Die durch eine Feuerungsanlage entwickelte Wärme läßt sich zum Betriebe von Dampfmaschinen besser ausnutzen, wenn zwei Flüssigkeiten verdampft werden, von denen die eine bei einer höheren Temperatur siedet als die andere und mindestens die eine auch bei einer höheren Temperatur siedet als Wasser. Als Beispiel ist hier Anilin und Wasser gewählt, da sich die Verhältnisse hierbei besonders günstig gestalten, jedoch könnten auch andere Flüssigkeiten in der nachstehend beschriebenen Vorrichtung verdampft und überhitzt werden. Gleichzeitig wird hierbei das im Kessel b befindliche Wasser zur Verdampfung gebracht. Der Dampf durchströmt auf seinem Wege zu der Kraftmaschine k die Rohrleitung g im Kanäle h und wird hier durch die direkten Feuergase überhitzt. Der Abdampf der Wasserdampfmaschine k gelangt in den Kondensator e und wird nach der Verflüssigung durch die Pumpe η in den Kessel b zurückgepumpt.
