Half finger glove

The invention relates to a glove according to the preamble of claim 1 or according to the preamble of the independent claim 2.

Gloves with half-fingers or short fingers, i.e. fingers that are not closed at the top like long-finger gloves, which are used for leisure, sport, especially cycling, or fitness, for example, are difficult to take off, especially when hands are sweaty or clammy. Either the glove is turned completely inside out when taking it off, or it can only be pulled off the hand with effort and finger by finger. This disadvantage, especially of half-finger gloves, is taken into account by a removal aid integrated into the glove. There are half-finger gloves with improvised-looking tongues built into the inside of all half-fingers that protrude outwards and which you grab to pull them off. However, manipulating these tongues is laborious, especially with clammy or damp fingers or with wet tongues. Half-finger gloves are also known in which generously sized connecting cords are provided between the ends of at least some half-fingers, which you hook onto to take them off. However, these connecting bars pose the risk of getting caught on objects, e.g. the brake handles when cycling. They can also be very bulky between the fingers. Finally, there are cycling gloves on the market which have loops made from an elastic band at both ends that run across several half fingers on the outside of the glove. As the fingers are usually bent or the knuckles point outwards when the glove is taken off, the pulling movement is ergonomically unfavorable and it is difficult to apply the force required to take it off to the loops because the loops fit relatively tightly against the half fingers filled out by the fingers and the fingers of the other hand used to take the glove off easily slide off them.

The invention is based on the object of creating a glove of the type mentioned above, which is characterized by a comfortable, functionally reliable and ergonomically favorable removal aid.

The object is achieved according to the invention either with the features of claim 1 or the features of the independent claim 2.

The friction-active edge of the loop makes it easy to take off the glove because the finger or fingers of the other hand used to take it off no longer slip but instead grip effectively on and into the loop. This positive effect is achieved regardless of whether the at least one loop is on the back of the hand or on the palm side of the glove. Since the friction-active edge is clearly noticeable and offers a special grip, the glove can be easily taken off without looking and even in the dark.

Alternatively, the glove can be removed ergonomically if at least one loop is arranged specifically on the inner side of the glove, i.e. on the palm side. The finger or fingers of the hand used for removing the glove easily penetrate the respective loop and pull the half fingers off along the inner curvature of the fingers of the hand being removed, even when the fingers are bent. Especially with bent fingers, the loop for removing the glove is relatively relaxed and the half fingers are pulled more easily over the indentations at the finger joints on the inside of the fingers than when pulled on the outside over the knuckles that protrude when the fingers are bent, because when the fingers are bent the material of the glove contracts under the finger joints.

The at least one loop is expediently arranged on the inside in the area of the roots of the half fingers and where the fingers of the at least partially closed hand form natural escape cavities. Thanks to this arrangement, the at least one loop does not cause interference when grasping an object, for example the bicycle handlebar grip, because it is secured in natural escape cavities of the hand.

Basically, the respective loop should not protrude beyond a free half-finger end. Rather, the loop should be located in an area that lies between the free half-finger ends and a horizontal line at about the height of the thumb.

It is particularly useful to arrange at least one loop on the inner side of the glove and to design the edge used for gripping to be friction-active, because this enables an ergonomically favorable pulling-out movement with a relatively moderate expenditure of force and pulling-out forces are effectively transmitted with a significantly reduced risk of slipping thanks to the friction-active edge.

The loop is usually a textile, plastic, leather or rubber band that is fixed at both ends. This means that the loop can either be strong and relatively loose, or even stretchy, so that the fingertip of the finger used to pull it off can apply the force effectively. A band is thin and therefore hardly noticeable; at the same time, the width of the band offers a large surface area for the force to be applied, even when the strap is pulled off many times, so that the loop does not wear out or tear.

