Abstract
本发明涉及一种数据通信设备。通过使用电磁感应来执行非接触数据通信的环线线圈天线(5)的部分导线(5a)被安置为包围壳体(2a)的侧表面,从而环线线圈天线(5)在壳体(2a)。
Description
本申请为申请日为2004年6月25日,申请号为200480018450.8的名称为“数据通信设备”的中国专利申请的分案申请。
技术领域
本发明涉及一种利用电磁感应进行非接触数据通信的数据通信设备。本申请要求2003年6月30日在日本提交的日本专利申请No.2003-188462的优先权,其全部内容通过参照而包含于此。
背景技术
最近,在自动检票器或电子货币系统的领域中,应用了非接触IC卡。这种非接触IC卡在卡体内包括:IC(集成电路)芯片,包括各种电子电路,被适配以执行数据写入/读出的各种处理操作;环线线圈(loop coil)天线,包括在平面构造中卷绕的导线。非接触IC卡基于电磁感应原理,利用交流电压作为激励IC芯片的电源,所述交流电压在例如13.56MHz的交变磁场下在向非接触IC卡提供的环线线圈天线中感生,而其中所述磁场在向被适配以对非接触IC卡写入或读出数据的读取器/写入器提供的环线线圈天线中生成。此外,非接触IC卡通过改变负载阻抗与读取器/写入器进行非接触数据通信。
这样,在这种根据需要从读取器/写入器提供电源的非接触IC卡中,不需要提供内部电源,从而数据写入/读出操作可以通过简单地瞬间持卡越过读取器/写入器而简易、快速地进行。
同时,考虑非接触IC卡的用户友好性,现在正考虑把上述非接触IC卡安装于例如诸如蜂窝电话的便携设备,从而便携设备自身可用作用于无线近距离传输的非接触设备,而无需用户携带卡,如日本专利特开公报11-213111中所公开的。
然而,如果在上述数据通信设备中,安装于非接触IC卡的平面环线线圈天线101被安置在诸如如图7所示意性示出的蜂窝电话的具有相当(veritable)厚度的壳体100中,则灵敏度偏移在其中安置了环线线圈天线101的壳体100的主表面之一、以及另一主表面发生,从而使用户友好性劣化。即,如果平面环线线圈天线101被安置在具有相当厚度的壳体100内部,则将发生这种环线线圈天线101的灵敏度随着方向改变或灵敏度区域在尺寸上变小的问题。
这样,为了均衡在环线线圈天线101在环线线圈天线101的两个主表面的灵敏度,平面环线线圈天线101必须被安置在壳体100中心。然而,如果在诸如前述蜂窝电话的便携设备中,这种平面环线线圈天线被安置在壳体中心,则要接受相当大的安装制约。
此外,在上述的环线线圈天线101中,如果导线的绕数增加,则环线线圈天线的开口区域减小,这样,与读取器/写入器通信的灵敏度区域变窄。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种数据通信设备,通过其可以解决现有技术中固有的上述问题。
本发明的另一目的是提供一种非接触数据通信设备,其中,环线线圈天线的灵敏度在壳体的两个主表面上均衡,而不论壳体的厚度,并且可以扩大灵敏度区域。
根据本发明的数据通信设备包括:壳体;移动电话功能单元,被安置在所述壳体内;环线线圈天线,被安置为导线的至少一部分沿侧表面延伸,所述侧表面是形成所述壳体的两个主表面之外的所述壳体的表面;以及半导体集成电路,与所述环线线圈天线连接,所述半导体集成电路使用电磁感应通过所述环线线圈天线与外部通信设备进行非接触数据通信,并具有非接触IC卡功能和/或读取器/写入器功能。
本发明的效果
在数据通信设备中,如上所述,其中环线线圈天线被安置为其导线沿壳体的侧面延伸,环线线圈天线的灵敏度在沿壳体厚度的方向上均衡,从而扩大环线线圈天线的通信灵敏度的区域。
根据下面的说明,特别是结合附图进行阅读,本发明的其它目的和特定的优点将变得更加清楚。

具体实施方式
现在参照附图,详细说明根据本发明的数据通信设备。
应用本发明的数据通信设备是蜂窝电话1,在传统电话功能之外,该蜂窝电话1还具有非接触IC卡功能和读取器/写入器功能,如图1所示。这种蜂窝电话1具有安装了显示部件3的结构,用于向主体部件2打开/关闭。
参照图1和2,具有非接触IC卡功能和读取器/写入器功能的半导体集成电路4(IC)、在非接触卡侧的环线线圈天线5以及在读取器/写入器侧的环线线圈天线6内置于蜂窝电话1中。环线线圈天线5、6与半导体集成电路4电连接。其中,非接触卡侧的环线线圈天线5安置在主体部件2的壳体中,而读取器/写入器侧的环线线圈天线6安置在显示部件3的壳体中。
半导体集成电路4包括:非接触IC卡7,通过外部读取器/写入器对其写入和读出数据,未示出;读取器/写入器发送电路8,用于向外部非接触IC卡写数据;以及读取器/写入器接收电路9,用于从外部非接触IC卡读出数据。对此半导体集成电路4,还电连接了蜂窝电话功能单元20,用于实施蜂窝电话1的呼叫或通信功能。
当接收到通过环线线圈天线5经由读取器/写入器侧的环线线圈天线6发出的作为询问信号的电磁波时,非接触IC卡7对电磁波的载波进行整流,以将其转换为直流电源,该直流电源驱动未示出的内部电路。随着IC卡改变其与外部读取器/写入器侧环线线圈天线之间的负载,非接触IC卡7也响应于该询问信号而执行幅度调制,以通过环线线圈天线6向外部读取器/写入器发送回复信号。
