Abstract

发明技术领域
本发明涉及个人通信系统，并更具体地涉及利用移动台检索本地地址信息。
相关技术的描述
移动用户旅行到一个陌生的区域并需要在运个不熟悉的区域查询某个特殊的事务或设施时会遇到一个典型的问题。例如，某人从加利福尼亚旅行去往纽约并处在堪萨斯州的中部，如果想就餐或加油但却不知道哪里提供这些业务。
现在，已有的提供地址类型信息的系统包括全球定位系统(GPS),GPS向用户提供预先设定的各种场所的地点和与用户相对的位置。尽管此类系统可以很有用，但很昂贵。而且，用户无法利用没有预先设定在用户的GPS单元中的地址。这样，一个通过蜂窝电话系统的移动台而运行的系统可以向移动用户提供有用的信息。
发明概要
本发明通过为移动台提供查询某一特定事务例如饭店、加油站和干洗店等的地址信息的方法和设备克服了前文所述的问题和其它问题。移动台包含一个能通过移动台用户接口响应用户输入的模块，以便产生关于某一特定类型事务的位置信息的一个请求。这个请求发送给为该移动台服务的一个移动交换中心(MSC)，再转发到该移动台的原籍位置寄存器(HLR)。
原籍位置寄存器确定出正在发送请求的移动台的位置区域和/或小区全局标识。移动台的位置数据连同该请求被发送到设置在与原籍位置寄存器远距离或与其连在一起的一个数据库。作为对该请求和原籍位置寄存器提供的位置数据的响应，数据库为移动台所在的位置区域和/或小区全局标识区域中的每一种所请求的事务类型查询地址信息。这个信息发送给移动台，用户可在此查询信息。

附图详述
参照附图，更具体说是图1和图2，这是一个描述本发明组成的方块图和一个说明本发明运行的流程图。起初，在移动台10的一个用户请求(步骤15)关于某一特定类型事务例如饭店、加油站或影剧院的最近位置的信息。这个信息通过移动台10的用户接口25输入到一个用户模块20。
用户模块20把请求格式化成一个非结构化附加业务数据(USSD)，以便经过基站36发送给移动交换中心/访问者位置寄存器(MSC/VLR)30。尽管下面的描述使用的是USSD消息协议，但应理解为可使用任何消息协议。USSD协议用于非标准化数据，数据在MSC/VLR30和移动台10间以非结构化的方式通信。USSD消息使得用户在公共陆地移动网(PLMN)应用和一个移动台之间以一种透明的方式通过一个移动电信网之间互通。因为在传输期间没有对消息内容进行检查和操作，所以通信是透明的。
在编码成一个USSD消息的请求从基站36发送到MSC/VLR(步骤35)以后，在步骤45该请求被发送到移动台10的原籍位置寄存器(HLR)40。HLR处理从移动台10来的请求并为移动台10确定出(步骤50)它现在的位置区域(LA)和/或小区全局标识(CGI)。位置区域是由每个MSC/VLR30覆盖的总区域的子群。位置区域包含一个移动台10可以不需要向MSC/VLR30更新位置信息就可以自由移动的区域。小区全局标识是位置区域的一个子单元，它规定了移动台10位于其中的特定小区。一旦确定出位置区域/小区全局标识的信息，这一数据连同原始请求一起发给一个美系数据库55(步骤60)。该请求和位置数据从HLR用USSD消息发给关系数据库。
参考图3，它说明了关系数据库55的结构。每个组成部分条目65都在一个特定事务分类目录70下分类。图3描述了饭店的事务分类目录70。其它的例子可以包括剧院、加油站、商场和保龄球场等。对每个组成部分条目65都有与其相关联的小区群标识75和位置区域80，事务组成部分条目就位于这个区域中。一个地址条目85指示了组成部分条目65的物理街道地址。
一旦数据库55从HLR40接收到请求和位置数据信息，就在步骤100查找包含在请求中的特定事务分类目录70。接下来，移动台10的小区群标识75和/或位置区域80的信息就为选定的事务分类目录与CGI和LA信息进行比较(步骤105)。数据库55随后在步骤110选择与发请求的移动台10具有相同或基本相同的CGI和/或LA中选定事务分类目录70的这些组成部分条目65(步骤110)。这样，在移动台10的一个用户就可以在他们特定的位置区域或小区区域中或是在邻近的位置区域或小区区域中找到饭店。
接下来，选定的组成部分条目的地址转换成USSD消息发送回移动台10(步骤115)。传回给移动台10要通过传回给HLR40、MSC/VLR30和BS35而实现。接收到的USSD消息由用户模块20处理后把地址信息显示在用户显示器120上。
图1进一步说明了在移动台10和一个数据库55b之间的第二种路径，其中数据库与MSC/VLR30直接连接。在这种结构中，MSC/VLR30将为移动台10确定当前的位置区域(LA)和/或小区全局标识。这一信息随后将用于以上边讨论过的方法找出与移动台最近的组成部分条目65。
图1还说明了第三种路径，其中数据库55c经过网关移动交换中心(GMSC)125而位于公共陆地移动网之外。HLR40或MSC/VLR30将象上述的那样把移动台10的位置区域抽取出来并把这个信息通过GMSC125发送给数据库55c。地址数据通过首站125传送回移动台。
在本发明的另一个实施方案中，在移动台10与关系数据库55之间的所有消息都可以用短消息业务(SMS)协议通过公共陆地移动网传送。在这个实施方案中，用户模块20只是把对位置信息的请求包封成一个SMS消息并通过一个控制和数据信道例如一个独立的专用控制信道(SDCCH)发送该消息。请求和地址数据发送方式与前边所述的USSD消息的发送相同。从关系数据库55接收到包含地址数据的SMS消息后，移动台10把数据传送给一个附属的用户标识模块(SIM)卡135，SIM卡把接收到的数据存储到一个内部缓存器或内存寄存器中。然后这个消息就可以由用户进行访问。
结合附图和前面的详细表述尽管说明了本发明的方法和装置的一套优选实施方案，但这应该理解为本发明并不局限于所揭示的实施方案，而是可以在不脱离本发明所阐述并且由以下权利要求所定义的精神的前提下进行大量的重新调整，修改和替换。

