Description

  

      Appareil    destiné à servir de signal acoustique pour     véhicules.       L'objet de l'invention est un appareil des  tiné à servir de signal acoustique pour véhi  cules, caractérisé par la combinaison d'un sif  flet avec une pompe à air actionné par la  rotation d'une roue du véhicule.  



  Le dessin ci-joint montre une forme d'exé  cution de l'invention, donnée à titre d'exemple.       Fig.    1 est une vue de face de l'appareil;       Fig.    2 est une vue dudit de gauche à droite  de la     fig.    1.  



  Dans la forme d'exécution représentée,       l'appareil        comporte    un cylindre a de pompe  à air oscillant sur un pivot b, porté par un  supporte,     fixé    à l'aide d'une bride d à la  fourche d'un vélo. Le supporte porte, en  outre, un arbre e, dont l'une des extrémités  porte un     plateau    à manivelle     f    actionnant  la tige de piston g de la pompe à air. L'au  tre extrémité de l'arbre e porte un galet d'en  traînement     h    destiné à être mis en contact  avec la roue du vélo lorsque l'on veut faire  résonner le sifflet.  



  La bride d est reliée à la partie cl du sup  port c à l'aide d'un ressort, non visible au    dessin, qui tend à     maintenir    le galet h     écarté     de la roue du vélo. Le bras cl est     pourvu     d'une     chaînette        îfz    ou d'un autre moyen     d'ac-          tionnement    quelconque, placé à portée du  cycliste et permettant de le relever tempo  rairement dans le sens de la flèche pour pro  duire l'entraînement du galet     7t    par la roue.  



  Dès que cet entraînement se produit, la  manivelle     f    produit à son tour le fonctionne  ment du piston     g    de la pompe a.  



  Cette dernière porte un sifflet i avec dis  positif de réglage k, destiné à régler à vo  lonté le son du sifflet.

  In the embodiment shown, the apparatus comprises an air pump cylinder a oscillating on a pivot b, carried by a support, fixed by means of a flange d to the fork of a bicycle. The support also carries a shaft e, one end of which carries a crank plate f actuating the piston rod g of the air pump. The other end of the shaft e carries a drag roller h intended to be brought into contact with the wheel of the bicycle when the whistle is to be sounded.



  The flange d is connected to the part cl of the support c by means of a spring, not visible in the drawing, which tends to keep the roller h away from the wheel of the bicycle. The arm cl is provided with a chain îfz or any other means of actuation, placed within reach of the cyclist and enabling him to be temporarily raised in the direction of the arrow to produce the drive of the roller 7t by the wheel.



  As soon as this drive takes place, the crank f in turn operates the piston g of the pump a.



  The latter carries a whistle i with an adjustment device k, intended to adjust the sound of the whistle as desired.
