Description

Method for manufacturing a container, for filling this container by means of a pressurized gas, for closing this container and for emptying the latter, and device for implementing this method The object of the invention is a process for manufacturing a container, for filling this container with a pressurized gas,

closing of this container and emptying the latter. This process is characterized by the fact that, before the end of the assembly of the container, a head screw provided with a sealing gasket is introduced into a wise filling hole made in a wall of the:

container, from the side of this wall which, once assembly is complete, will be inside the container, said screw having a diameter smaller than the hole and being recessed, its recess communicating with the interior of the container pient, while at the opposite end, it is closed by a wall opposite the head of the screw, that a nut is screwed on said screw and that it is tightened after having assembled the container and having it,

filled by said filling hole surrounding said screw, then the container is emptied using a tap having not only a fitting which is screwed onto said screw, but also a trocar making it possible to pierce the wall of said screw.

The subject of the invention is also a device for carrying out this method, which device is characterized by a head screw provided with a recess open on the side of the head and closed on the opposite side, said head being provided with '-a sealing gasket, and by a tap having a screw connection on the screw and a,

trocar making it possible to pierce the wall closing said recess of the screw when said connector is screwed onto said screw.

The drawing illustrates, by way of example, an implementation of the method which comprises the invention by means of an embodiment of the device which also comprises the invention. Fig. 1 shows, in partial section, the upper part of a gas cylinder provided with a valve shown in the filling position of the container.

Fig. 2 shows the same assembly with a valve mounted on said valve, after filling.

The wall 13, which can be the bottom or the dome of a liquefied gas container, such as a butane bottle for camping, is provided with a filling hole 24. It is engaged before the end of the assembly. of the urn container screw head 25 in this hole so that its head 26 appears, once the wall is in place, on the side of the interior of the container.

On the head 26 and on the side facing the orifice 24 is disposed a seal 27.

The diameter of the screw is smaller than the diameter of the hole, so that the container can be filled through the hole although the screw 25 is in the hole. The screw 25 is recessed and its recess 25a communicates with the interior of the container, while at the opposite end, it is closed by a wall 26a opposite the head 26 of the screw.

After having placed the screw 25 in the hole 24, a nut 28 is engaged on it, with the interposition of a spring washer 29.

Fig. 1 shows the position taken during filling with the nut 28 imperfectly tightened, a filling sleeve being shown at 10. The gas enters through the hole 24 into the container.

When this is filled, the filling sleeve 10 is removed, the gas pressure in the container presses the seal 27 forming a valve against the hole 24 and closes it in this way. Now we can tighten the nut to fix the screw 25 in the position of fig. 2.

To empty the container, use is made of a tap 15 having a connector 14 which is screwed onto the screw 25 and to establish communication with the interior of the container and also having a clean .trocar 16 to pierce the bottom 26a of the screw 25, said trocar being hollow at 17 so as to communicate with the interior of the valve and being provided with a seal 18.
