Description

Rotary electric pump with radial air gap The main patent relates to a rotary electric pump comprising a rotor driven by an asynchronous motor with radial air gap, in which the rotating parts are supported by a single bearing lubricated by the circulating liquid.

The motor armature consists of a magnetic circuit and a squirrel cage, both enclosed in a copper alloy jacket.

The rotary electric pump according to the invention is charac terized in that the magnetic part and the squirrel cage are entirely covered with a stainless steel jacket.

An embodiment of the object of the invention will be described, by way of example, with reference to the appended drawing in which the single figure is a view in section of this embodiment.

The armature of the motor shown comprises a magnetic circuit 1 of rolled sheet metal in which the notches are cut beforehand; squirrel cage 2 is made of die-cast aluminum.

To avoid any corrosion, the magnetic circuit and squirrel cage assembly is perfectly insulated from the fluid conveyed.

A stainless steel jacket consists of two stamped parts 3 and 4. Seals 5 and 6 are made of rubber.

After these gaskets have been put in place, crimping the edges 7 and 8 of the cup 3 with a press makes it possible to obtain a perfect seal by pressing the stainless steel sheet onto the rubber. The shape of the stamped parts 3 and 4 is specially determined to obtain regular contact on the magnetic circuit; the surface delimiting the air gap 9 remains perfectly flat during operation, its hardness being greater than 120 kg / mm2. This hardness is obtained during the various stamping passes of the cup 3 in the case of the rotor shown with a 0.3 mm thick sheet made of 18-8 steel.
