Das Verlegen der Platteneinheiten erfolgt in der Weise, daß die Fugen dieser Einheiten gegeneinander versetzt sind, wie dies durch verstärkte Striche in Fig. 2 angedeutet ist. Die Fugen werden ebenfalls nachträglich vergossen. Die Randbefestigung der fertigen Straßendecke erfolgt in an sich bekannter Weise mittels Betonsockel 5.1 shows a gravel bed 1 on a thick packing layer 2. PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zum Herstellen schwerer Straßendecken unter Verwendung vorfabrizierter, aus einer Anzahl dicker, regelmäßig geformter Steinkörper gebildeter, mosaikartig zusammengesetzter Platteneinheiten, deren einzelne Steinkörper mittels einer Vergußmasse vor dem Verlegen fest miteinander verbunden und deren Stoßfugen nach dem Verlegen ebenfalls mit Vergußmasse ausgefüllt werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Vergußmasse eine stark klebende, elastisch nachgiebige Masse, z. B. hochelastisches Bitumen oder mit Füllstoff versehenes, abriebfestes, nicht aushärtendes Kunstharz, verwendet wird, durch welche nur die Seitenflächen der Steinkörper und die Platteneinheiten untereinander schubfest verklebt werden.
