Das vorliegende Verfahren erstreckt sich auf die Darstellung bisher unbekannter, sehr werfhvoller, brauner, substantiver Farbstoffe. Das Verfahren besteht im Allgemeinen darin, dafs man auf die aus einer diazotirten Amidonaphtolsulfosäure und Resorcin in alkalischer Lösung dargestellten Monoazofarbstoffe das Zwischenproduct aus ρ - Diaminen und Salicylsäure einwirken läfst. Nur die in alkalischer Lösung dargestellten Monoazofarbstoffe geben nach diesem Verfahren werthvolle Farbstoffe; sie sind durch eine lebhafte braune Nuance mit gelber Uebersicht, grofse Farbintensität ausgezeichnet und dadurch wesentlich verschieden von den farbschwachen, mehr orangefärbenden Producten des Patentes 46328. Mit Rücksicht darauf, dafs Diazonaphtolsulfosäuren in Gegenwart von Alkali sehr leicht mit sich selbst kuppeln, mufs die Darstellung der Monoazofarbstoffe Amidonaphtolsulfosäure-azo-Resorcin vorsichtig vorgenommen werden, denn nur bei Verwendung einheitlicher Monoazofarbstoffe als Componenten erhält man das vorher erwähnte werthvolle Resultat. Von den Farbstoffen der Patentschrift 109610 unterscheiden sich die vorliegenden durch eine bedeutend vollere, tiefere Nuance, die durch gelben Ueberschein besonders werthvoll ist.The present procedure extends to the presentation of previously unknown, very impressive, brown, substantive dyes.
