Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     quaternären        Aminobenzylaeylamins.       Gegenstand des vorliegenden Zusatz  patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung  der Verbindung der Formel

    gekennzeichnet durch     Umsetzung    von     Stearin-          säureamid    mit     p-Methylbenzylaminobenzyl-          sulfanilsäure    zum p -     Methylbenzylamino-          stearoyl-benzylamin    und Umwandlung dieses       Acylamines    mit     Diäthylsulfat        in    die entspre  chende     

  quaternäre        Verbindung.     



  Die neue Verbindung wird als weiche  Masse erhalten, die sich leicht in Wasser löst  und wertvolle     kapillaraktive    Eigenschaften  besitzt. Sie eignet sich insbesondere als  Weichmacher für Baumwolle und umgefällte       Cellulose.     



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       1.        141o1.        Stearinsäureamid    und 1,1     Mol.        p-          1llethylbenzylaminobenzylsulfanilsäure    wer-    den in     ammoniakalischer    Lösung 6 Stunden  im     Rührautoklaven    auf<B>150'</B> C erhitzt. Nach  dem Erkalten     wird    die Reaktionsmasse ab  gesaugt und mit Wasser nachgewaschen.

    Darauf     wird    das     Produkt    zur Reinigung in  heissem     Amylalkohol    aufgenommen, das  Wasser abgetrennt und die     amylalkoholische     Lösung vom Ungelösten     abfiltriert.    Nach dem       Abdestillieren    des Lösungsmittels erhält man  das     substituierte        Fettsäureamid    als hell  braune wachsartige Masse.  



  Durch zweistündiges Erwärmen mit der  gleichen Gewichtsmenge an     Diäthylsulfat    er  hält man die     quaternäre        Ammoniumverbin-          dung    als weiche Masse, die sich leicht in  Wasser löst und     wertvolle        kapillaraktive    Ei  genschaften besitzt. Sie     eignet    sich insbeson  dere als Weichmacher     für    Baumwolle und  umgefällte     Cellulose.

  The new compound is obtained as a soft mass that dissolves easily in water and has valuable capillary-active properties. It is particularly suitable as a softener for cotton and reprecipitated cellulose.



  <I> Example: </I> 1. 141o1. Stearic acid amide and 1.1 mol of p-1llethylbenzylaminobenzylsulfanilic acid are heated to 150 ° C. in an ammoniacal solution for 6 hours in a stirred autoclave. After cooling, the reaction mass is sucked off and washed with water.

    The product is then taken up in hot amyl alcohol for cleaning, the water is separated off and the undissolved amyl alcoholic solution is filtered off. After the solvent has been distilled off, the substituted fatty acid amide is obtained as a light brown, waxy mass.



  By heating for two hours with the same amount of diethyl sulfate by weight, the quaternary ammonium compound is kept as a soft mass that dissolves easily in water and has valuable capillary-active properties. It is particularly suitable as a softener for cotton and reprecipitated cellulose.

Claims

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of a quaternary aminobenzylacylamines of the formula EMI0002.0001 characterized in that stearic acid amide is reacted with p-methylbenzylaminobenzylsulfanilic acid and the p-methylbenzylaminostearoylbenzylamine obtained is converted into the quaternary compound with dietary sulfate.

The new compound is obtained as a soft mass that dissolves easily in water and has valuable capillary-active properties. It is particularly suitable as a calibrator for cotton and reprecipitated cellulose.
