ensures a secure hold in the vacuum cleaner tube (R).

contour that is screwed into the thread (3) of the connector (1). The connector (1), which is made of flexible material, is pushed into the end of the vacuum cleaner tube (R) so far that an elastic deformation occurs, resulting in a firm hold in the suction tube end piece. 5

Figure 3 shows a further embodiment of the vacuum cleaner adapter (10) with a connector (1) in a conical shape and a hose (2) connected to it, whereby the connector (1) and the hose (2) form a unit. In an advantageous embodiment, the transition area from the flexible hose (2) to the connector (1) is provided with increased material thickness in order to prevent possible breakage due to excessive bending, twisting due to torsion or premature material fatigue.

Claims (6)

1. Vacuum cleaner adapter, characterized in that a) an elastic, preferably conical, connecting piece ( 1 ) is provided on the side of the vacuum cleaner adapter ( 10 ) facing the open end of the vacuum cleaner tube (R), and b) that a flexible hose ( 2 ) is attached to the side of said connecting piece ( 1 ) facing away from the open end of the vacuum cleaner tube (R), the connecting piece ( 1 ) and the flexible hose ( 2 ) having a pressure-tight connection. 2. Vacuum cleaner adapter according to claim 1, characterized in that the connecting piece ( 1 ) has a defined roughness on its outer surface to increase the adhesion forces when pressed into the vacuum cleaner tube (R). 3. Vacuum cleaner adapter according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the flexible hose ( 2 ) can be screwed into the connecting piece ( 1 ) via a thread ( 3 ). 4. Vacuum cleaner tube adapter according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the flexible hose ( 2 ) forms a unit with the connecting piece ( 1 ). 5. Vacuum cleaner adapter according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the flexible hose ( 2 ) is pressed into the connecting piece ( 1 ). 6. Vacuum cleaner adapter according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the flexible hose ( 2 ) is connected to the connecting piece ( 1 ) via a bayonet lock, wherein the end of the flexible hose ( 2 ) facing the connecting piece ( 1 ) has an increased material thickness.
