Description
本发明涉及一种适用于塑料的导电底漆或者一种导电底漆的二道漆,它能在具有高结晶度和底表面极性的塑料表面上形成一层对其有高粘合性的涂层,并对于各种罩面漆具有优异的层间粘合性能,还涉及涂有该漆的带涂层的塑料模塑制品。
具有高结晶度或低表面极性的塑料,例如聚缩醛树脂、聚酯树脂(聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯、全芳香族聚酯等)等,在对其表面涂施涂层之前,因为漆的粘合性低,通常都要先进行物理的或化学的表面处理。例如机械粗化其表面即是一种物理方法;溶剂处理法即是一种化学方法;火焰处理、紫外线处理、电晕放电处理、等离子处理等方法即为物理-化学方法,这些方法均正在得到普遍应用。所有这些方法都是通过使塑料表面改性从而改善漆对其的粘合性。
在对塑料表面进行如上所述的任何物理的或化学的表面处理之后再施涂漆的方法,有其严重困难之处,表面处理不仅需要耗费相当的劳动力和大量的成本,而且被表面处理过的部分会受损变坏。为了克服这种困难,研制能提供合适粘合性的导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆已经取得进展,主要通过直接静电涂层的方法,而无需任何表面处理,并且已经采用一些材料进行过实际应用。这种导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆所要求的特性如下:
(1)它不会侵蚀塑料的表面和内部。
(2)它的涂层层间粘合力应十分优异(例如在进行1毫米间隔100格胶带剥离试验时,涂层不被剥落)。
(3)能形成坚韧的涂层(在漆膜形成时间,收缩小并且内应力小)。
(4)该漆应是快干的,从而可允许采用“湿上涂湿”的方式施涂罩面漆。
(5)它的涂层应是高度柔韧性的,具有强的抗物理冲击的能力(抗冲击性和抗碎缺性)。
(6)它的涂层应有优异的耐溶剂、耐水(粘附性)和耐热性(包括耐热循环试验)。
(7)静电涂层时效率(涂层效率、四周粘附性等)。
可是,由于高结晶度塑料和低表面极性塑料几乎对所有材料都只有很小的亲和性,因此不对它们进行某种表面处理,往往不容易在其表面获得高的粘附性;实际上,无需对塑料进行某种表面处理就能在聚缩醛或聚酯类模塑制品上保持满意的粘附性的导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆,在市场上还买不到。
本发明已设想把注意力集中于上述问题,并把提供一种导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆以及提供涂有该漆的塑料模塑制品作为本发明的目的,该漆能对高结晶度或低表面极性的塑料全部展示出上述所要求的特性。
由于本发明者为解决上述问题而进行反复刻苦的研究,不仅成功地研制出一种对塑料模塑制品具有优异粘附性的新型导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆,而且成功地制得了在其表面上以高涂层效率形成坚韧涂层的带涂层的塑料制品。
因此,本发明涉及一种导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆以及涂有该漆的带涂层的塑料模塑制品,上述底漆或二道漆的涂层形成的基本组分包括:
(A)聚氨酯基树脂,
(B)开环膨胀的螺环-原酸酯基树脂,
(C)纤维素衍生物,
(D)含羟基的表面活性剂,和
(E)导电材料。
本发明提供了一种适用作塑料制品的底漆或二道漆的导电涂层组合物,它包括:(A)一种聚氨酯树脂,(B)有开环膨胀性的螺环-原酸酯树脂,(C)纤维素衍生物,(D)含羟基的表面活性剂和(E)导电材料。
其中不含导电材料的组合物已在日本专利申请61-179430中和在日本的其它等同专利中公开了,所有这些文献在此列入作为参考。