The frictional activity of the edge is best achieved by a layer of rubber or an elastomer, preferably a silicone material. These materials are kind to the skin and provide the necessary grip even with sweaty or clammy hands. Furthermore, these materials are relatively soft, so that they do not represent any disturbing inhomogeneities in the glove, which is often made of very soft and flexible materials.

It is advantageous if the pad covers not only the edge that is initially gripped, but also part of the outer and/or inner surface of the loop. This ensures a large friction surface on the outside and/or inside for effective gripping of the fingertips, and the fingertips do not slip off. From a manufacturing point of view, it can be advantageous to cover the loop completely with the pad.

It is particularly useful to fold the band over with a folded edge. The band is reinforced in the area where the pulling forces are mainly introduced. This is also advantageous in terms of manufacturing technology and simply creates large friction areas on the outside and/or inside for the fingertips.

In principle, it is sufficient to make at least part of the edge friction-active so that the finger applying the glove can easily transfer its pulling force or open the loop and slip into it. Alternatively, several individual sections of the edge could be friction-active, or the entire edge, so that the pulling force is effectively transferred even when the removal aid is used without looking, in the dark, or when it is urgently necessary to remove the glove quickly.

Thanks to the frictional activity of the support material, an effective force attack is achieved even when the support is flat. However, as a precaution, knobs or other form-fitting structures could also be provided on the support.

A clearly different coloring compared to the surroundings facilitates the comfortable and intended use of the pull-out aid.

Several loops make the removal process easier. The loops can follow one another directly and, for example, be assigned only to the ring finger and the middle finger. The several loops could also be interrupted by a half finger, so that, for example, one loop is arranged on the half finger of the index finger and the other loop is arranged on the half finger of the ring finger or little finger. This does not rule out providing loops on all half fingers, possibly even on the half finger for the thumb.

Alternatively, a loop could be provided that extends over at least two half-fingers, or even over all four half-fingers.

A glove H (L) for the left hand, in particular a cycling or sports glove, with half fingers 1a (for the thumb) and 1b to 1e (for the remaining fingers) has an opening 2 with or without a fastener, here e.g. a Velcro fastener 3, and in the palm area, for example, a covering 4 that increases grip. Each half finger 1b to 1e can be made from individual cut pieces 6, 7 connected by seams 5, for example in order to have different materials, seam lines or fabrics (layers) on the inside and outside of the fingers and in the spaces between the fingers that are adapted to the respective requirements and that contribute to good wearing comfort. Each half finger 1b to 1e has a root 8 indicated by dashed lines and a free end 11.

The glove H is equipped with a removal aid A, which in Fig. 1 consists of, for example, two loops S1, S2, which are fixed at the ends, e.g. with the seams 5, e.g. sewn, and extend transversely to the area between a border line 12 at thumb height and the free ends of the half fingers 1b to 1e. In the embodiment shown, the loops S1, S2 are located near the roots

The edge 9 of each loop S1, S2 facing away from the free ends 11 and towards the palm of the hand is designed to be frictionally active, e.g. by a friction lining R applied there at points or in a line or even over a surface.

In the section of the half-finger 1d in Fig. 4, the inner textile layer 7 of the half-finger 1d can be lined with a lining 10 that can extend into the palm of the hand. The loop S2 is formed, for example, by a textile, leather, plastic or rubber band 13 with a low thickness and a considerably larger width than the thickness, the ends of which are sewn, for example, in the seams 5. The friction lining R is a covering 14 made of a friction-active material such as rubber or an elastomer, in particular a silicone material, which on the one hand is skin-friendly, but on the other hand is friction-active for human skin, even when the skin is sweaty or clammy. A width area 13a of the band 13 is folded inwards and glued or sewn at 16, so that the edge 9 is formed as a folded edge in a double-layered area of the band 13. Starting from the folded edge 9, the overlay extends outside over part of the width of the loop S2, and also inside over part of the width of the loop S2. The overlay 14 can have a flat surface, but could also be nubbed or structured in another way (indicated by dashed lines at 15). The overlay 14 could also cover the band completely.

