All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
In the present invention, unless otherwise specifically stated, the terms "mounted," "connected," "fixed," and the like are to be understood broadly, and for example, may be fixedly connected, detachably connected, or integrally formed, mechanically connected, electrically connected, or communicable with each other; they may be directly connected or indirectly connected through an intermediate medium, or they may be connected internally or in any other manner known to those skilled in the art, unless otherwise specifically limited. The specific meanings of the above terms in the present invention can be understood by those skilled in the art according to specific situations.
Example one
Referring to fig. 1, the present embodiment provides a display panel, including: an array substrate 10, a light-emitting layer 20, an encapsulation layer 40, and a filter layer 30, which are stacked; the packaging layer 40 and the light-emitting layer 20 are positioned between the filter layer 30 and the array substrate 10, and the light-emitting layer 20 is arranged close to the array substrate 10; the encapsulation layer 40 includes a plurality of intermediate film layers 401 arranged in a stack; of the two adjacent intermediate film layers 401, the refractive index of the intermediate film layer 401 close to the array substrate 10 is greater than that of the intermediate film layer 401 far from the array substrate 10.
In this embodiment, the light emitting layer 20 includes a pixel defining layer and a light emitting unit, the pixel defining layer is provided with a plurality of pixel openings 201, each pixel opening 201 is provided with a light emitting unit therein, and the light emitting unit may be an organic light emitting unit. Preferably, when the light emitting unit is an organic light emitting unit, the display panel may be a flexible display panel, that is, the display panel may be bent to adapt to different application environments, thereby improving user experience.
Specifically, a plurality of thin film transistors are disposed on the array substrate 10, a plurality of first electrodes are disposed between the array substrate 10 and the pixel defining layer, and accordingly, each first electrode is electrically connected to one thin film transistor, and corresponds to one light emitting unit; a second electrode is disposed on a side of the light emitting layer 20 away from the array substrate 10, so that when the tft controls the first electrode electrically connected thereto to be charged, the light emitting unit corresponding to the first electrode emits light. The first electrode may be a metal layer mainly made of a metal material such as silver and copper, and the second electrode may be a transparent conductive layer mainly made of indium tin oxide.
In the present embodiment, the light emitting layer 20 and the encapsulation layer 40 are disposed between the light shielding layer and the array substrate 10, and the light emitting layer 20 is disposed close to the array substrate 10; the second electrode may be arranged between the encapsulation layer 40 and the light emitting layer 20, but of course the second electrode may also be arranged at a side of the encapsulation layer 40 facing away from the light emitting layer 20.
With reference to fig. 1, in the present embodiment, the filter layer 30 is disposed on a side of the encapsulation layer 40 away from the light emitting layer 20, and the filter layer 30 may include a light shielding layer and a filter opening 301, the light shielding layer is provided with a filter opening 301 opposite to the pixel opening 201, and the filter opening 301 is disposed in the filter opening 301. The light shielding layer is made of opaque light shielding materials, so that external light can only enter the display panel through the light filtering port 301; the light incident into the display panel is reduced. In addition, when the light emitting unit in the pixel opening 201 emits light, the light emitted by the light emitting unit is emitted through the corresponding filter opening 301; at this time, the light shielding layer can prevent the light in the light filtering port 301 from propagating into the adjacent light filtering port 301, and the light crosstalk between the adjacent light filtering ports 301 is avoided.
With continued reference to fig. 1, in the present embodiment, the light emitting layer 20 and the encapsulation layer 40 are disposed between the light shielding layer and the array substrate 10, and the light emitting layer 20 is disposed adjacent to the array substrate 10; that is, the encapsulating layer 40 is located between the light-emitting layer 20 and the filter layer 30, and the encapsulating layer 40 is used for encapsulating the light-emitting layer 20 so as to prevent air from contacting the light-emitting unit and further affecting the operation of the light-emitting unit. The encapsulating layer 40 includes a plurality of intermediate film layers 401 stacked, and the plurality of intermediate film layers 401 can improve an encapsulating effect of the light emitting layer 20.
In this embodiment, in two adjacent middle film layers 401, the refractive index of the middle film layer 401 close to the array substrate 10 is greater than the refractive index of the middle film layer 401 far from the array substrate 10; such that the refractive index of the entire encapsulation layer 40 gradually increases in the direction from the filter layer 30 to the array substrate 10.