作为组分(A),其特征在于具有高粘合性和高弹性,不仅具有增加漆层对要涂有该漆的物体的粘附性的作用,而且可提高涂层的抗冲击性;本发明采用聚氨酯基树脂作为组分(A)。这里所使用的聚氨酯树脂是一个代表各种改性聚氨酯树脂的通用名词,它们可以是任何树脂,只要它们包含有聚氨酯树脂作为其主要组分材料,而不管它们是热塑性的还是热固性的。但是,从要提供具有高粘合性和高弹性的涂层来看,则它们应该是平均分子量(Mn)在约2000~10000范围之内或者最好在约4000~7000之内的热塑性聚氨酯基树脂。
组分(B)主要使涂层不收缩,在阳离子催化剂的存在下,发生分子内不可递转的开环形成交联结构使之能够膨胀,由此在成漆膜时能起到减轻涂层收缩的作用,因此组分(B)不仅有减轻外应力的作用,而且还可减轻由收缩导致的漆膜的残余应变(内应力),此外即使在其开环状态也显示出有效的塑性效应。该组分由螺环-原酸酯基树脂组成;作为代表例可以提出2,2-双〔4-(2,3-环氧-丙氧基)苯基〕丙烷6-hexanolyd加聚产物、8,10,19,20-四氧杂三螺〔5.2.2.5.2.2〕二十一烷-2,14-二烯等。这些化合物中,较好的化合物是螺环-原酸酯酯化度为250~500g/eq.、最好约为300~400g/eq.,以及环氧值为0~5.0g/eq.、最好约为4.65g/eq.的螺环-原酸酯基树脂。
组分(C)提供成膜性(热流动性)和漆膜的硬度;它由一种纤维素衍生物组成。适合本发明目的的纤维素衍生物是纤维素酯,例如乙酸纤维素、丙酸纤维素、丁酸纤维素、乙酸丙酸纤维素、乙酸丁酸纤维素、硝酸纤维素等,特别是丁基化或丙基化度为17~55%的乙酸丁酸纤维素和乙酸丙酸纤维素较为适合,而具有更高丁基化度或丙基化度的乙酸丁酸纤维素和乙酸丙酸纤维素更为适合;它们的羟基浓度应为1.0~3.0,最好约为1.0(每4个无水葡萄糖单元中的羟基数目),而其粘度应为0.01~20.0秒,最好约为0.2秒(标准落球法粘度)。
组分(D)最好应是一种氟或硅基含羟基的反应性表面活性剂,它具有对漆膜表面的调节能力和反应性,从而可调节漆膜表面以及提供对罩面漆的层间粘合性。把羟基引入全氟烷基中所得的氟基化合物,以及把羟基引入有机硅氧烷等中所得的硅基化合物等可以作为实例,两者具有高羟值是有效的。部分这种羟基暴露在涂层表面,因而为罩面漆层提供了合适的粘合性。
组分(E)是一种使静电涂层可实行的组分,通过使涂层导电就可进行静电涂层,静电涂层与诸如喷涂涂层等方法相比,涂层效率优异。作为这种导电材料,例如,可以提出有导电炭黑、导电二氧化钛、导电锌白、导电三氯化锑、石墨、纤维状或颗粒状等多种形状的金属涂层填料、纤维状或其它形状的金属粉末和导电调节剂。
将这些组分A、B、C、D、E组合在一起以形成一种具有高涂层性能、高涂层效率以及对待涂物体和罩面漆都有高粘合性的涂层。
根据本发明,要求限定这5种组分-即形成涂层的组分(A)聚氨酯基树脂,(B)螺环-原酸酯基树脂,(C)纤维素衍生物,(D)含羟基的表面活性剂和(E)导电材料-的配料比例以处在下述组成范围内:
(A)聚氨酯基树脂:50~97%(重量)
(B)螺环-原酸酯基树脂(包含催化剂):2~40%(重量)
(C)纤维素衍生物:1.0~9.0%(重量)
(D)含羟基的表面活性剂:0.05~1.0%(重量)
(E)导电材料:适当数量(表面电阻值小于1013Ωcm)
决定上述组成范围的理由如下:
(A)如果聚氨酯基树脂少于50%(重量),则就缺乏能提供高粘合性的粘性层,导致粘合性不足;但如果超过97%(重量),则喷涂时发生雾化,所以表面平整度和表面硬度极低。
(B)如果螺环-原酸酯基树脂少于2.0%(重量),则既不能获得膨胀性也不能达到塑性效果,结果沿着模塑制品四周边缘(棱或角)部分施涂涂层的能力低;但如果超过40%(重量),则粘合性变差。
