Description
Aus Faserstoff-Isoliermaterial hergestellte Schaltkammer für elektrische Schalter. Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist eine aus Hartpapier hergestellte Schaltkammer für elektrische Schalter, deren Gehäuse aus nahezu feuchtigkeitsunempfindlichem Hart papier besteht, während diejenigen Teile der Kammer, die mit dem Lichtbogen in Berührung kommen, aus saugfähigem Hartpapier her gestellt sind. Eine solche Schaltkammer hat den Vorteil, dass einerseits die dem Licht bogen ausgesetzten Teile nicht nennenswert abgenutzt werden, anderseits die Schalt kammer ihre Form beibehält.
Um eine besonders gute Isolierung der Unterbrechungsstrecke nach der Lichtbogen- löschung zu erzielen, werden nach derErfindung die mit dem Lichtbogen in Berührung kommen den Teile der Kammer aus einem solchen saugfähigen Isolierstoff hergestellt, aus dem sich unter der Einwirkung des Lichtbogens keine leitenden Rückstände bilden. Man kann zum Beispiel für diese Teile einen Faserstoff verwenden, der unter dem Namen Fiber und Vulkanfiber bekannt ist. Man kann ferner saugfähigen, mit Schellack ge backenen Faserstoff verwenden, in den sich zum Unterschied von Faserstoff, der mit Kunstharz gebacken ist, keine leitenden Pfade einbrennen.
Eine auf diese Weise verbesserte Schalt kammer zeigt wesentlich verbesserte Unter brechungseigenschaften und lässt sich mit besonderem Vorteil bei hohen Spannungs beanspruchungen anwenden.

A switching chamber improved in this way shows significantly improved interruption properties and can be used with particular advantage in the case of high voltage loads.
