Abstract
一种用于压制成型的润滑组合物,它由溶解或分散在挥发性液体介质中的润滑剂组成,其中润滑剂含有至少一种具有二个或三个羟基的多元醇的酯,这些羟基中的一个或二个与长链羧酸酯化。它的熔点高于室温,但要足够低以使得用含水碱性清洗剂能将其从金属表面除去。
该组合物可用于生产线上的成型铝部件的结构成型。
Description
本发明涉及润滑组合物,特别是用于压制成型金属板的润滑组合物,其对于形成用于汽车工业的成型铝部件的粘结结构的技术是有现实意义的。例如在EPA127343中就描述了这样的技术,本发明的润滑剂就适用于这样的技术。把铝金属板卷材制成用于汽车工业的成型部件的结构的技术一般可包括下述步骤:
-将金属表面进行预处理以形成坚固的结合层作为其后涂用粘合剂的基面。
-将润滑剂涂到处理过的金属卷材上,然后可将其贮存或运输,并把它们切割成坯料以待压制成型,涂用润滑剂是为了保护处理过的金属表面。
-将这些金属板坯料压制成所需形状的构件,这一步和其后的操作都是在自动生产线上完成的。
-将粘合剂涂在成型构件的特定部位上,其不需先把润滑剂除去。
-将这些构件组装成所需结构的形状,并可以用点焊得到结构生强度。
-在提高的温度下把粘合剂固化。
-上述结构的金属表面用含水碱性清洗剂进行处理以除去润滑剂。
-将上述结构喷漆。
用于该技术的润滑剂需满足下列几个要求:
a)、显然,该润滑剂对压制成型操作必须具有适宜的润滑性能。
b)、该润滑剂在合适的金属贮藏温度下应为固体。液体或粘性
的润滑剂薄膜容易抹掉并沾上灰尘和污垢。
c)、由于在生产线上不用在粘合剂涂用之前把润滑剂除去,因此该润滑剂必须与粘合剂相容。
d)、在粘合剂涂上并固化之后,该润滑剂必须容易用常用的含水碱性清洗剂从金属表面上除去,以得到喷漆金属表面。
因此,需要一种满足上述所有要求的润滑剂。本发明的目的之一就是为了满足这些要求,但是本发明的润滑剂具有更广泛的用途,它不仅可用在上面所描述的技术中,也可以用在各种金属的其他成型和压力加工操作中。
另一方面,本发明提供一种用于压制成型的润滑组合物,该组合物由溶解或分散在挥发性液体介质中的润滑剂组成。其中该润滑剂包含至少一种具有二个或三个羟基的多元醇的酯,这些羟基中的一个或二个被长链羟酸酯化,并且该润滑剂的熔点高于室温,但是足够低以使其能用含水碱性清洗剂从金属表面上除去。
另一方面,本发明提供一种金属成型方法,其步骤是:将上述定义的润滑剂涂在金属板上,除去挥发性液体介质和进行金属成型操作。
另外,本发明提供一种由下列步骤组成的成型铝部件的结构的成型方法:
-把如上定义的润滑组合物涂在铝板上,并除去挥发性液体介质;
-将上述板坯压制成铝部件;
-将粘合剂涂在这些部件上;
-将上述部件以所需结构的形状组合在一起;
-固化粘合剂。
该润滑剂是多元醇与长链羧酸的酯。适用的是二元或三元醇,例如乙二醇、丙二醇、二甘醇和丙三醇。长链羧酸最好是在直链上有12至18个碳原子的饱和直链单羧酸,例如月桂酸、棕榈酸或硬脂酸。该酯可以是全酯,但是如下述的在分子中含有一个或多个残留羟基的偏酯可能是有利的。可以使用酯混合物,并且是有利的。该润滑剂可含有少量直至50%的一种或多种其他的润滑化合物,例如长链羧酸、其与一元醇的酯、长链醇与酰胺及烃类蜡。
根据它的预定的用途,该润滑剂必须与随后使用的粘合剂相容。通常,在此描述的这些酯是相容的,从而被随后使用的粘合剂吸收或代替,而不会严重损伤该粘合剂可能得到的粘结强度。相反,树脂润滑剂和金属皂润滑剂与粘合剂通常在这种情况下不相容。另外许多常用的润滑剂都是以含有表面活性剂的水乳浊液的形式使用,这可能使润滑后的金属板在贮存过程中产生问题,或引起长期粘结性能方面的问题,根据本发明最好不使用上述这些不适用的润滑剂。
该润滑剂具有高于室温的熔点,最好至少为30℃,这就保证润滑剂在金属基面上以固体薄膜的形式存在,避免在盘卷、开卷、纵切、切割过程中弄脏和结块的问题。使用这种润滑剂可避免那些与粘合剂不相容的油或污染物对金属表面的污染,同时也防止润滑剂在局部产生不理想的厚层。
该润滑剂要在低到足以用含水碱性清洗剂将其从金属表面除去的温度熔化,将它们用于自动生产线以制备用于喷漆的金属部件。在这样的环境,对含水碱性清洗剂来说,可适用的最高温度约为70℃。因此,在低于70℃,且最好低于65℃熔化的润滑剂总是能被含水碱性清洗剂除去。润滑剂的熔点高于70℃能否被含水碱性清洗剂
去取决于它们是否具有化学基团,例如羟基,它可以与碱反应促使其从金属表面上除去。像工业上可用的熔点为85℃的和按西德工业标准53402酸值为135~155的蜡就不能被含水碱性清洗剂除去。另一方面,熔点为81℃和每个分子上具有两个游离羟基的丙三醇单硬脂酸酯能用含水碱性清洗剂除去,因此也在本发明的范围之内。如果在70℃下用15%(重量)Ridoline 160(由ICI公司出售的以硅酸盐为基本成份的专利清洗剂)的水溶液处理2分钟就能除去,那么该润滑剂就被认为是可以用含水碱性清洗剂除去。
在一般情况下,较硬的润滑剂在包括拉伸在内的压制成型操作中其性能更为有效。另一方面较软的润滑剂对包括压延在内的成型操作可具有良好的性能。通常,在分子中存在游离羟基能增加润滑剂的硬度。因此,乙二醇硬脂酸酯、二甘醇硬脂酸酯、丙三醇硬脂酸酯都比环己基硬脂酸酯、十八烷酰硬脂酸酯和类似的非羟基化的酯要硬。因此,游离羟基在润滑剂酯中的存在具有双重优点:它改善了特别是在包括拉伸的操作中润滑剂性能,并使得用含水碱性清洗剂将润滑剂从金属表面除去变得更容易。因此,对本发明来说优选使用的润滑剂为多元醇和长链羧酸羟基化的酯,及这些羟基化的酯与全酯的混合物,这些润滑剂的熔点为35℃~65℃。下面是用作本发明的润滑剂的合适的酯的不完全的一个表,所有这些化合物几乎都可以作为肥皂、化妆品和其他非润滑剂用。