应当指出开环是由系统中的阳离子组分而引起的。通常,由于同时存在诸如甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐、二正丁基二月桂酸锡等催化剂而加速了开环反应;这样的开环反应在系统中存在的含有-COOH、-SO3H基等或酸式羟基的填料(例如硅酸铝基、硅酸镁基填料,表面羧基型的有机形式微凝胶等)的影响下发生反应。而且在开环状态下其本身也明显表现出优异的塑性效果。由于这种开环反应在室温很难发生,所以通常合适的是将施涂的涂层在100℃左右进行热处理,或者利用烘干罩面漆时所放出的热量来促进开环反应。
(C)如果纤维素衍生物少于1.0%(重量),它对热流动性和表面硬度的影响就不够;但如果超过9.0%(重量),粘合性变差。
(D)如果合有羟基的反应性表面活性剂少于0.05%(重量),则表面调节作用不明显,涂层表面平整度差;但如果超过1.0%(重量),则涂层出现疵病(弹坑状疵点等),并且与罩面漆之间的粘合性变差。
(E)导电材料的配料比随所用导电材料的类型而变化。因此需要调节该配料比以使涂有导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆的塑料制品的表面电阻值低于1013Ωcm。如果达到这个要求,可实现有效的静电涂层;而表面电阻值超过1013Ωcm是不合适的,那时只能达到通常的喷涂方法所能实现的涂层效率。
利用含有前述5种组分的所述的漆,可形成一种涂层,特别是在其涂层后通过对涂层进行热处理而诱导上述组分中的组分(B)、(C)和(D)发生反应,从而达到上述所要求的特性。由于这个原因,在与热固型罩面漆(例如烘烤漆等)结合使用该涂层的情况下,最为方便的是在烘烤固化时利用热量促使上述涂层组成组分发生交联。当然也可以在施涂之后先对该漆进行热处理,然后再施涂常温固化型的罩面漆。
在其配料范围内使用上述各组分时,采用与常温固化罩面漆相结合的常温固化方法也是切实可行的。
当使用通常的漆组合物时,根据需要通过向其中加入颜料、填料或其它各种添加剂,可以改进涂层的物理性质如增强、紫外线透射、颜色等;而用本发明的漆,同样也可以通过配料添加第三组分来进一步提高涂层的性能。然而很明显,在决定选用颜料、填料等的类型和配料比例时,应当考虑以便保证其能与导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆的涂层形成组分(A)、(B)、(C)、(D)和(E)的稳定混合。
前述涂层形成组分以及与其混合的颜料或其它添加剂,根据需要可用溶剂稀释并一起进行混合,从而制得导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆。应该明确,这种溶剂不应侵蚀被施涂的塑料表面并希望是快干的;可以举出的最通用的溶剂是在表2左边栏目下所列出的溶剂及其混合溶剂等。
在调合一种油漆时,需要考虑原材料的颗粒尺寸,使涂层形成组分、颜料和其它添加剂、不溶性组分能够以小于10μm的精细颗粒的形式均匀分散在溶剂中。该导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆通过恰当选用所用溶剂的种类和数量,可以作为溶剂型漆或者分散型漆。
作为施涂方法,用喷枪静电涂层、盘式静电涂层等方法都是有效的。
在施涂涂层后,该涂层应通过室温干燥和热空气干燥适当时间使之固化;热空气干燥时,合适的条件是在40~140℃下干燥5~20分钟。合适的干涂层的厚度是15~30μm;标准厚度可定为22±2μm。
最佳实施方案
由下文所列的表1中所示的每个组合物,制备导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆,然后用表2中所列组成的每种稠性稀释溶剂来稀释以调节其浓度;在聚缩醛、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯或全芳族聚酯(组成单体单元:
的塑料试片上,施涂该油漆溶液直到干膜厚度达到22±2μm为止;然后,该涂层在温度为80~140℃时热空气干燥20~30分樱纱耸雇坎阈纬勺榉秩裙袒H缓笥靡恢窒×现票敢恢置郯反妓崾髦幔ㄓ晒匚魍苛瞎局圃斓摹癮milack”),它通常是市售用于汽车外部装饰板;该漆用静电涂层法施涂在试片上形成干膜厚度为30~40μm的涂层,固化10分钟后,在140℃热空气干燥30分钟,从而有效的热固化。