Claims (23)

1．一种向蜂窝电话网中的移动台提供查询选定的事务种类的位置信息的方法，包括以下步骤：
在中心位置接收从移动台发出的用户对选定的事务种类的位置信息的请求；
为移动台确定标识其当前位置的位置数据；
查找与移动台有基本相同位置数据的选定事务种类的组成部分；
把查找出的选定事务种类组成部分的位置信息发送给发出请求的移动台。
2．权利要求1的方法，其中位置数据包含移动台的一个位置区域。
3．权利要求1的方法，其中位置数据包含移动台的一个小区全局标识。
4．权利要求1的方法，进一步包含用一个非结构化附加业务数据消息从移动台向中心位置发送一个请求的步骤。
5．权利要求1的方法，进一步包含用一个短消息业务的消息从移动台向中心位置发送一个请求的步骤。
6．权利要求1的方法，其中中心位置包含一个原籍位置寄存器。
7．权利要求6的方法，其中发送的步骤进一步包含把找到的组成部分从一个数据库发送到原籍位置寄存器再到一个移动交换中心最后到一个移动台的步骤。
8．权利要求1的方法，其中确定的步骤利用了一个关系数据库，它包含多个事务种类的多个组成部分的列表，其每个组成部分都有相关联的位置信息和位置数据。
9．权利要求1的方法，其中中心位置包含一个访问者位置寄存器。
10．能使用户从蜂窝电话系统的移动台获得选定的事务种类的位置信息的系统，包括：
位于移动台中能使用户产生一个选定的事务种类的位置信息请求的装置；
响应位置信息请求能为移动台确定位置数据的装置；
对位置信息的位置数据和请求作出响应的数据库，该数据库提供选定事务种类中与移动台有基本相同位置数据的组成部分的位置信息。
11．权利要求10的系统，其中在移动台中的装置和数据库通过一个通信链路用非结构化附加业务数据消息互连。
12．权利要求10的系统，其中在移动台中的装置和数据库通过一个通信链路用短消息业务数据消息互连。
13．权利要求10的系统，其中用于确定的装置包含移动台的一个原籍位置寄存器。
14．权利要求10的系统，其中数据库包含一个含有多个事务种类的多个组成部分的关系数据库，多个组成部分中的每一个都有相关联的位置数据和位置信息。

位于移动台中的一个用户模块，它能使用户经过一个通信链路用非结构化附加业务数据协议向中心位置发送一个位置信息请求；
设在中心位置中作为对位置信息请求的响应而为移动台确定位置数据的装置；
包含多个事务种类的多个组成部分的一个关系数据库，它对选定的事务种类中与移动台有基本相同位置数据的组成部分提供位置信息，多个组成部分中的每一个都有相关联的位置数据和位置信息。
21．权利要求20的系统，其中用于确定的装置包含移动台的一个原籍位置寄存器。
22．权利要求20的系统，其中位置数据包含一个位置区域标识。
