技术领域
本申请涉及一种柔性显示装置,尤其涉及一种能够降低柔性基底弯折时所受的应力,避免线路受损开裂,从而提高良率的柔性显示装置。
背景技术
随着柔性有机发光器件(Organic Light-Emitting Diode,OLED)显示技术的发展和成熟,无边框OLED显示器成为当前重要的发展趋势之一。在无边框OLED显示器的制造工艺中,衬垫弯折(PAD bending)技术成为决定良率的关键之一。
衬垫弯折工艺是指将柔性OLED衬垫区弯折并贴附于背面,以达到全屏显示的效果。在弯折过程中,柔性OLED面板的柔性基底与背板(Black Plate,BP)直接接触,柔性基底弯折时受到应力,设置在柔性基底上的线路受损开裂,降低了良率。
发明内容
有鉴于此,本申请提供一种能够降低柔性基底弯折时所受的应力,避免线路受损开裂,从而提高良率的柔性显示装置。
一种柔性显示装置,其包括:柔性显示面板,所述柔性显示面板包括显示区、弯折区和绑定区,所述弯折区位于显示区和绑定区之间;第一背板,所述第一背板位于所述显示区的非显示面;以及第二背板,所述第二背板位于所述绑定区的非绑定面;其中,所述第一背板和所述第二背板的至少一个为一背板结构,所述背板结构包括支撑层与多孔材料层,所述多孔材料层在所述弯折区的端部与所述柔性显示面板贴合。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述支撑层与所述多孔材料层层叠设置,所述多孔材料层设置于所述支撑层与所述柔性显示面板之间。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述支撑层的厚度为所述背板结构厚度的60%-80%,所述多孔材料层的厚度为所述背板结构厚度的20%-40%。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述支撑层的厚度为60μm-80μm,所述多孔材料层的厚度为20μm-40μm。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述支撑层与所述多孔材料层层叠设置,所述支撑层与所述多孔材料层均与所述柔性显示面板贴合。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述支撑层包括一凹部,所述凹部位于所述支撑层靠近所述弯折区的一侧,所述多孔材料层位于所述凹部内。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述背板结构包括至少一个曲面,所述至少一个曲面与所述弯折区的端部接触。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述至少一个曲面包括位于所述多孔材料层的一个曲面或者由多孔材料层与所述支撑层共同形成的一个曲面。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述支撑层的硬度大于所述多孔材料层的硬度。
在本发明一实施方式中,所述绑定面上设置有驱动芯片和柔性电路板,所述第一背板远离所述柔性显示面板的一侧还设置有金属层和衬垫。
本申请一实施方式的背板结构通过使用支撑层和多孔材料层双层结构,以多孔材料中具有的孔来降低背板结构与柔性显示面板之间的应力,同时,在背板结构与柔性显示面板接触的位置设置曲面,将点接触或线接触变为面接触,进一步降低了应力,能够避免线路受损开裂,从而提高良率。

请参考图1,本发明一实施方式提供一种柔性显示装置100,其为有机发光二极管(organic light emitting diode,OLED)显示装置。
所述柔性显示装置100包括可弯折的柔性显示面板10。柔性显示面板10的基板的材料采用如聚酰亚胺塑料、聚醚醚酮或透明导电涤纶等高分子材料,在本实施例中,采用聚酰亚胺(Polyimide,PI)材料。柔性显示面板10可分为显示区AA、弯折区BB以及绑定区CC。
显示区AA用于显示图像。将显示区AA中显示图像的表面称为显示面10a。将与显示面10a相反的一面称为非显示面10b。弯折区BB呈弧形,位于显示区AA与绑定区CC之间。将绑定区CC背离显示区AA的一面称为绑定面10c,朝向显示区AA的一面称为非绑定面10d。绑定面10c用来连接驱动芯片(Integrated Circuit,IC)20和柔性电路板(Flexible PrintedCircuit,FPC)30并将驱动信号传递至柔性显示面板10。在本发明一实施方式中,驱动芯片(Integrated Circuit,IC)20设置在一薄膜上,即采用覆晶薄膜(Chip On Film,COF)。
柔性显示面板10还包括用于支撑和保护柔性显示面板10的第一背板41和第二背板42。第一背板41设置于显示区AA的非显示面10b上。第二背板42设置于绑定区CC的非绑定面10d。
所述第一背板41和第二背板42中至少一个为一背板结构40。请参考图2(a)-2(c),背板结构40包括支撑层401和多孔材料层402。背板结构40的多孔材料层402在弯折区BB的端部P1和端部P2与柔性显示面板10贴合。具体地,如图2(a)所示,在本申请一实施方式中,支撑层401与多孔材料层402上下层叠设置。多孔材料层402设置于支撑层401与柔性显示面板10之间。在该实施方式中,支撑层401的厚度占背板结构40厚度的60%-80%,大约为60μm-80μm,多孔材料层402占背板结构40厚度的20%-40%,大约为20μm-40μm。如图2(b)所示,在本申请另一实施方式中,支撑层401与多孔材料层402左右层叠设置。支撑层401与多孔材料层402均与柔性显示面板10贴合。如图2(c)所示,在本申请又一实施方式中,支撑层401包括一凹部401a,凹部401a位于支撑层401靠近弯折区BB的一侧,多孔材料层402位于凹部内401a。