The glove H in Fig. 2 is also intended for the left hand. Here, the removal aid A is provided on the back of the hand, in the form of, for example, two loops S1, S2 on the half fingers 1c, 1d for the middle finger and the ring finger. The edge 9 of each loop S1, S2 is provided with a friction lining R. The loops S1, S2 are located in the area between the border line 12 and the free ends 11 of the half fingers. They can be made of band-like material that is flexible and tensile or stretchable.

As an alternative, a single loop S is shown in dashed lines in Fig. 2, which runs over half fingers 1c, 1d on the back of the hand of the glove H, which is fixed at both ends, e.g. sewn, and extends over the space between the half fingers 1c and 1d. The edge 9 of this loop is frictionally active due to a friction coating R. The continuous loop S could also extend over three half fingers or even over all four half fingers 1b to 1e. It would also be conceivable to have a continuous loop over the two outer half fingers.

fingers and another continuous loop running across the two inner half fingers, or a continuous loop running across the two outer half fingers or the two inner half fingers.

The number and arrangement of the loops, as mentioned above, can be freely varied, regardless of whether the loops are arranged on the back of the hand or on the palm side of the glove. Loops could even be provided on both sides. With external loops, the friction lining R is important in order to be able to take the glove off easily.

In Fig. 3, a glove H for the left hand L is indicated, in which a continuous loop S runs across the two middle half fingers 1c, 1d.

In the embodiments in Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 with at least one loop S1, S2, S or S' arranged on the palm side of the glove H, the respective edge 9 does not necessarily have to be provided with a friction lining R, because the internal arrangement of the loop(s) already enables ergonomically favorable removal of the glove.

The loop S in Fig. 3 has the friction lining R, for example, only on a longitudinal section or even only on one or more points of the edge 9. This is sufficient to be able to transfer the pulling force effectively when pulling out and to bring the fingertips under the loop S without slipping. In Fig. 3, a dashed line indicates a loop S ¹ that extends over more than two half-fingers and can be designed with or without a friction lining R on the edge 9.

The respective loop S1, S2, S, S' does not necessarily have to be formed by a band 13 if the friction lining is provided, but a cord-like or string-like substrate could be processed into the loop, or a plastic film that is either automatically friction-active or has the friction lining R on the edge 9. A loop made of leather with a friction lining on the edge is also conceivable.

To remove the glove H according to Fig. 5, with more or less bent fingers (in Fig. 5 the middle finger 16 is shown in the half finger 1c), a finger 19 of the other hand is used in the pulling direction 20 to grab the loop S1 or S on the edge 9 and the edge is forced up until the fingertip grips under the loop. If the friction lining R is provided, then a particularly effective force application is provided, with the friction lining R or the lining 14 also being contacted by the fingertip on the inside of the loop. By applying appropriate pulling force, the half fingers, for example the half finger 1c, are pulled off over the finger joints 18, 17, with the part of the glove covering the palm and the back of the hand following. If necessary, one or the other half finger is turned inside out when removing. These short inversions can be eliminated by shaking the glove after it has been removed or by putting the glove back on.

In Fig. 6 it is indicated how the middle finger 16 with a region 22 of the palm of the hand grasps an object G, for example the handlebar grip of a bicycle. The hand M wraps itself around the object G with the middle finger 16 and the inner phalanx curves, whereby the natural hollow spaces and, in particular, the hollow space 23 between the innermost finger joint 18 and the palm area 22 are not pressed. The loop S ₁ S1 is conveniently located in this area so that it does not add to the nuisance, but is "tucked away", so to speak. The other finger joints 17, 21 rest against the object G. An external loop S1, S with the friction lining R is indicated in dashed lines in Fig. 6. The loop could also be positioned closer to the boundary line 12 than shown.

