Es ist auch schon eine an einem Gestell angeordnete Vorrichtung bekannt, bei der der zu bindende Strauß in ein halbkreisförmiges Band einlegbar ist und mittels einer Schnur gebunden wird. Der Aufbau dieser Vorrichtung ist jedoch sehr aufwendig. Die Erfindung hat es sich zum Ziele gesetzt, das zeitraubende, bei dem heutigen Personalmangel nicht mehr vertretbare und außerdem die Pflanzenstengel durch Einschnürung bedrohende Binden durch Schaffung einer die bisherige reine Handarbeit beschleunigenden Vorrichtung zu verbessern. Sie bewirkt ein Mehrfaches der bisher erzielten Leistungen und eine wesentlich größere Schonung der einzubindenden Blumen oder Pflanzen. Mit der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung läßt sich ein besonders zeitsparendes halbautomatisches Binden von Sträußen oder Pflanzenbündeln durchführen, indem der Strauß oder das Bündel mit der zu umwickelnden Stelle über eine bereits ein Stück abgespulte Länge Klebeband gelegt wird, die quer über einer parallel zum Strauß liegenden herabdrückbaren Teilfläche einer Arbeitsfläche verläuft.