The external light is emitted into the display panel and is reflected on a metal layer in the display panel, wherein the metal layer can be a first electrode or other film layers made of metal; the reflected light rays propagate outwards of the display panel, and at least a part of the reflected light rays are totally reflected when passing through the two adjacent intermediate film layers 401, so that the reflected light rays emitted by the display panel can be reduced, and the contrast of the display panel is improved.
In the process of emitting external light into the display panel, when the light passes through the two adjacent middle film layers 401, a part of the light is reflected, and a part of the light is refracted and then emitted to the array substrate 10; because the refractive index of the middle film layer 401 close to the array substrate 10 in the two adjacent middle film layers 401 is greater than the refractive index of the middle film layer 401 far away from the array space, in the process that light rays are transmitted to the array substrate 10, included angles between the light rays and the array substrate 10 when the light rays reach the interface of any two adjacent middle film layers 401 are different, and the included angles between the reflected light rays formed at the interface of any two adjacent middle film layers 401 and the array substrate 10 are also different; thus, when the light passes through the packaging layer 40, a plurality of beams of reflected light are formed, and the included angle between each reflected light and the array substrate 10 is different, so that the light is scattered; and the position of the eyes of an external user is fixed, so that the reflected light received by the user can be reduced, and the contrast is improved. In addition, since the light is reflected when passing through two adjacent intermediate film layers 401, the light passing through the encapsulation layer 40 is reduced, and the reflected light formed on the metal layer is reduced.
In this embodiment, the material of each middle film layer 401 is not limited as long as the refractive index of the middle film layer 401 close to the array substrate 10 is larger than the refractive index of the middle film layer 401 far from the array substrate 10 in the two connected middle film layers 401.
In this embodiment, one of the two adjacent middle film layers 401 is preferably an organic layer, and the other middle film layer 401 is preferably an inorganic layer. The encapsulation layer 40 composed of the organic layer and the inorganic layer improves the flatness of the encapsulation layer 40 while ensuring high sealability. Further, the organic layer and the inorganic layer constituting the encapsulation layer 40 may be alternately disposed.
In the display panel provided by this embodiment, the array substrate 10, the light emitting layer 20, the encapsulation layer 40, and the filter layer 30 are stacked, the encapsulation layer 40 and the light emitting layer 20 are located between the array substrate 10 and the filter layer 30, and the light emitting layer 20 is located close to the array substrate 10; the encapsulation layer 40 includes a plurality of intermediate film layers 401 stacked, and of two adjacent intermediate film layers 401, the refractive index of the intermediate film layer 401 close to the array substrate 10 is greater than the refractive index of the intermediate film layer 401 far from the array substrate 10; after the external light enters the display panel, the external light is reflected on the metal layer of the display panel, and the reflected light is totally reflected at the interface between the two adjacent middle film layers 401 in the process of passing through the packaging layer 40, so that the reflected light emitted by the display panel is reduced, and the contrast of the display panel is improved.
Example two
With continued reference to fig. 2 and fig. 3, in the present embodiment based on the first embodiment, the middle film layer 401 facing the array substrate 10 has a protrusion 402; the thickness of the protrusion 402 is gradually reduced from the middle to the edge in a direction perpendicular to the array substrate 10. In the process that the external light enters the display panel, the light is reflected on the surface of the protruding portion 402, and the thickness of the protruding portion 402 is gradually reduced from the middle to the edge, so that the included angle between the emitted light formed on the surface of the protruding portion 402 and the array substrate 10 is unequal, the light can be scattered, and the reflected light received by a user is reduced. In addition, when the external light is perpendicular to the display panel, most of the light can form reflected light on the surface of the protrusion 402, compared with the case where the surface of the middle film layer 401 is a plane, thereby reducing the light transmitted to the metal layer of the display panel.
Specifically, in the present embodiment, the thickness of the protruding portion 402 gradually decreases from the edge to the middle, and the protruding portion 402 may have a regular shape such as a cone shape or a pyramid shape, or the protruding portion 402 may have another irregular shape.
In this embodiment, the protrusion 402 may be disposed on a side of the middle film layer 401 facing the array substrate 10, or the protrusion 402 may be disposed on a side of the middle film layer 401 facing away from the array substrate 10.
Preferably, in the present embodiment, the surface of the convex portion 402 is a curved surface.
