Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen Monoazofarbstoffes. Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren be schrieben, gemäss welchem ein neuer, wasser löslicher, besonders zum Färben von Acetat- ,geide wertvoller Monoazofarbstoff durch Kuppeln von dianotiertem p-Nitranilin mit dem Natriumsalz des Phenyltaurins, .in wäs seriger Natriumkarbonatlösung erhalten wird.
Gemäss vorliegender Abänderung jenes Verfahrens wird ein wasserlöslicher, beson ders zum Färben von Acetatseide wertvoller l@Zonoa.zofarbstoff dadurch hergestellt, dass man dianotiertes p-Nitranilin mit N-f-Hy- droxy-y-stilfopropyIanilin kuppelt.
Beispiel: Man dianotiert auf übliche Weise 138 Teile p-Nitranilin und fügt die Diazolösung zu einer eiskalten Lösung von ?53 Teilen des Natriumsalzes des N-ss-Hydroxy-y-sulfopro- pylanilins in 4000 Teilen Wasser, welches \?08 Teile Natriumkarbonat enthält.
Nach Vollendung der rasch vonstatten gehenden Kupplung wird das Kupplungsgemisch auf 65 C erwärmt und der neue Farbstoff durch Aus.salzen und Filtrieren abgesondert. Er stellt, in trockenem Zustande, ein bräunlich gelbes Pulver dar, welches mit Wasser eine gelblich-rote, mit konzentrierter Schwefel säure eine rötlich-braune Lösung gibt.
Der neue Farbstoff färbt Aoetatseide in neutraler, 1 % ,Salz enthaltender Flotte, in rötlich-orangefarbenen Tönen.

According to the present modification of that process, a water-soluble dye, which is particularly valuable for dyeing acetate silk, is produced by coupling dianotated p-nitroaniline with N-f-hydroxy-y-stilfopropylaniline.
Example: 138 parts of p-nitroaniline are dianotized in the usual way and the diazo solution is added to an ice-cold solution of 53 53 parts of the sodium salt of N-ß-hydroxy-γ-sulfopropylaniline in 4000 parts of water, which contains 08 parts of sodium carbonate .
After the coupling, which takes place quickly, has been completed, the coupling mixture is heated to 65 ° C. and the new dye is separated off by salting out and filtering. When dry, it is a brownish-yellow powder, which gives a yellowish-red solution with water and a reddish-brown solution with concentrated sulfuric acid.
The new dye dyes acetate silk in a neutral liquor containing 1% salt, in reddish-orange tones.
