Abstract
<B>PROCESSO DE FORMULAçãO DE SAIS METáLICOS ALCALINOS<D> Metodologia para formulação de bicarbonato de sódio e sulfato de potássio. Em uma concretização, sulfato de sódio e bicarbonato de amónio são reagidos para formar bicarbonato de sódio com o líquido remanescente ou salmoura, tratado com ácido sulfúrico para remover os carbonatos com precipitação subsequente de sulfato de potássio. Uma concretização adicional emprega bicarbonato de amónio, gás de amónia ou dióxido de carbono para precipitar bicarbonato de sódio. O resultado dos processos é a produção de fertilizante de alta qualidade e bicarbonato de sódio para alimentos.<B> PROCEDURE FOR FORMULATING ALKALINE METAL SALTS <D> Methodology for the formulation of sodium bicarbonate and potassium sulfate. In one embodiment, sodium sulfate and ammonium bicarbonate are reacted to form sodium bicarbonate with the remaining liquid or brine, treated with sulfuric acid to remove carbonates with subsequent precipitation of potassium sulfate. A further embodiment employs ammonium bicarbonate, ammonia gas or carbon dioxide to precipitate sodium bicarbonate. The result of the processes is the production of high quality fertilizer and baking soda for food.
