Abstract
<p>La presente invención se refiere a un método para controlar la vegetación no deseada en un sitio de cultivo vegetal, en donde el método comprende las etapas de proporcionar, en dicho sitio, una planta que comprende al menos un ácido nucleico que comprende una secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica protoporfirinógeno oxidasa (PPO), que es resistente o tolerante a un herbicida inhibidor de PPO, aplicando a dicho sitio una cantidad eficaz de dicho herbicida. La invención también se refiere a plantas que comprenden enzimas de PPO mutada o de tipo silvestre, y a métodos para obtener dichas plantas.</p> <p> </p>
