When the washing machine drains water, both the drain valve 81 and the main drain valve 83 are opened, and the washing water in the drum 3 flows into the outer tub 2 from the drain valve 81 and is drained through the drain pipe 82. Compared with the prior art that the water flow is discharged by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the drum 3, the washing machine has the advantages that the drum 3 does not need to rotate during water discharging, and the energy consumption of the washing machine can be reduced.

The drain opening 32 of the drum 5 can be closed by pressing the primary drain valve 81, and the drain opening 32 can be opened by pressing the primary drain valve 81 again, so that the washing water in the drum 5 can be discharged, and the reliability is high.
In some embodiments of the washing machine of the present disclosure, with continued reference to fig. 3, the opening or closing of the drain valve 81 may be controlled by the switching motor 10, and the switching motor 10 is fixedly connected to the tub 2.
