技术领域
本发明涉及轮胎压力监测装置。特别是,本发明涉及一种通用的轮胎压力监测装置和适于根据不同制造规程进行操作的方法。
背景技术
轮胎压力监测装置典型地被安装在轮胎内的车轮上,并且传送指示轮胎内状态条件的信息。信息的传送和序列由对应于车辆内部接收器的定义协议进行限定。每个汽车制造商具有一个特有的优选定义协议以满足对于应用而言特定的需要和设计。
不利地是,这些不同的和特有的协议要求相应的特定轮胎压力监测传感器,由此使维护和保养操作复杂化。
发明内容
轮胎压力监测装置的一个已公开实例包括存储器,所述存储器可被构造成或者保存多个通信协议,或者使用单一通信程序进行闪存编程(flashprogramming)以对操作进行调控。
轮胎压力监测装置的一个已公开的实例包括保存有数个不同通信协议的存储器。这些通信协议中的每一个通信协议与各个制造商优选的通信协议相对应。
轮胎压力监测装置的已公开的实例包括存储装置,所述存储装置适于储存多个不同的通信协议。在安装轮胎压力监测装置时,编程模块向每个轮胎压力监测装置发送信号,选择哪个通信协议将调控该轮胎压力监测装置的操作。
轮胎压力监测装置的另一个已公开的实例包括存储器,所述存储器中不包括通信协议。轮胎压力监测装置由编程装置进行闪存编程,所述编程装置包括用于各个不同的原始设备制造商的各个不同的通信协议。轮胎压力监测装置与编程装置通过接口连接,并且使用所需的通信协议进行闪存编程。然后将已编好程序的轮胎压力监测装置安装在车辆轮胎内部。
相应地,轮胎压力监测装置的该实例能够与不同的系统共同运行,并且可以根据不同通信协议而运行。

具体实施方式
参考图1,图中示出轮胎压力监测系统10被组装在车辆12内。系统10包括接收来自组装在每个车辆轮胎18内的轮胎压力监测装置14中的通信信息的接收器16。正如本领域技术人员所理解的,各个轮胎压力监测装置14被组装在轮胎18内并且向接收器16传送指示轮胎18内状态条件的信息。这些状态条件包括温度、压力以及任何其它有助于监测轮胎状态条件的所需信息。
示例性系统10包括均具有存储装置26的轮胎压力监测装置14。存储装置26用于储存多个通信协议28。通信协议28包括用于对操作和轮胎压力监测装置14与接收器16之间的通信进行调控的单个和特定的协议。由于每个轮胎压力监测装置14均包括数个为不同制造商提供的所需通信协议,因此需要将轮胎压力监测装置14安装在轮胎18内。一旦轮胎压力监测装置14被安装在轮胎18内,多个通信协议28中的一个就会被选中用于调控操作和通信。
选择所需的其中一个通信协议是通过使用编程装置20来完成的。示例性编程装置20发射无线信号22,所述无线信号由相应的其中一个轮胎压力监测装置14接收。编程装置20包括一系列可选按钮24,这些按钮由操作者致动以指示数个通信协议中的哪个是所需的用于操作轮胎压力监测装置的协议。尽管所示的示例性装置20具有按钮,但是其它显示器和可选的构型例如触摸屏或其它可选界面也落入本发明的预期范围内。
相应地,示例性通用轮胎压力监测装置14的安装包括初始步骤,即:将轮胎压力监测装置14物理安装在每个相应轮胎18内。在安装工艺中的该步骤中,不需要选择通信协议。这是因为每个轮胎压力监测装置14已经在其中储存了所有的用于与数个初始设备接收器15中的任一个进行通信所需要的通信协议28。
一旦轮胎压力监测装置14被物理地安装在每个轮胎18内,就会致动编程装置20。编程装置被安放在靠近各个轮胎压力监测装置14的位置以发送信号22。示例性信号22为由最近的轮胎压力监测装置14接收的低频传送信号。信号22触发轮胎压力监测装置以根据选择的其中一个已储存通信协议28进行操作。例如,在这种情况下,如果操作者选择1号按钮,那么相应的轮胎压力监测装置14将根据已储存的指示为1号的通信协议28进行操作。轮胎压力监测装置14可以被重新要求(reclaimed)并且可以通过停用当前选择的多个可选通信协议28中的其中一个并且选择多个可选程序28中的一个不同的程序而对通信协议进行重新设定。
当然,在本发明的预期方案内,控制器可以包括其它控制操作,而不仅是在图示实施例中所示的按钮24。进一步,编程装置20可以使用其它无线通信协议以传送和触发对所需通信协议的选择,相应的轮胎压力监测装置14将随之进行操作,这也落在本发明的预期方案内。
参照图2,另一示例性轮胎压力监测系统32使用包括存储器40的轮胎压力监测装置34。轮胎压力监测装置34的存储器40不包括任何通信协议数据。取而代之,存储器40设有用于通信协议的空间。带有空白存储器40的轮胎压力监测装置34其实处于空白状态(blankslate),如附图标记42所示。空白轮胎压力监测装置42被插入编程装置36内。编程装置36包括储存有多个通信协议28的存储装置38。轮胎压力监测装置34设置成通过接口与编程器36电气连通。然后编程器36受到致动从存储装置38中下载或闪存编程其中一个通信协议28送入轮胎压力监测装置的存储装置40中。该步骤在安装到车辆12中之前完成。
