Abstract

本实用新型公开一种电连接装置及其导电端子,电连接装置包括基板及若干安装于基板上的导电端子,每一导电端子包括下端子及与下端子配对的上端子,其中下端子设有容纳空间,上端子浮动地容纳于该容纳空间内;其中,上端子受力后向下移动且使下端子发生弹性变形,进而与下端子紧密接触;当外力撤去后,上端子于下端子的弹性作用下向上移动进而回到原来位置。

电连接装置及其导电端子
【技术领域】
本实用新型涉及一种电连接装置及其导电端子,尤其涉及一种可电性连接芯片模块的电连接装置及其导电端子。
【背景技术】
导电端子为两件式的电连接器被广泛用于电性连接两个电子元件。两件式导电端子一般包括一上端子及一下端子。通常情况下,下端子固定于电连接器的端子收容槽中,而上端子相对于下端子可以上下移动。当电连接器与对接电子元件配合时,上端子受到电子元件压力而向下移动。由此,使电子元件与电连接器达成接触的压力相对较小。具有两件式导电端子的电连接器可参考美国专利公告5221209号。
然而,具有两件式导电端子的电连接器中,上端子也是收容于电连接器的绝缘本体的端子槽中且被绝缘本体限定其移动。另外,个别时候,绝缘本体也被设计成两件式,包括固定下端子的下本体及收容上端子并限制上端子移动范围的上本体,显然,这样的设计结构比较复杂。另外,美国专利公告7025602号揭露了一种用于电连接器的两件式导电端子。该导电端子包括上接触端子、下接触端子及配置在上下接触端子之间的弹簧。该导电端子利用弹簧作为弹性元件使上接触端子能够在作用于其上的外力撤去后回到其初始位置。显然,该导电端子结构复杂。
因此,有必要提供一种改进的电连接装置及其导电端子,以克服现有技术的缺陷。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型所要解决的技术问题是提供一种结构简单的电连接装置及其导电端子。
为解决上述技术问题,本实用新型提供一种电连接装置,包括基板及若干安装于基板上的导电端子,每一导电端子包括下端子及与下端子配对的上端子,其中下端子设有容纳空间,上端子浮动地容纳于该容纳空间内;其中,上端子受力后向下移动且使下端子发生弹性变形,进而与下端子紧密接触;当外力撤去后,上端子于下端子的弹性作用下向上移动进而回到原来位置。
进一步地,所述上端子呈椭圆形。
进一步地,所述下端子包括基部及自基部相对两侧向上延伸的两臂部,所述容纳空间形成于两臂部之间。
进一步地,所述臂部包括远离另一臂部延伸的第一部份及自第一部份末端朝向另一臂部延伸的第二部份。
进一步地,所述臂部的第二部份于两侧分别设有一弯曲部。
进一步地,所述第一部份和第二部份之间形成一凸点,上端子的下端位于凸点下方。
进一步地,所述两臂部的自由端在水平方向上的最小间距小于上端子在水平上的最大宽度。
进一步地,所述基板上设有限位装置。
为解决上述技术问题,本实用新型同时提供一种电连接装置的导电端子,其包括下端子及与下端子配对的上端子,其中下端子设有容纳空间,上端子浮动地容纳于该容纳空间内;其中,上端子受力后向下移动且使下端子发生弹性变形,进而与下端子紧密接触;当外力撤去后,上端子于下端子的弹性作用下向上移动进而回到原来位置。
进一步地,所述下端子包括基部及自基部相对两侧向上延伸的两臂部,所述容纳空间形成于两臂部之间。
与相关技术相比,本实用新型的电连接装置及导电端子具有以下优点:仅利用下端子限定上端子的位置,不需要设置绝缘本体或类似元件来限定上端子,故结构简单。