在表1左边栏目中列出的组合物的组分指定为下列材料:
Barnock:(A)聚氨酯基树脂(由大日本油墨化学公司制造)exp-101:(B)螺环-原酸酯基树脂(催化剂:二正丁基二月桂酸锡)(由东压合成化学公司制造)。
CAB-551-0.2:(C)乙酸丁酸纤维素(由伊斯曼柯达公司制造)Defenser MCG-312:(D)含羟基的硅基反应性表面活性剂(由大日本油墨化学公司制造)
BYK NO-370:(D)含羟基的硅基反应性表面活性剂(由Bic Chemie CO.制造)
在表1中作为导电材料的组分(E),采用下列材料:
导电二氧化钛(由石原工业公司制造)
导电氧化锌(由白水化学工业公司制造)
石墨(由住友化学工业公司制造)
季胺盐化合物(Yusho Co.,Ltd.)(由Bic Chemie Co.制造)
按上述配料制得的导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆,以此涂层的塑料模塑制品,对上述无论哪种树脂来说,都已满足下述要求:
(1)漆不会侵蚀塑料的表面和内部。
(2)在施涂罩面漆后,涂层的层间粘合性优异(当进行1毫米间隔100格胶带剥离试验时涂层不剥落)。
(3)将形成坚韧的涂层(在成膜时,只有很小的收缩和十分小的内应变)。
(4)将是快速干燥的,因而可允许采用“湿上涂湿”的方式施涂罩面漆。
(5)形成的涂层是高柔韧的,抗物理冲击性很强。
(6)形成的涂层的耐水(粘附性)和耐热(包括耐热循环)性优异。
(7)静电涂层时能达到优异的涂层效率(粘合效率,四周粘合性等)。
比较例
在聚缩醛树脂试片上,不用本发明的导电底漆,只涂上实施方案中的罩面漆,以便进行比较,该涂层进行粘合强度试验(1毫米100格胶带剥离试验),全部被剥离掉。
使用本发明的导电底漆(实例1)制得的底漆,进行类似剥离试验的结果,如下以相对平均残余粘合率(每100格残留格的数目)来表示,该底漆包括除去组分A、B、C、D和E的任一组分后的组分A、B、C、D和E。
当缺少A组分时,0/100格
当缺少B组分时,约20/100格
当缺少C组分时,约30/100格
当缺少D组分时,约10/100格
当缺少E组分时,100/100格
(但是,当缺少E组分时,所达到的粘合效式鍪鞘凳┓桨钢写锏降恼澈闲实脑?0%。)
如上所述,本发明的导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆,其基本涂层形成的组分包括(A)聚氨酯基树脂,(B)开环膨胀性的螺环-原酸酯基树脂,(C)纤维素衍生物,(D)含羟基反应性表面活性剂和(E)导电材料,对具有高结晶度或低表面极性的塑料表面显示有高的涂层粘附性,因此不需要通常的化学的或物理的表面处理过程,而对各种罩面漆的层间粘合性都很好;这样在静电涂层各种罩面漆时能达到高静电涂层效率(粘合效率,四周粘合性等);所以对聚缩醛树脂、聚酯树脂(聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯,聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯,全芳族聚酯等)等,是很有用的导电底漆或导电底漆的二道漆;从而能提供优异的带涂层的塑料模塑制品。
Claims (3)
1、一种用于塑料制品的底漆或底漆的二道漆的导电涂层组合物,它包括(A)聚氨酯,(B)有开环膨胀性的螺环-原酸酯树脂,(C)纤维素衍生物,(D)含羟基的表面活性剂和(E)导电材料。
2、按照权利要求1所述的组合物,它包括50~97%(重量)的(A),2~40%(重量)的(B),1~9%(重量)的C,0.05~1%(重量)的(D)和有效数量的(E)。
3、一种涂有按照权利要求1中所述的涂层组合物的塑料制品。