因此,将被组装到车辆内的每个轮胎压力监测装置34首先使用编程装置36完成了闪存编程以安装和选择所需的通信协议28。轮胎压力监测装置由此被设定,并且能够仅根据闪存编程的通信协议进行操作。编好程序的轮胎压力监测装置34由附图标记44被示出进行编程的状态,然后能够被安装到车辆12内以使用特定的车辆接收器16执行操作。
在如图2所示的示例性系统的安装过程中,多个空白轮胎压力监测装置34将可以根据预期需要用于进行闪存编程。在安装到车辆12内之前,各个轮胎压力监测装置34均载有由编程装置36提供的程序。编程装置36与轮胎压力监测装置34之间的示例性接口是物理连接。然而,无线连接也能被用于将所需的通信协议载入轮胎压力监测装置34中。然后以附图标记44所示的编好程序的轮胎压力监测装置能够被安装到车辆12内。
应该理解:计算装置可以用于执行不同功能以及示例性编程装置20和36的操作。对于硬件构架而言,这种计算装置可包括处理器、存储器和一个或更多输入和/或输出(I/O)装置接口,所述输入和/或输出(I/O)装置接口借助于本地接口通信联接。本地接口例如可包括,但不限于,一条或多条总线和/或其它有线或无线连接。处理器可以是用于执行软件尤其是储存于存储器中的软件的硬件装置。处理器可以是定制模式或市售处理器,中央处理单元(CPU),在数个与计算装置相关联的处理器之中的辅助处理器,基于半导体的微处理器(形式为微芯片或芯片组)或通常的用于执行软件指令的任何装置。
存储器可包括易失存储元件中的任何一个或组合(例如,随机存取存储器(RAM,例如DRAM、SRAM、SDRAM、VRAM等))和/或永久存储元件(例如ROM、硬盘驱动器、磁带、CD-ROM等)。而且,存储器中可以结合电子的、磁性的、光的、和/或其它形式的存储介质。应当注意:存储器也可以具有分散式结构,各种部件的位置彼此之间相隔很远,但是可以被处理器进行存取。
存储器中的软件可以包括一个或更多独立程序,每个程序包括用于执行逻辑功能的可执行指令序列表。当构建为源程序时,所述程序借助编译器、汇编程序,翻译机或类似装置进行翻译转化,这些装置可以或可以不被包括在存储器内。
因此,示例性轮胎压力监测装置14、34和编程装置20、36提供能够根据不同通信协议执行操作的系统和装置。
尽管本发明公开了优选的具体实施方式,但是本领域的普通技术人员将认识到某些变型也将落在本发明的范围内。基于该理由,附属的权利要求书应该被考虑以确定本发明的真正的范围和内容。
Claims (11)
1.一种对轮胎压力监测装置进行编程的方法,所述方法包括:
将轮胎压力监测装置安装到编程装置的安装位置,以在它们之间建立物理接口,所述编程装置具有第一存储器,所述第一存储器包括第一程序和第二程序,所述第一程序配置成根据与第一汽车制造商有关的第一协议来管理轮胎压力监测装置的操作和通信,所述第二程序配置成根据与第二汽车制造商有关的第二协议来管理轮胎压力监测装置的操作和通信;
通过编程装置的用户界面来选择所述第一程序或第二程序中的期望一个,所述选择通过对于汽车制造商而言不是特定的程序标识符进行;
将所述第一程序或第二程序中的期望一个从编程装置的第一存储器装载到设置在轮胎压力监测装置内的第二存储器。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,还包括根据选定协议操作轮胎压力监测装置。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,选择经由便携式编程装置传输的无线信号来完成。
4.如权利要求3所述的方法,还包括将便携式编程装置设置紧邻轮胎压力监测装置。
5.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中,编程装置包括闪存。
6.如权利要求1所述的方法,还包括:测量轮胎的状态。
7.如权利要求6所述的方法,其中,所述状态包括轮胎压力。
8.一种编程系统,包括至少一个轮胎压力监测装置和用于轮胎压力监测装置的编程装置,其中:
所述编程装置具有第一存储器,所述第一存储器包括第一程序和第二程序,所述第一程序配置成根据与第一汽车制造商有关的第一协议来管理轮胎压力监测装置的操作和通信,所述第二程序配置成根据与第二汽车制造商有关的第二协议来管理轮胎压力监测装置的操作和通信,其中,轮胎压力监测装置安装到编程装置的安装位置,以在它们之间建立物理接口;
所述编程装置配置成通过编程装置的用户界面来选择所述第一程序或第二程序中的期望一个,所述选择通过对于汽车制造商而言不是特定的程序标识符进行;
所述编程装置配置成将所述第一程序或第二程序中的期望一个从编程装置的第一存储器装载到设置在轮胎压力监测装置内的第二存储器。
9.如权利要求8所述的编程系统,其中,选择经由便携式编程装置传输的无线信号来完成。
10.如权利要求8所述的编程系统,还包括用于测量轮胎状态的传感器。
11.如权利要求10所述的编程系统,其中,所述状态包括轮胎压力。