多孔材料层402仅设置于背板结构40的角部。支撑层401与多孔材料层402均与柔性显示面板10贴合。
支撑层401用于支撑柔性显示面板10,可以使用硬度较大的材料。支撑层401的材料包括但不限于例如聚对苯二甲酸类塑料(Polyethylene terephthalate,PET),聚乙烯材料(polyethylene,PE)的一种或多种。在本申请的一实施方式中,为了不增加背板结构40的厚度,同时又能维持背板结构40的支撑力,支撑层401的材料硬度设置为比现有技术的支撑层材料的硬度大的材料。
多孔材料层402用于缓解背板结构40与柔性显示面板10的柔性基底之间的应力,能够起到保护柔性显示面板10上的线路的作用。多孔材料层402可以使用硬度较小的材料。所述多孔材料包括但不限于:金属纤维、多孔凝胶、多孔橡胶、海绵或泡沫塑料的一个或多个。
背板结构40包括至少一个曲面R,至少一个曲面R与弯折区CC的端部P1和端部P2相接触。曲面R例如可以是设置一个圆角。在本实施方式中,如图2(a)所示,所述至少一个曲面R为位于所述多孔材料层401的一个曲面R。在本发明其他实施方式中,如图2(d)所示,所述至少一个曲面R还可以包括位于所述多孔材料层401的一个曲面R和位于支撑层402上一个曲面R。如2(e)所示,所述至少一个曲面R也可以为由多孔材料层401和支撑层402共同形成的曲面R。
该至少一个曲面R与柔性显示面板10的柔性基底直接接触使得背板结构40与柔性基底从点接触或者线接触变成面接触,有效降低了背板结构40与柔性显示面板10的柔性基底之间的应力。此外,虽然未图示,但在柔性显示面板10远离背板的表面还设置有增加柔性显示面板10机械强度的UV胶,UV胶的涂布顺序一般是从端部P1和端部P2的一个至另一个,UV胶的流动特性导致涂布开始区域的UV胶厚,涂布结束区域的UV胶薄,也就是说端部P1和端部P2的一个区域正是UV胶厚度最大的位置,也就是应力最大的位置,通过将端部P1和端部P2设置为面接触,可以有效降低接触区域的应力。
第一背板41的远离柔性显示面板10的一侧依次层叠有金属层50和衬垫60。金属层50可以将已经由柔性显示面板10产生的热朝向外部发射,并且金属层50还可以用于传导有机发光显示装置上的静电,避免静电对于显示效果的影响。金属层50可以是导电和导热性能较好的铜箔。衬垫60用于避免因弯折时弯折角度过小导致显示面板出现物理断裂或者内部信号线路损坏并且可以减少施加到柔性显示面板10的冲击。衬垫60可以包括聚合物,诸如聚丙烯(PP)或聚乙烯(PE),也可以包括具有高弹力的材料,例如橡胶。在本发明一实施方式中,衬垫层60可以形成为泡沫或凝胶。
柔性显示面板10的1显示面10a还设置有盖板70,盖板70用于保护柔性显示面板10等部件,盖板70可以为例如玻璃或者塑料。
本申请一实施方式的背板结构通过使用支撑层和多孔材料层的双层结构,以多孔材料中具有的孔来降低背板结构与柔性显示面板之间的应力,同时,在背板结构与柔性显示面板接触的位置设置曲面,将点接触或线接触变为面接触,进一步降低了应力,能够避免线路受损开裂,从而提高良率。
在本申请其他实施方案中,也可以是第一背板和第二背板的其中一个为支撑层和多孔材料层双层结构,另一个为现有的背板结构。
以上对本申请实施方式提供了详细介绍,本文中应用了具体个例对本申请的原理及实施方式进行了阐述,以上实施方式的说明只是用于帮助理解本申请。同时,对于本领域的技术人员,依据本申请的思想,在具体实施方式及应用范围上均会有改变之处,综上所述,本说明书内容不应理解为对本申请的限制。
Claims (8)
1.一种柔性显示装置,其特征在于,包括:
柔性显示面板,所述柔性显示面板包括显示区、弯折区和绑定区,所述弯折区位于显示区和绑定区之间;
第一背板,所述第一背板位于所述显示区的非显示面;以及
第二背板,所述第二背板位于所述绑定区的非绑定面;
其中,所述第一背板和所述第二背板的至少一个为一背板结构,所述背板结构包括支撑层与多孔材料层,所述多孔材料层在所述弯折区的端部与所述柔性显示面板贴合,所述端部位于所述显示区,所述背板结构还包括至少一个曲面,所述至少一个曲面与所述端部接触,且一所述曲面为所述多孔材料层朝向所述端部的一面,所述支撑层的厚度为所述背板结构厚度的60%-80%,所述多孔材料层的厚度为所述背板结构厚度的20%-40%,所述多孔材料层的材料包括金属纤维或多孔凝胶中的一个或两个。
2.如权利要求1所述的柔性显示装置,其特征在于,所述支撑层与所述多孔材料层层叠设置,所述多孔材料层设置于所述支撑层与所述柔性显示面板之间。
3.如权利要求2所述的柔性显示装置,其特征在于,所述支撑层的厚度为60μm-80μm,所述多孔材料层的厚度为20μm-40μm。
4.如权利要求1所述的柔性显示装置,其特征在于,所述支撑层与所述多孔材料层层叠设置,所述支撑层与所述多孔材料层均与所述柔性显示面板贴合。
5.如权利要求1所述的柔性显示装置,其特征在于,所述支撑层包括一凹部,所述凹部位于所述支撑层靠近所述弯折区的一侧,所述多孔材料层位于所述凹部内。
6.如权利要求1所述的柔性显示装置,其特征在于,所述至少一个曲面包括位于所述多孔材料层的一个曲面或者由多孔材料层与所述支撑层共同形成的一个曲面。
7.如权利要求1所述的柔性显示装置,其特征在于,所述支撑层的硬度大于所述多孔材料层的硬度。
8.如权利要求1所述的柔性显示装置,其特征在于,所述绑定面上设置有驱动芯片和柔性电路板,所述第一背板远离所述柔性显示面板的一侧还设置有金属层和衬垫。
