本发明涉及用于柴油机和其它稀燃发动机的排放控制系统,更具体地涉及改进的还原剂储存系统。背景技术当前的排放控制规定使得在汽车的排放系统中使用催化器成为必要,以将在发动机运转期间产生的常规排放组分,例如一氧化碳(CO)、碳氢化合物(HC)以及氮氧化物(NOx),转换成非常规排气。
配备有柴油机和稀燃汽油机的车辆可提供燃料经济性提高的优点,然而,在这样的系统中由于排气中的高含氧量而使对NOx排放的控制成为挑战。选择性催化还原(SCR)催化器公知可实现高NOx转换效率,在该催化器中,通过将还原剂(例如富氨尿素)主动喷射到进入该催化器的排气混合物,而通过通常由普通金属构成的催化器将NOx连续还原成氮气(N2)。

如图1中所示,示出了用于通常用在机动车辆应用中的柴油机和其它稀燃发动机12的排放控制系统10。该排放控制系统包括选择性催化还原(SCR)催化器14,在该催化器中,通过将还原剂(例如富氨尿素)主动喷射到进入该催化器的排气混合物,而通过通常由普通金属构成的催化器将发动机排气中的NOx成分连续还原成氮气(N2)。还原剂储存在还原剂贮存器16中(图2和图3),并通过流体线路22由泵18输送至位于SCR催化器14上游的喷射器20。
在本发明的示例性实施方式中,还原剂贮存器16包括罐内或局部可潜水的还原剂泵组件24,还原剂泵组件24具有与流体上升道或基部28关联的输送模块26,该流体上升道或基部28从与贮存器16的底部30相邻的位置轴向延伸至贮存器16的顶部32。基部28包括环形安装环34,该安装环34通过与贮存器顶部32中的开口36接合而将泵组件24固定至贮存器。位于基部28中的还原剂吸入部38优选与罐的底部30相邻,以确保还原剂40的有效吹扫。可为含水尿素形式的还原剂40的冻结温度通常在12华氏度的范围内。加热元件42与泵组件24关联并操作成在车辆在寒冷天气运转期间温暖和/或融化还原剂40。在优选实施方式中,加热元件42与基部28关联(图2),并加热通过还原剂吸入部38抽取到泵组件中的还原剂。加热元件42还可加热基部28,致使基部周围的还原剂40局部升温。
还与泵组件关联的是流体喷洒组件,该流体喷洒组件在示例性实施方式中包括喷嘴喷洒环44。喷洒环44绕基部28的上部接近还原剂的上流体面29布置,并与泵18和加热元件42关联操作以通过一个或多个喷嘴43关于还原剂贮存器的内部,以喷洒型式46喷洒加热的液体还原剂41,喷洒型式46构造成使加热的流体在贮存器内从位于中央的泵组件24朝贮存器的外区域径向向外运动,从而利用由加热元件42产生的热来温暖和/或融化整个贮存器的还原剂。流体喷洒器在整个贮存器中散布加热的流体,致使热从较温暖的流体传递到较冷区域,否则这些区域不受加热元件的影响。其结果是使还原剂的融化更有效。可能期望增加输送至已加热燃料的热,从而提高本发明的温暖/融化能力。在这样的情况下,构想喷嘴喷洒环还可以包括补充加热元件,补充加热元件可操作以进一步加热离开喷嘴喷洒环44的流体。
在图4和图5中示出的本发明的另一示例性实施方式中,其中本发明的相同元件用与已述的相同的附图标记表示,流体循环组件具有喷嘴循环环144,喷嘴循环环144绕基部28的周边布置,位于贮存器16的上流体面29的下方。循环环144可沿着基部28的任何轴向位置布置,并优选位于还原剂吸入部38附近。循环环与泵18和加热元件42关联操作以将加热的液体还原剂41喷射到还原剂中而建立流体循环,该流体循环操作成使加热的流体在贮存器内从位于中央的泵组件24朝贮存器的外区域径向向外运动,从而利用由加热元件42产生的热温暖和/或融化整个贮存器的还原剂。该流体循环在整个贮存器中散布热的流体,致使热从较温暖的流体传递到较冷区域,否则这些区域不受加热元件的影响。其结果是使还原剂的融化更有效。可能期望增加输送至已加热燃料的热,从而提高本发明的温暖/融化能力。在这样的情况下,构想喷嘴喷洒环还可以包括补充加热元件,补充加热元件可操作以进一步加热离开喷嘴喷洒环144的流体。

Claims (9)

1.一种用于排放控制系统的还原剂贮存器,该还原剂贮存器包括:
泵组件,该泵组件具有适于从所述贮存器抽取还原剂的吸入部;
加热元件,该加热元件与所述泵组件关联以加热所述还原剂;
出口,该出口用于将加热的还原剂输送至所述排放控制系统;以及
流体喷洒组件,该流体喷洒组件包括喷洒环,所述喷洒环具有一个或多个喷嘴,所述一个或多个喷嘴构造成适于使所述加热的还原剂的一部分在所述还原剂贮存器内部以喷洒型式从所述泵组件朝向所述还原剂贮存器的外区域径向向外运动。
2.如权利要求1所述的还原剂贮存器,其中:
所述喷洒环位于所述还原剂的上流体面附近,并且可操作成在还原剂表面的上方形成所述喷洒型式,以在整个所述贮存器散布加热的流体。

还原剂贮存器,该还原剂贮存器与所述排放控制系统相关联,并具有泵组件、适于从所述贮存器抽取还原剂的吸入部、与所述泵组件关联以加热所述还原剂的加热元件、用于将所述加热的还原剂输送至所述排放控制系统的出口以及流体喷洒组件,该流体喷洒组件包括喷洒环,所述喷洒环具有一个或多个喷嘴,所述一个或多个喷嘴构造成适于使所述加热的还原剂的一部分在所述还原剂贮存器内部以喷洒型式从所述泵组件朝向所述还原剂贮存器的外区域径向向外运动。
6.如权利要求5所述的排放控制系统,还包括:
还原剂喷射器,该还原剂喷射器与所述泵组件出口相连通以从其处接收还原剂,从而输送至所述催化还原催化器。
7.如权利要求5所述的排放控制系统,其中:
