Zur Darstellung des Farbstoffs verfährt man z. B. folgendermafsen:To represent the dye one proceeds, for. B. as follows:

Nach ca. 12 stündigem Stehen ist sie blau geworden, wird mit 120 kg Salzsäure versetzt und auf 60 bis 8o° erhitzt. Der Farbstoff scheidet sich als blauer Niederschlag ab, der abfiltrirt' und gewaschen wird. In Lösung bleibt in geringer Menge ein blauvioletter Farbstoff, der aufserordentlich leicht löslich und durch Kochsalz nicht fällbar ist.The red solution is fed and cold with 500 kg of an approx. 38 per cent. Die mit diesem Farbstoff erzielten Färbungen sind aufserordentlich beständig.The colorations achieved with this dye are extremely stable.
Ein aus αλ c.4-Dinitronaphtalin, Schwefelnatrium und Natriumbisulfit entstehender Farbstoff ist bereits durch das Patent 92471 der Badischen Anilin- und Sodafabrik bekannt. Bei der Darstellung soll indessen das Natriumbisulfit vor oder gleichzeitig mit dem Schwefelnatrium zur Einwirkung gelangen. Das Product ist denn auch von dem des vorliegenden Patentes gänzlich verschieden. Es ist ein Wollfarbstoff, der aufserordentlich leicht löslich ist in Wasser und aus der alkalischen Lösung durch Säuren nicht gefällt wird.One from α λ c. 4- Dinitronaphthalene, sodium sulphide and sodium bisulphite is already known from patent 92471 of the Badische Anilin- und Sodafabrik.