图3是本实用新型的第一种实施例的电连接装置的剖面示意图,其中对接芯片模块未与导电端子接触。

【具体实施方式】
请参考图1至图4,本实用新型的第一实施例的电连接装置1,可连接一芯片模块2,其包括一基板10(如印刷电路板)及若干安装在基板10上的导电端子12。
导电端子12包括下端子120及上端子122。下端子120包括基部1200及自基部1200相对两侧向上延伸的两臂部1202。每一臂部1202包括一远离另一臂部1202延伸的第一部份1204及自第一部份1204末端朝向所述另外一个臂部延伸的第二部份1206。由此,第一部份1204和第二部份1206之间形成一个凸点1208。两臂部1202上的凸点1208于水平方向上之间隔大于上端子122在水平上的最大宽度。
请参考图1至图4,上端子122大致呈椭圆形。上端子122容纳于下端子120的两臂部1202形成的容纳空间内且相对于下端子120可以上下移动。请参图3及图4,上端子122的下端1220位于凸点1208的下方且其中心位于凸点1208上方,而下端子120的第二部份1206的大部份位于凸点1208上方,而两臂部1202的自由末端于水平方向上之间隔则小于上端子122的最大宽度。由此,导电端子12于上端子122和下端子120之间能达成一自锁效果,即下端子120本身即可以限定上端子122相对于下端子120的向上的移动。另外,下端子120的臂部1202的第二部份1206于其两侧分别设有一弯曲部1209,以限定上端子122在水平方向的移动。
仍请参考图3及图4,在芯片模块2与电连接装置1的导电端子12对接前,上端子122浮动地容纳于下端子120的两臂部1202形成的容纳空间内。当芯片模块2受外力向下移动,上端子122亦受压并朝下端子120移动。由此,下端子120的两臂部1202产生弹性变形并与上端子122紧密接触。同时,上端子122的顶端将与芯片模块2的导电垫片20接触,从而电连接装置1与芯片模块2之间建立起电性连接。而当外力撤去及移除芯片模块2,上端子122将在下端子120的两臂部1202的弹力作用下向上移动并回到初始位置。
下端子120可通过多种方法安装在基板10上。请参考图3,本实用新型的第一种实施例,下端子120的基部1200的底部部份撕裂并向下延伸形成一安装部1210。请参考图5,根据本实用新型的第二种实施例,下端子120通过焊料3焊接至基板10。
为保证芯片模块2和导电端子12之间良好的接触效果,本实用新型的第一种实施例及第二实施例的电连接装置1设有一位于基板10上的限位装置14,该限位装置14与基板10共同形成可以容纳芯片模块2的收容空间。该限位装置14包括间隔设置且位于基板10上设置有导电端子12的区域以外的两支撑壁140。两支撑壁140分别设有一台阶部142,两台阶部142形成一可支撑芯片模块2的支撑面,以防止芯片模块2被过度下压。
本实用新型的导电端子12仅通过下端子120即安装在基板10上,另外仅利用下端子120来限定上端子122的位置,不需要设置绝缘本体或类似元件来限定上端子122,故结构简单。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接装置,包括基板及若干安装于基板上的导电端子,每一导电端子包括下端子及与下端子配对的上端子,其特征在于:下端子设有容纳空间,上端子浮动地容纳于该容纳空间内;其中,上端子受力后向下移动且使下端子发生弹性变形,进而与下端子紧密接触;当外力撤去后,上端子于下端子的弹性作用下向上移动进而回到原来位置。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接装置,其特征在于:所述上端子呈椭圆形。
3.如权利要求1所述的电连接装置,其特征在于:所述下端子包括基部及自基部相对两侧向上延伸的两臂部,所述容纳空间形成于两臂部之间。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接装置,其特征在于:所述臂部包括远离另一臂部延伸的第一部份及自第一部份末端朝向另一臂部延伸的第二部份。
5.如权利要求4所述的电连接装置,其特征在于:所述臂部的第二部份于两侧分别设有一弯曲部。
6.如权利要求4所述的电连接装置,其特征在于:所述第一部份和第二部份之间形成一凸点,上端子的下端位于凸点下方。
7.如权利要求4所述的电连接装置,其特征在于:所述两臂部的自由端在水平方向上的最小间距小于上端子在水平上的最大宽度。
8.如权利要求1所述的电连接装置,其特征在于:所述基板上设有限位装置。
9.一种电连接装置的导电端子,其包括下端子及与下端子配对的上端子,其特征在于:下端子设有容纳空间,上端子浮动地容纳于该容纳空间内;其中,上端子受力后向下移动且使下端子发生弹性变形,进而与下端子紧密接触;当外力撤去后,上端子于下端子的弹性作用下向上移动进而回到原来位置。
10.如权利要求9所述的电连接装置的导电端子,其特征在于:所述下端子包括基部及自基部相对两侧向上延伸的两臂部,所述容纳空间形成于两臂部之间。