读取器/写入器发送电路8响应于用于传输的数据而调制用于传输的载波,以通过环线线圈天线6向非接触IC卡发送询问信号。读取器/写入器接收电路9通过环线线圈天线6接收从外部非接触IC卡发送的回复信号,并解调该信号以获取所接收的数据。
非接触IC卡侧环线线圈天线5被安置为其导线5a沿主体部件2的壳体2a的整个内外围表面延伸,如图1和3所示。这使得环线线圈天线5的灵敏度能够沿壳体2a的厚度均衡,而不依赖于壳体2a的厚度。
此环线线圈天线5通过导线5a沿壳体2a的内部侧表面螺旋卷绕而具有三维形状。在这种情况下,环线线圈天线5的大开口区域能够被提供,而不依赖于导线5a卷绕的圈数,由此,与图7所示的传统环线线圈天线101相比,能够有益地扩大用于与读取器/写入器通信的灵敏度区域。
具有此三维形状的环线线圈天线5可以通过使用图4所示的柔性印刷电路板而被容易地生产。特别是,柔性印刷电路板10是柔性伸展的绝缘衬底或例如聚酰亚胺的膜。导线5a在柔性印刷电路板10的主表面上形成为在与衬底的经度方向垂直的方向上排列的多个线性铜箔图案。该柔性印刷电路板10包括与壳体2a的内部侧表面的拐角一致的多个折线10a。折线10a的形成位置是可选择的。
此柔性印刷电路板10以相同的方向沿折线10a弯曲,其经度末端结合在一起从而以管状形式形成柔性印刷电路板10。同时,导线5a的相邻图案的一端和另一端分别相互连接,以沿柔性印刷电路板10的短侧方向形成螺旋卷绕的导线的单独环线线圈。值得注意的是,环线线圈的两端与在柔性印刷电路板10上安装的半导体集成电路4电连接。环线线圈的末端还与其上例如通过金属线安装了半导体集成电路4的衬底连接。
具有三维形状的环线线圈天线5可以极容易地生产。此环线线圈天线5可以容易地沿壳体2a的侧表面安置。环线线圈天线5通过使用粘合剂或通过插入在壳体2a的侧表面中形成的类似插座的凹陷,而结合到壳体2a的侧表面。环线线圈天线5还可以根据需要通过任何其它适当的方法而固定。
同时,环线线圈天线5还可以被安置为,取代在壳体2a的整个外围上安置导线5a,而是导线5a沿壳体2a的侧表面的部分而放置,如图6a中的例子所示。
环线线圈天线5可以直接嵌入树脂的壳体2a的侧表面。或者,导线5a可以镀在树脂壳体2a的侧表面上,以预设图案,或者导线5a可以被安置在壳体2a的侧表面中所形成的沟槽中。
在蜂窝电话1中,如上所述,其中非接触IC卡侧环线线圈天线5被安置,以沿主体部件2的壳体2a的侧表面延伸,可以沿主体部件2的两个主表面上的壳体2a的厚度而提供环线线圈天线5的大致均衡的灵敏度,以扩大蜂窝电话1与外部读取器/写入器通信的灵敏度区域。由此,在本蜂窝电话1中,可以获得在主体部件2的两个主表面上基本均衡的环线线圈天线5的灵敏度,从而,用于通信的灵敏度区域可以被扩大,以进一步改进用户友好性。
在蜂窝电话1中,如上所述,提供给读取器/写入器侧环线线圈天线6的导线也可以是三维形状,即,可以如非接触IC卡侧环线线圈天线5的情况,被安置为其导线5a沿显示部件3的壳体的侧表面延伸。另外,在蜂窝电话1中,非接触IC卡侧环线线圈天线5和读取器/写入器侧环线线圈天线6可以被分别提供至显示部件3的壳体和主体部件2的壳体2a。此外,在蜂窝电话1中,环线线圈天线5、6二者可以被提供至主体部件2的壳体或显示部件3的壳体。
本发明的数据通信设备不限于蜂窝电话1,并且可以广泛地应用于载有前述IC卡功能和/或读取器/写入器功能的用于无线近距离传输的非接触设备。
应当注意的是,本发明不限于前面参照附图所描述的实施例,对于本领域技术人员显而易见的是,在不背离本发明的范围的情况下,可以设想各种改变、替换或等效物。
工业实用性
根据本发明,在数据通信设备中,可以获得在具有相当厚度的壳体的两个主表面上的环线线圈天线的实质均衡的灵敏度,从而使得通信能够进行的灵敏度区域可以被扩大,由此进一步改进用户友好性。
Claims (4)
1.一种数据通信设备,包括:
壳体;
移动电话功能单元,被安置在所述壳体内;
环线线圈天线,安置为沿形成所述壳体的表面中的两个主表面之外的侧表面,至少导线的一部分在距该两个主表面大致均等的位置环绕;以及
半导体集成电路,与所述环线线圈天线连接,经由该环线线圈天线在与外部通信设备之间进行利用电磁感应的非接触数据通信,
其中,所述环线线圈天线通过粘合剂黏着并固定到所述壳体的侧表面,或插入到在所述壳体的侧表面中设置的插口部分,或者安置到在所述壳体的侧表面中形成的沟槽部分;
所述移动电话功能单元在所述壳体内与所述半导体集成电路分开安置。
2.根据权利要求1所述的数据通信设备,其中,所述环线线圈天线的所述导线被安置为围绕所述壳体的所有侧表面来环绕。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的数据通信设备,其中,所述环线线圈天线具有导线沿所述壳体的侧表面按螺旋形状卷绕的三维形状。
4.根据权利要求1-3中任意一项所述的数据通信设备,其中,所述壳体包括:
主体单元,
相对于该主体单元以可以开闭的方式安装的显示单元。
