Das obere Ende der Kandare ist zu einem Haken α c d von bekannter Form ausgebildet. Dieser Haken wird in die am Backenstück befestigte Tragöse b e eingehängt. An der Tragöse befindet sich gleichzeitig der Kinnkettenkaken f. Soll die Kandare abgenommen werden, so hat man nur nöthig, den Haken α c aus der Tragöse b auszuhaken. Die Kinnkette kann alsdann in der Tragöse ruhig verbleiben, ohne das Thier zu belästigen. Das zeitraubende Ordnen der Kinnkettenglieder, wie es bisher zum Einhaken nothwendig war, fällt also fort.The upper end of the curb is formed into a hook α cd of known shape.
