      Zusatzpatent    zum Hauptpatent Nr. 156452.    Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen wasserlöslichen     Farbstoffes     der     Anthrachinonreihe.       Das vorliegende Verfahren     betrifft    die  Darstellung eines roten     Farbstoffes    und be  steht darin, dass man die Verbindung der  Formel

    mit wässeriger     Kaliumsulfitlösung    behandelt  und die erhaltene     Monosulfosäure    aus dem  Reaktionsgemisch isoliert.    <I>Beispiel:</I>  Man erhitzt 1 Teil der Verbindung von  der Formel

    mit 1 Teil     Kaliumsulfit,    2 Teilen Wasser  und 4 Teilen Phenol während 8 Stunden  auf 120  .

   Man bläst das Phenol mit Wasser  dampf ab, filtriert von wenig Unlöslichem  ab und fällt den Farbstoff mit Glaubersalz.  In getrocknetem Zustande stellt er ein leb  haft blaurotes Pulver dar. Er löst sich blau  stichig rot in Wasser und gelb in Schwefel  säure. Die     sehwefelsaure    Lösung wird beim  Erwärmen mit Borsäure ziegelrot; sie zeigt  nun eine gelbe Fluoreszenz.  



  Der     Farbstoff    färbt Wolle und Seide in      echten, blaustichig roten Tönen von grosser  Lebhaftigkeit. Auf anorganische Substrate  niedergeschlagen, liefert er lebhaft rote Lacke  von ausgezeichneter Lichtechtheit.

   The phenol is blown off with steam, little insolubles are filtered off and the dye is precipitated with Glauber's salt. When dry it is a vivid, bluish-red powder. It dissolves in water with a blue tinge and yellow in sulfuric acid. The sulfuric acid solution turns brick-red when heated with boric acid; it now shows a yellow fluorescence.



  The dye dyes wool and silk in real, blue-tinged red tones with great vividness. When deposited on inorganic substrates, it gives vivid red coatings of excellent lightfastness.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines roten Farbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Verbindung der Formel EMI0002.0002 mit wässeriger Kaliumsulfitlösung behandelt und die erhaltene 11Zonosulfosäure aus dem Reaktionsgemisch isoliert. Der Farbstoff stellt in trockenem Zu stande ein lebhaft blaurotes Pulver dar. Er löst sich blaustichig rot in Wasser und gelb in Schwefelsäure. Die schwefelsaure Lösung wird beim Erwärmen mit Borsäure ziegelrot; sie zeigt nun eine gelbe Fluoreszenz. Der Farbstoff färbt Wolle und Seide in echten, blaustichig roten Tönen von grosser Lebhaftigkeit. Auf anorganische Substrate niedergeschlagen, liefert er lebhaft rote Lacke von ausgezeichneter Lichtechtheit.
