<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 190154. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines komplex gebundenes Metall enthaltenden Farbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden,,dass ein komplex ge bundenes Metall enthaltender -Farbstoff her gestellt werden kann, wenn man den Farb stoffder Formel

ein kupferabgebendes Mittel und Glykokoll aufeinander einwirken lä.sst.
Der erhaltene F'arbstof bildet ein wasser lösliches blaues Pulver, das oxydischen Film auf Aluminium in blauen Tönen färbt.
Eine zweckmässige Ausführungsform des Verfahrens besteht darin, dass zuerst .durch Umsetzung von Glykokoll mit einem kupfer abgebenden Mittel das Kupfersalz des Gly- kokolls hergestellt und letzteres mit dein Farbstoff umgesetzt wird; Glykokollkupfer hydrolysiert in alkalischer Lösung nicht oder nur wenig und kann deshalb in alkalischen Medien zur Anwendung gelangen.
Im' ferneren kann das Verfahren auch derart durchgeführt werden, dass auf den Farbstoff, der unter Verwendung der üb lichen kupferabgebenden Mittel, wie z. B. Kupfersulfat, in die Kupferverbindung über geführt worden ist, Glykokoll einwirken ge lassen wird. Beispiel:

Aus der rotvioletten Lö sung bildet sich rasch die blaue Lösung der Komplexverbindung, aus der .der Farbstoff durch Eindampfen im Vakuum isoliert wer den kann.

The dye obtained forms a water-soluble blue powder which colors the oxide film on aluminum in blue tones.
An expedient embodiment of the method consists in that first the copper salt of the glycoll is produced by reacting glycoll with a copper-releasing agent and the latter is reacted with the dye; Glycocopper does not hydrolyze or only slightly hydrolyzes in alkaline solution and can therefore be used in alkaline media.
