Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Leckdichtungsvorrichtung, mittels welcher ein durch Havarie oder dergl. entstandenes Leck an beliebiger Stelle vom Deck aus gedichtet werden kann. Zu diesem Zwecke wird in bekannter Weise ein mit Gewichten beschwertes starkes Dichtungstuch vor das Leck mittels vom Deck aus geführter Seile gebracht. Im geeigneten Augenblick wird das Dichtungstuch vom Wasserstrom in das Leck zum Teil hineingedrückt und legt sich fest gegen dessen Ränder, so daß ein weiteres heftiges Eindringen von Wasser verhindert wird. Die endgültige Abdichtung erfolgt nun nach vorliegender Erfindung durch eine Platte, deren Mitte einen senkrecht abstehenden, mit Gewinde versehenen Bolzen trägt, welcher mittels eines das Dichtungstuch durchdringenden Seiles in das Innere des Schiffes gezogen wird. Diese Platte kann dann durch eine im Schiffsinnern auszuführende Verschraubung oder dergl. fest gegen die äußere Schiffswandung gepreßt werden, wobei das gefütterte Dichtungstuch die seitliche Abdichtung bewirkt.The present invention is a leak sealing device by means of which a Leak caused by an accident or the like sealed at any point on the deck can be. Die Vorrichtung zur Aufbringung der Dichtungsplatte auf das Leck besteht im Wesentlichen aus einem Dichtungstuch a, welches zweckmäßig aus mehreren Lagen starken, wasserdichten Stoffes mit zwischenliegender Fütterung hergestellt ist. Dieses Tuch hat in der Mitte eine runde Öffnung, welche das offene Ende des trichterförmigen Beutels b aus Leder oder dergl. aufnimmt. In diesen Beutel ragt das eine feste Ende des Seiles c, welches mit dem zusammengeschnürten Ende des Beutels verknotet ist. Die Ränder des Dichtungstuches λ sind an einem Tau d festgenäht, während an den vier Ecken des Tuches sich vier Kauschen e, e¹, e², e³ befinden. Die beiden oberen Kauschen e, e¹ verbinden das Tuch α mit den beiden an Bord geführten Tauen _/, g, die beiden unteren e², e^s mit den beiden Seilen h, i, welche mittels des Senkgewichtes k vom Vorderteil des Schiffes aus um dessen Rumpf gelegt sind. Ist das Leck auf diese Weise gegen ferneres heftiges Eindringen von Wasser geschützt, so wird das freie Ende des Seiles c mit dem Ring ρ der Stange η der Dichtungsplatte m fest verknotet (Fig. 4) und letztere mittels Seilen in solcher Lage gegen das Tuch versenkt, daß die Stange η nach außen gerichtet ist, bis die Platte unmittelbar über dem Tuch α angelangt ist. Nunmehr wird das Seil c vom Innern des Schiffes aus angezogen, so daß die Platte in in der Pfeilrichtung (Fig. 4) umkippt und die Stange η durch den Beutel b hindurchgezogen werden kann. Die Platte m legt sich demnach mit ihren Dichtungsrändern r auf das Tuch α und kann dadurch fest an die Schiffswandung angepreßt werden, daß man im Schiffsinnern eine in der Mitte durchbohrte Platte über den Bolzen legt und beide Platten nun durch Anziehen einer aufgesetzten Mutter gegeneinander preßt, wobei das starke gefütterte Segeltuch die seitliche Abdichtung bewirkt.ίο then guided in the longitudinal direction of the ship to the point where the leak is, and the sinking weight k is pulled back onto deck by means of the rope /.