The friction lining R is suitably coloured in a colour that clearly stands out from the surroundings, e.g. signal colours, so that the user can see immediately, or even if the glove is dirty, where to grab it to remove it.

In the embodiments shown, the loops are relatively close to the roots of the half fingers. They could be arranged further in the middle of the half fingers or closer to the free ends 11 or to the border line 12 than shown, but should not protrude beyond the free ends. The loops are open at the top and bottom. Alternatively, the loops could be sewn onto the edges that point towards the free ends of the half fingers, so that one-sided open pockets are formed.

Claims (14)

1. Glove (H) with half fingers ( 1 a to 1 e), in particular a bicycle glove, with a removal aid (A) in the form of at least one loop (S, S', S1, S2) which is attached to one side of the glove transversely to the half fingers, characterized in that at least the edge ( 9 ) of the loop (S, S', S1, S2) facing away from the ends ( 11 ) of the half fingers ( 1 b to 1 e) is designed to be frictionally active for the human skin. 2. Glove (H) with half fingers ( 1 a to 1 e), in particular a bicycle glove, with a removal aid (A) in the form of at least one loop (S, S', S1, S2) which is attached to one side of the glove transversely to the half fingers, characterized in that the at least one loop (S1, S2, S, S') is arranged on the inner side of the glove. 3. Glove according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the respective loop (S, S', S1, S2) is provided within a region of the glove (H) which ends at the top with the free ends ( 11 ) of the half fingers ( 1a - 1d ) and at the bottom approximately with an imaginary boundary ( 12 ) which extends in the transverse direction at the level of the upper contour of the spread thumb half finger (a). 4. Glove according to claim 2, characterized in that the at least one loop (S, S', S1, S2) is arranged in the region of the roots ( 8 ) of the half fingers ( 1b to 1e ) and where the fingers ( 16 ) of the hand (M) at least partially closed in the glove (H) form natural escape cavities 23 . 5. Glove according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the at least one loop (S, S', S1, S2) is arranged on the inner side of the glove, and that at least the edge ( 9 ) of the loop facing away from the ends ( 11 ) of the half fingers ( 1b to 1e ) is designed to be frictionally active for the human skin. 6. Glove according to at least one of claims 1, 2 or 4, characterized in that the loop (S, S', S1, S2) is a textile, leather, plastic or rubber band ( 13 ) fixed at both ends. 7. Glove according to claims 1 and 4, characterized in that the edge ( 9 ) has a materially fixed support ( 14 ) made of friction-active rubber or an elastomer, in particular silicone rubber. 8. Glove according to claim 7, characterized in that the support ( 14 ), starting from the edge ( 9 ), covers at least part of the exposed outer surface and/or the inner surface of the loop facing the glove or the loop entirely. 9. Glove according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the overlay ( 14 ) covers at least a part of the total width of the band ( 13 ) forming the loop, which lies on one band side, and in that the band ( 13 ) is folded inwards or outwards to form a turn-up edge ( 9 ) of the loop (S, S1, S2, S') provided with the overlay (14) in such a way that the overlay ( 14 ) extends on the exposed and the inner side of the loop from the turn-up edge ( 9 ) to at least over part of the loop width. 10. Glove according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support ( 14 ) between the end fastenings of the loop extends only along at least one section or continuously over the entire length of the edge or folded edge ( 9 ). 11. Glove according to claim 7, characterized in that the overlay ( 14 ) is smooth or nubbed ( 15 ). 12. Glove according to claim 7, characterized in that the overlay ( 14 ) has a coloring different from the color of the loop and/or the glove, preferably a signal color. 13. Glove according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that several loops (S1, S2) follow one another or are interrupted by at least one half-finger ( 1b to 1e ). 14. Glove according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a loop (S, S') is provided which extends over at least two adjacent half fingers ( 1 b to 1 e), preferably a loop which extends over the half fingers ( 1 c, 1 d) for the ring and middle fingers ( 6 ).