该润滑剂可分散在含水介质中,通常是将其溶解在烃例如二甲苯中。将该液体组合物涂在金属表面之后,通过蒸发将挥发介质除去,留在金属表面上的是一层均匀的固体润滑剂薄膜。选择挥发性液体浓度以提供适当的应用粘度。润滑剂对金属表面使用比率取决于它的使用目的,但是,对于要形成粘结结构的铝卷材,一般使用范围为1克/米2~10克/米2。
实施例1
本发明的二种润滑剂与下列现有技术的四种润滑剂的比较试验:
现有技术的润滑剂A为矿物油,
现有技术的润滑剂B为环己基硬脂酸酯,
现有技术的润滑剂C为工业上可用的主要含有十二烷基月桂酸酯与少量丙三醇单硬脂酸酯的物质,它在室温下为半固体。
本发明的润滑剂1是基于二甘醇单硬脂酸酯。
本发明的润滑剂2是基于二甘醇双硬脂酸酯。
本发明的两种润滑剂在适宜的应用粘度以溶解在二甲苯中溶液的形成使用。
现有技术的润滑剂D含有亚乙基二-硬脂酰胺和月桂酸,熔点为
135℃。
实验步骤:
将上述的加压润滑剂以各种涂层重量涂在尺寸为26厘米×30厘米×0.875毫米的5251合金(铝联合公司,注册)板上,并将其压入钢模中,通过弯曲、压延特别是拉伸形成复杂的形状,压制完成后,其结果是压入坯料边,该压入的程度表示润滑剂的性能。同时还应注意冲压件是否有裂缝。
重复进行试验,其结果列于下表:

现有技术中的润滑剂A、B和C的效果较差,坯料边的压入程度相当小,而且所有的冲压件都有裂缝。相比之下,现有技术中的润滑剂D和本发明的两种润滑剂的效果较好,在所有情况下坯料边的压入程度都相当大,冲压件都没有裂缝。另外,本发明的润滑剂1和2在喷漆工序之前很容易通过在自动化生产线上常用的那种类型的含水碱性清洗剂从冲压件上除去。相反,现有技术的润滑剂D用含水碱性清洗剂不能除去。
实施例2
粘合剂的相容性可通过盐喷射试验来说明。将铬酸盐以150毫克/米2的量喷射到未经清洗预处理的一组5251合金板上。将润滑剂1(实施例1)以2.8克/米2的量均匀的涂到板的两面。将这些板切割成100毫米×20毫米的金属片,将Evode有限公司获专利权的粘合剂人工涂在一个润滑的表面上,用一个10×20毫米的重叠层形成简单的重叠切边连接,并用标准方法打孔,然后将其放入盐喷射室内,间歇的试验连接强度,测定结果如下:

8周 17.9兆帕
这些连接强度完全满意,而且表明该润滑剂是和粘合剂相容的。
Claims (8)
1、一种用于压制成型的润滑组合物,它由溶解或分散在挥发性液体介质中的润滑剂组成,其中的润滑剂包含至少一种具有二个或三个羟基的多元醇的酯,这些羟基中的一个或二个被长链羧酸酯化,它的熔点高于室温,但要低到足以用含水碱性清洗剂从金属表面上除去。
2、根据权利要求1的组合物,其中的多元醇选自丙三醇、乙二醇、丙二醇和二甘醇。
3、根据权利要求1或2的组合物,其中羧酸是在链上具有12-18个碳原子的饱和直链单羧酸。
4、根据权利要求1或2之一的组合物,其中的润滑剂含有至少一种带有游离羟基的酯。
5、根据权利要求1或2的组合物,其中润滑剂的熔点为35~65℃。
6、根据权利要求1或2的组合物,其中的润滑剂溶解在挥发性的烃溶剂中。
7、根据权利要求1或2的组合物,其中的润滑剂和粘合剂是相容的。
8、权利要求1至7的润滑组合物在金属板成型方法中的应用。
