Description
Fig. 3 die Draufsicht auf Fig. 2.
Multi-part closure on cans and bottles
The invention relates to a multi-part plastic closure for filling and emptying openings on cans and bottles, consisting of a resin plug onto the opening neck of the container, with a groove behind an annular projection of the opening neck with a sawtooth-shaped cross-section, on the outside of which via a hinge a hinged lid is connected which, when closed, snaps onto the ring collar and seals the opening of the container.
The advantage of these closures is the possibility of a safe reclosure of the container opening after a partial filling of the container contents has been removed. However, it is difficult to secure such closures, through which unauthorized removal of the container contents during transport from the supplier to the first customer or during storage must be prevented. The previous securing devices consisted either of additionally attached sealing caps and sealing wires or of build-up welds that ensure an original closure. Additional machines and longer manufacturing times are required to carry out the operations required for this.
The task at hand is to produce a closure with a safety device from one piece, which can be placed directly on the container opening as a complete original closure.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that on the side of the lid opposite the hinge band, a second band connected to a locking ring is arranged, which forms the sealing rings on the lid attached to the opening neck after the locking ring has pivoted around the band with a corresponding locking device from below is inserted into the free opening of the ring collar.
The connected parts of such a closure are plugged together in the manner described to form a closed closure unit and can be stored in the closure device for immediate use. This very simple and secure sealing option is practically made possible by the two-part design of the holding device of the cover, ie the ring collar and the locking ring, which are assembled to form a closed plug-on unit and locked against one another.
In order to facilitate the attachment of the closure to the opening neck while at the same time centering it during the closure process and to achieve additional tensioning of the locking ring against the ring collar, whereby at the same time an almost continuous transition of the closure outer contour into the outer circumference of the opening neck should be achieved so that there are no possible attachments over which the attached lock could be levered open, it is proposed that
that the conically chamfered inner surface of the locking ring rests positively against a conical support surface of the opening neck adjoining the upper ring projection when the closure unit is attached, the annular surface of the opening neck adjoining the support surface being aligned with the outer contour of the locking ring.
So that the sealing tape can also be removed without tools, the transition of the sealing tape into the lid edge is appropriately tapered to a predetermined breaking point, with gripping tongues protruding radially outward over the lid edge on both sides of the predetermined breaking point.
The handle tongues protect the weakest part of the hinge from mechanical effects, for example during the transport of the filled container or in the locking device itself.
In the drawing is an embodiment. the invention shown for example.
Show it:
1 shows a closure plugged onto the opening neck of a container, partly in section, in a larger version,
2 shows a closure in the open state in a side view, the pivoting movements for plugging the closure together being indicated by dash-dotted lines.
FIG. 3 shows the top view of FIG. 2.
As can best be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the closure consists of the connected parts of the annular collar 2, the cover 1 and the locking ring 3.
All parts are connected to one another via the hinge tape 4 and the sealing tape 5, the hinge tape 4 connecting the cover 1 to the ring collar 2 and the sealing tape 5 opposite the hinge tape 4 connecting the cover 1 to the locking ring 3.
In the inside of the cover 1, the usual clamping and sealing devices are arranged with which the cover is placed on the annular collar 2 and fastened. Before putting on. On the opening neck 8 of a container, as can be seen from the dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2, the cover 1 is first pivoted about the hinge band d 4 and clamped onto the annular collar 2. The securing ring 3 is then pivoted around the sealing band 5 and inserted into the annular collar 2 from below, the cone 9 engaging in a corresponding mating cone of the annular collar 2. All parts are now locked against each other and form a closed locking unit.
In the extended state (FIG. 1), the annular collar 2 engages behind an annular projection 10, which is sawtooth-shaped in cross section, of the opening neck 8. The conically chamfered inner surface of the securing ring 3 rests in a form-fitting manner against the support surface 11 adjoining the upper annular projection 10 and is additionally braced against the annular collar 2. The annular surface 12 of the opening neck 8 adjoining the support surface 11 is aligned with the outer contour of the locking ring 3, so that an almost continuous transition between the closure and the opening neck is created.
The sealing tape 5 has a predetermined breaking point 7, on both sides of which a grip tongue 6 is arranged on the edge of the lid.