With continued reference to fig. 2 and fig. 3, in the present embodiment, the light-emitting layer 20 has a pixel opening 201 thereon, and a projection of the pixel opening 201 on the array substrate 10 is located within a projection of the protrusion 402 on the array substrate 10. The light transmittance of the pixel defining layer is low, so that external light mainly irradiates to the metal layer of the display panel through the pixel opening 201, and the projection of the pixel opening 201 on the array substrate 10 is located in the projection of the protrusion 402 on the array substrate 10, so that the light irradiating to the metal layer can be reduced.
Specifically, one projection 402 corresponds to one pixel opening 201, and the projection area of the pixel opening 201 on the array substrate 10 may be equal to the projection area of the projection 402 on the array substrate 10, or the projection area of the pixel opening 201 on the array substrate 10 is smaller than the projection area of the projection 402 on the array substrate 10.
With continued reference to fig. 2, in one realizable approach, the intermediate film layer in which the projections 402 are located may be composed of the projections 402 and the connecting portion connecting two adjacent projections 402, and the intermediate film layer is a continuous film layer.
With continued reference to fig. 3, in other implementations, the intermediate film layer in which the protrusion 402 is located may also be formed by a plurality of protrusions 402, and the intermediate film layer is a non-continuous film layer.
In this embodiment, each of the intermediate film layers 401 between the intermediate film layer 401 facing the array substrate 10 and the intermediate film layer 401 facing the filter layer 30 has a protrusion 402, and projections of the protrusions 402 on the array substrate 10 are overlapped. The light emitted to the metal layer is reflected by each of the protrusions 402 when passing through the encapsulation layer 40, thereby further reducing the light emitted to the metal layer and further reducing the reflected light emitted from the display panel.
In this embodiment, the display panel further includes a transparent layer 50, and the transparent layer 50 is disposed on a side of the filter layer 30 facing away from the array substrate 10. The transparent layer 50 may reduce the reflection of the external light on the filter layer, so as to further reduce the reflection of the light emitted from the display panel. Specifically, the transparent layer 50 may be an anti-reflection layer or other film layer with high transparency.
EXAMPLE III
With continuing reference to fig. 4 and 5, the present embodiment differs from the second embodiment in that: the adjacent three pixel openings 201 constitute a pixel unit, and the projection of the pixel unit on the array substrate 10 is located within the projection of the convex portion 402 on the array substrate 10. One protrusion 402 corresponds to three pixel openings 201, and compared with the case where each pixel opening 201 corresponds to one protrusion 402, the number of protrusions 402 can be reduced, thereby reducing the difficulty in manufacturing the encapsulating layer 40.
Specifically, three adjacent pixel openings 201 and the projection of the pixel defining layer between the pixel openings 201 on the array substrate 10 are located within the projection of the projection 402 on the array substrate 10. Among them, the three pixels constituting the pixel unit may be red pixels emitting red light, filter pixels emitting green light, and blue pixels emitting blue light.
For example, the protrusion 402 may be located on a side of the middle film layer 401 facing away from the array substrate 10, and of course, the protrusion 402 may also be located on a side of the middle film layer 401 facing the array substrate 10.
With continued reference to fig. 4, in one realizable approach, the intermediate film layer in which the projections 402 are located may be composed of the projections 402 and the connecting portion connecting two adjacent projections 402, and the intermediate film layer is a continuous film layer.
With continued reference to fig. 5, in other implementations, the intermediate film layer in which the protrusion 402 is located may also be formed by a plurality of protrusions 402, and the intermediate film layer is a non-continuous film layer.

Preferably, the display device is a flexible display device, the corresponding display panel is a flexible display panel, and the flexible display panel is bent to adapt to different application environments and improve user experience.
In the display device provided by the embodiment, the array substrate 10, the light emitting layer 20, the encapsulation layer 40, and the filter layer 30 are stacked, the encapsulation layer 40 and the light emitting layer 20 are located between the array substrate 10 and the filter layer 30, and the light emitting layer 20 is located close to the array substrate 10; the encapsulation layer 40 includes a plurality of intermediate film layers 401 stacked, and of two adjacent intermediate film layers 401, the refractive index of the intermediate film layer 401 close to the array substrate 10 is greater than the refractive index of the intermediate film layer 401 far from the array substrate 10; after the external light enters the display panel, the external light is reflected on the metal layer of the display panel, and the reflected light is totally reflected at the interface between the two adjacent middle film layers 401 in the process of passing through the packaging layer 40, so that the reflected light emitted by the display panel is reduced, and the contrast of the display panel is improved.
