  Der Farbstoff     stellt    ein blauschwarzes,  kristallines Pulver dar, das sich in Wasser  gut löst. Er kann zum Färben von     tannierter     Baumwolle, Leder, Seide oder Papier ver  wendet     werden.    Besonders geeignet ist er  zum Färben und Drucken von     Acetatkunst-          seide,    auf welcher er sehr klare,     wasser-,     wasch- und lichtechte, weiss     ätzbare,    blau  violette Färbungen     bezw.    Drucke ergibt.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>  24,5     Gewichtsteile        1.3.3-Trimethyl-2-          methylenindolin-5-carbonsäureäthylester    und  23,5 Gewichtsteile     4'-Äthoxy-N-methyldi-          phenylamin-4-aldehyd    werden     in    100 Ge  wichtsteilen Eisessig 5-6 Stunden auf 90  bis<B>95'</B> erhitzt. Auf     Acetatkunst-          seide    gibt der neue Farbstoff klare, blau-    violette Färbungen     bezw.    Drucke von guten  Echtheitseigenschaften.
