<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent. Nr. 26057.5. <B>Verfahren zur Herstellung eines</B> Stilhenfarbstoffes. Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Stilben- farbstoffes. Das Verfahren ist dadurch ge- kennzeichnet, dass ein Nitrostilben-bis-triazol der Formel

mit 2-(4"-Amino-phenyl) - (naphtho-1',2':4,5- triazol)-5',7'-disulfonsäure in alkalischem Me dium kondensiert wird.
Der neue Farbstoff ist ein gelbes Pulver; er färbt Cellulosefasern in gut wasch- und wasserechten und sehr gut lichtechten, gelben Tönen. Durch Nach behandlung mit Chrom- oder Kupfersalzen werden die Nassechtheiten noch verbessert. <I>Beispiel:</I> 40 Teile diazotierte 4,4'-Nitroamino-stilben- 2,2'-disulfonsäure werden mit 35 Teilen 5-Amino-2- (4'-oxy-3'-carboxy-5'-sulfo-phenyl) - 1,3-benztriazol gekuppelt.
Der rote Farbstoff wird abfiltriert, in 3000 bis 4000 Teilen heissem Wasser mit Ammoniak gelöst und mit einer Lösung von 60 Teilen kristallisiertem Kupfersulfat und 120 Teilen konzentriertem Ammoniak bei 95-98 oxydiert. Der Kupfer komplex des Bistriazols wird durch Erhitzen mit Salzsäure aufgespalten; nach dem Isolie- ren erhält man das Nitrostilben-bis-triazol als g gelbe Substanz.
75,9 Teile dieser Verbindung und 42 Teile 2-(4"-Amino-phenyl)-(naphtho-1',2':4,5- triazol)-5',7'-disulfonsäure werden in 1000 Teilen Wasser und 140 Teilen Natronlauge ; 36 B6 im Druckgefäss 12 Stunden bei 110 bis l20 kondensiert. Das Kondensationsprodukt wird mit Kochsalz ausgefällt, abfiltriert und getrocknet. Der Farbstoff ist ein gelbes Pulver.
Wird der obige Farbstoff in alkalischer Lösung mit Natriumhypochlorit behandelt, so wird ein noch etwas reinere Gelbtöne färben des Produkt erhalten.

The new dye is a yellow powder; it dyes cellulose fibers in yellow tones that are washable and waterfast and very lightfast.
