Die Erfindung besteht in einem leichten, transportablen Apparat, den man für persönlichen Gebrauch mit sich führen und der, wenn er nicht gebraucht wird, in ein compactes Packet zusammengelegt werden kann. Derselbe ist mit einer Kopflehne, die für gewöhnlich verstellbar ist und gegen welche die Stirn angelehnt wird, wenn sich der Sitzende in eine ihm bequeme Stellung nach vorn überbeugt, versehen,, und unter der Kopf lehne befindet sich eine Armstütze, die so angebracht und adjustirt sein kann, dafs das Gewicht des oberen Theiles des Körpers im wesentlichen von den Armen getragen und die Stirn so von unbequemem Drucke gegen ihre Lehne entlastet wird. Auf das obere Ende des oberen Rohrstückes C ist ein sich wirbeiförmig drehender Aufsatz /' aufgesetzt, der mit nach unten reichenden federnden Sperrhaken i^l versehen ist, die unter einen um das Rohr C laufenden ringförmigen Ansatz k greifen. Am oberen Theil des Aufsatzes befindet sich ein flacher Ansatz /, der zwischen zwei Ansätzen m, die aus der unteren Seite einer Metallplatte N hervorstehen, mit Zapfen drehbar befestigt ist. Die einander gegenüberliegenden Ränder η der Platte N sind abgeschrägt und passen in zwei entsprechend ausgeschnittene Platten ο ο, die an der unteren Seite der Lehne O befestigt sind. Ein aus der Kopflehne hervorstehender Stift / begrenzt die Bewegung der Kopflehne auf der Platte N und verhindert das Abgleiten derselben von der letzteren, wenn sie beim Gebrauche sich, wie dargestellt, in einer geneigten Lage befindet. Anstatt des Stiftes p kann die Platte N an ihren unteren Enden seitliche Ansätze haben, welche als Hemmungen für die Platten an der Kopflehne dienen.
