Description
Process for the preparation of a yellow 1Vionoazo dye. It has been found that combining a diazo compound from an aniline lfoic acid and 1- (2'-chloro-5'-sulfophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone leads to yellow monoazo-tar substances which are also excellent Licher solubility 'are characterized by the fact that the dyeings on wool produced with them have both very good levelness and very good waterfastness. In addition, the colors are characterized by the green cast and the clarity of their color tones and, in particular, by excellent lightfastness.
The present application now relates to a process for preparing a yellow monoazo dye, which is characterized in that diazotized p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid is coupled with 1- (2'-chloro-5'-sulfophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone.
Example 288.5 parts by weight of 1- (2'-chloro-5'-sulfophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone are dissolved in approximately 1000 parts by weight of water and 212 parts by weight of soda. For this purpose, a diazole solution obtained in a known manner from 173 parts by weight of p-aniinobenzenesulfonic acid is slowly run in. After the coupling has ended, the dye is made to separate out by adding a little sodium chloride; After vacuuming and drying, it is a yellow powder which, with easy solubility, dyes wool in a greenish-yellow shade even in hard water.
The coloring is characterized by excellent lightfastness; very good equality and water fastness is called aas.
